~~ y/n's pov ~~
just a few more clicks and boom. new video uploaded for sapnap. i let out a sigh and twirled in my chair. this really was the life. all of the videos were done and i had the whole weekend to relax and set up my room.
i decided to take a shower and de stress. i walked to my bathroom and yelled out to the apartment,
"IM SHOWERING. DONT COME IN. ANY OF YOU"
as the water fell over me, i realized how tired i was. the past 2 days had been a whirlwind. we built all the furniture the day after we bought it, and i went earlier today to get more decor and stuff to make my room more homey. the apartment was coming together, and we all had our first homemade meal last night, and cookies for dessert.
i finished in the shower, and stepped out. i checked my phone quickly as i dried off and saw that the dt gc was active.
george- can we pleaseeee do sum tonight i am bored
sapnap- u wanna stream?
george- im too tired for that, can we just order dinner and watch a movie?
dream- id love that
sapnap- sounds good to me, where should we eat
george- wait what abt y/n? is she joining us?
dream- sHeS ShOWeRiNG
sapnap- you didn't hear her?
i rolled my eyes. even when i'm not talking i'm still getting teased.
george- alright fine, i'm sure she'll agree anyways
dream- let's get burritos for dinner
sapnap- YES.
y/n- i was SUPPOSED to cook tonight but i am sooo down for burritos instead. also fuck u
dream- WOAH THERE
george- that was uncalled for
y/n- sorry i like to stay clean unlike you fools 🤷♀️
sapnap- whatever, who gets to pick movie?
y/n- ME OR I DONT COME.
george- fine.
dream- so cranky and for what
y/n- princess timeeeee
dream- NOO
i laughed at their stupidity and finished drying off. i headed to my room and realized all of my clothes were still packed. i grabbed a sweatshirt i didn't recognize laying on my bed.
'eh it's probably just one of the boys; im sure they won't mind' i thought to myself and slipped it on. i sat down on my bed and scrolled through twitter until it was time for the movie.

"y/n get in here! the movie starts in 5" nick yelled down the hall at me. wow, where did the time go?
i grinned and grabbed my blanket off my bed and slid down the hall, arriving in the living room with style.
"i am here, let the movie commence" i announced and examined the room. george and nick were already settled on one couch, and clay was banging things around in the kitchen. i sat on the second couch and soon after, clay came over with the food. he passed out all of our burritos and sat down close next to me. george shot me a toothy grin and i rolled my eyes jokingly back. however, the light blush on my cheeks were apparently very visible because the teasing flood gates were opened.
"oh y/n is it too hot in here? your face is really red, we can turn on the ac if u need" nick said slowly, testing the waters.
"no its fine; nick. thanks for asking." i responded dryly, trying to hide the ever growing heat on my face.
"maybe a fever then? it's a bit concerning y/n maybe you need a doctor" george pressed on, clearly getting the memo. i started to hide behind my hands because the blushing was getting out of control.
"i think it might be too cold, shes burying herself pretty deep in that blanket" clay added on, and i knew then i had lost the battle. i threw my blanket over my head and silently screamed into my hands, failing to calm myself down. the boys all laughed for a while and i poked my head out to see if the torment was over.
"shes back! how was your vacation y/n?"
"whered you go? you just disapeared, it was like magic"
"i didn't know humans hibernated in the summer, first time for everything i guess"
clay and nick carried on for what felt like ages. eventually george spoke up.
"alright guys cut it out..."
'OH MY GOD thankyouthankyouthankyoutha-'
"i havent gotten my turn yet."
i groaned loudly and sent the boys into another round of hysterics. the blush on my face was gone by the time they finally finished, so i emerged from the blanket and grimaced. they were all looking at me, waiting for my next move. so naturally, i flipped them all off and scooted away from clay.

"if yall are done, id like to eat my burrito in peace thank you very much." i said confidently and started unwrapping it. groans and sighs were let out but no one continued so we all started eating.
i looked over at clay who hadnt opened his and noticed a fake pout on his lips. i rolled my eyes but slowly slid back over so the others wouldnt see.
"dont get any ideas buddy, i just needed the salsa." i teased, and grabbed it from behind him. when i sat back down, his pout had turned to a big grin.
"oh im sure it is, just dont get comfortable missy" he said back and i stuck my tounge out.
i turned to face the middle and finished eating. nick and george were fighting over who could take bigger bites and i nearly choked from laughing so hard. i stood up to get some water from the kitchen and dropped my blanket back on the couch.
when i came back, the blanket was gone. i stood in front of clay with my arms crossed and sighed.
"very funny, now give it back."
"give what back?" he asked innocently.
"my blanket, i know you have it" i shot back, reaching my hand out.
"oh you mean, this one?" he said and held my blanket up behind him. i leaned forward for it but he moved it back.
"no... ask nicely y/n show some manners" he teased.
i groaned and started to climb over the couch for it. as i reached out my hand again to grab it he yanked it forward and put his arm in between me and him.
"thats not asking nicely, try again" he said again, clearly enjoying it.
my face started heating up again as i shook my head.
"fine, i can live without it. it's not even that cold." i responded and sat back down with my arms crossed.
"suit yourself, you seem comfortable enough in my sweatshirt anyways" he said under his breath and wrapped himself up in my blanket.
of course the sweatshirt was his, this is just my luck. my face was now a bright red as i hid my face in my hands. I was about to say something back before i got interrupted.
"cut it out lovebirds, i wanna get started on this movie" nick groaned. I swear, my face would be permanently red from now on. As i looked up from my hands i noticed this time had clay joined me in blushing. george laughed loudly and turned off the lights as we all started watching.
i won movie picking rights, so naturally i chose tangled. this was the only time i could get all of them to watch a princess movie with me, so i had to take advantage.
as the opening music played i shivered a little bit. maybe i was a little cold, but i don't think anyone noticed.
a little later on, i became fully invested in the movie. in fact i was so into it that i didnt notice the sudden weight on my shoulder. i glanced over slightly and saw that clay had wrapped his arm around me. i looked at him and he was blushing a little bit.
"you looