Chapter 14: True Colours
You slowly open your eyes, and turn your head around to the side. You look around confused as you slowly try to sit up but stop when you feel something tugging onto your wrists. Confused you look down at your wrists to see some rope tied securely around it.
Panicking, you look around the room, to see that you were alone in your bedroom, but why were you tied up?
It was then everything came back to you, Cali and Thomas' murders and finding the knife and bloody shirt underneath Jay's bed.
You attempt to pull your arms to try to take the ropes off but to no avail. You pull against the ropes but they were too strong. You wince as you feel the rope cut deeply into your skin. You let out a sigh as you lean against your pillow as you thought of what you were going to do.
Deep in your thoughts, you didn't realise Jay opening the door and entering the room with a tray filled with breakfast.
"Good morning my love, I hope you had a pleasant sleep." Jay greets with a smile.
Startled, you jump slightly at his voice as you turn to look at him as you scramble to sit in a sitting position. You watch with wide eyes as he moves to the bed and sits next to you while he places the tray onto your lap.
He lifts his hand to touch your cheek, but you flinch away. Jay notices this but continues to touch your face anyways. He gently caresses your cheek while ignoring the glare you sent him as he turns his gaze towards your breakfast.
He picks up the spoon and lifts it to your mouth, "Open wide love."
You simply stare at him as he tries to get you to open your mouth. After a while Jay gets fed up, "Love, I suggest you open your mouth if you don't want anything bad happening."
Your eyes widen at his threat, before you glare at him again, "I can feed myself."
"I don't think you can love." Jay chuckles as he gestures towards your bounded arms. You fought the urge of yelling at him that its his fault that your in this position and instead decide to settle on glaring at him again.
"(Y/N)..." Jay trails of, now starting to get really annoyed by your lack of co-operation.
Deciding to let him win this one time because you were both hungry and scared of what he might do if you don't listen to him, you open your mouth allowing Jay to place a piece of pancake with Nutella into your mouth.
"There, now that wasn't so hard now was it?"
You ignore his question as you stare at the plate below you filled with pancakes and Nutella topped with strawberries and bananas. Your gaze focuses on the Nutella, realising it was because of the bread spread that you had time to look around Jay's room to find the truth.
'Guess he still brought the Nutella then huh?' You thought to yourself bitterly as you were being fed by the murderer of your best friend and boyfriend.

"So (Y/N)," Jay states, breaking the silence between you two, "I'm sure you have a lot of questions, but I don't have time to answer them all, so I'm allowing you to ask 3 questions, that'll I'll answer, okay?"
You roll your eyes at his comment and stop yourself from saying 'I bet you don't have time since your too busy murdering everyone I love' out loud. Instead, you thought about the 3 questions you wanted to ask him.
While thinking, Jay took this time to move your now empty plate and placed it onto the small desk in your room, before proceeding to sit back next to you.
"Well?" Jay questions as he stares at your face.
You let out a sigh as you ask him your first question, "Why are you doing this Jay? Why are you doing this to me?"
Jay looks at your face with a small smile, "Why am I doing this? It's because I love you, my love. I got rid of those who didn't want us together or those who tried to get in between us. Your here because I want to protect you, your too innocent for this cruel world love."
You simply stare at Jay's face, feeling yourself get sick with his answer, 'he's doing this because he loves me?' You think to yourself.
"Okay, second question." Jay states.
You look down at your arms as you thought about this question from before this all happened, "My second question is; where did you get the money to buy the Nutella from?"
Jay looks at you for a few seconds before letting out a small laugh, "That's your question?" He chuckles as he looks at your serious expression, "Your too adorable my love, but I'll answer your question. I got the money for the Nutella from when I was on the streets. I had about £5 saved up before you brought me here and used some of that money to buy the Nutella."
You nod your head at his answer, at least he wasn't a murderer and a robber.
You open your mouth to ask your final question, "Jay, when are you going to let me free?" You whisper to him.
Jay stares at you with a thoughtful expression, before answering, "When you learn that this is the best for you."
"How is this the best for me when you've tied me to my bed!" You yell, finally allowing your anger to be free.
"You'd try to run from me if I don't tie you up."
"Jay, I won't run away from you, I swear, please just let me go." You plead.
Jay looks at the ground as he thought about what to do, seeing his hesitation you continue trying to persuade him, "Jay, these ropes are hurting me, please I won't run away."
Jay looks up at you before walking towards you, "You promise you won't run away?"
You nod your head at him, "I promise."
Jay hesitates before grabbing your hands and slowly untying the ropes, once your arms were free, you massage each wrist tenderly, as you gaze upon how red and bloody they had become from you struggling against them.

Jay also looks at your wrists and winces slightly at the sight of them, "Does it hurt?" He questions concerned.
'Of course it does you flipping pyscho!' You had to suppress yourself from answering like that to him as you needed to win his trust, "A little bit." You answer.
"Wait here, I'll be right back." Jay says as he moves towards the bathroom, most likely going to get some first aid materials, "don't go anywhere."
"I promise I won't." You say causing Jay to smile at you as he walked into the bathroom.
Unknowing to him though, you stood with your hands behind your back, fingers crossed as you made your false promises to the boy.
It was now the afternoon, after Jay had treated your wounds, he left you alone in your room to do whatever you wanted to, but 10 minutes prior, he had said that he was popping down to the store to grab some milk and that he'll be back soon.
Taking this opportunity, you walked towards your bedroom door and turned the handle and noticed it was locked, you weren't that surprised with this discovery so you pulled a hair pin out of your hair and stuck it into the lock. A few minutes later, you heard a small click. You stood up and turned the handle, the door now opening.
You smile to yourself at your accomplishment, before walking out and running straight for your landline. You picked it up and dialled 999, but you didn't hear anything. You look down to see that the wire had been cut up, you let out a small gasp before turning around and looking for some way to escape.
You didn't want to use the front door since you knew Jay would be coming back soon, so you headed to the back door. You tried to open it, but it was locked. You looked around, trying to find the keys, but couldn't find it.
You let out a sigh as you grabbed your hair pin to try and open the lock again. But before you could, you heard the front door open. You felt yourself freeze in fear as you heard his footsteps heading your way.
Finding no place to hide in time, you stood awkwardly by the door as you looked at Jay's face, who stared back at you in confusion, before his expression changed to realisation then formed a glare.
"(Y/N)? What are you doing here?"
"Me? Nothhiiiinnnggggg. Just grabbing some water." You say dragging out the 'nothing' as you laugh awkwardly.
"Oh really, where's your glass then?" Jay questions coldly.
"I just finished drinking and washing up, so I was just looking out the window." You state, knowing full well Jay wasn't believing any of your nonsense.
"Really? I hope you weren't trying to escape." Jay says as he looks down at the hair pin in your hand.
You quickly hide the hair pin behind your back, "Of c-course not." You stutter out.
"Really, because if you were," Jay says as he walks towards you, "then I'd not only have to tie you up again." Jay now stood in front of you as he grabbed the hair pin out of your hand and threw it somewhere behind him. "But I'd also have to hurt someone you love dearly... someone like your dear friend Kevin."
Your eyes widen at the mention of your boy best friend, you had totally forgotten about him with everything that had happened. You worried about how he was doing and if he was safe, then you realised that Jay had just threatened you with the said best friend.
"No! Please don't hurt Kevin, please." You plead as tears ran down your cheek, at the mention of another one of your friends getting hurt because of you. "I promise I won't try to escape again, but please don't hurt Kevin."
Jay stares at your face before letting out a sigh, "fine, but if you try to escape once more, I swear love, I will bring Kevin here and kill him right in front of you." He threatens with a cold expression.
You freeze at his sentence before nodding at him, showing him that you agree with him so that he doesn't hurt your last remaining friend.
"Now, come on love." Jay says as he grabs your arm and pulls you out the kitchen.
Confused, you allow him to drag you up the stairs, "Where are we going?"
"Back to your room." Jay states simply, "Don't think you won't be punished for trying to escape."
Your eyes widen at his words, as you struggle against him, "No, stop please. I promise I won't escape, please don't punish me."
"Oh I love it when you beg love, it turns me on." Jay chuckles at you, while you simply stare at the boy in disgust as he drags you to your room. Once inside, he tosses you onto the bed, and you scramble on it, trying to get away from him as far as possible.
Jay walks to the corner of the room and grabs something, your eyes widen as you see that it was the ropes from before. You start crying once again, and pleading for him not to tie you up again.
"I'm sorry love, I have to do this to make sure you won't escape again. Once I trust you enough, I'll let you go again." Jay says with a sad smile as he ties you up.
You struggle against him but he still manages to tie you back to the bed. You let your body lay limp as you realise that you can't get out of this one now.
You refuse to look at him as Jay whispers sadly "I'm sorry love." He reaches out to caress your cheek but you turn your head so that he can't touch you.
Jay simply lets out a sigh at you behaviour, before standing up, "I'll be back soon love, why don't you rest for now."
Refusing to answer him, you ignore him as he lets out another sigh before leaving the room, "I'm doing this for you love." He whispers before he shuts the door.
"Doing this for me my ass." You mumble quietly to yourself as you let yourself cry once more.
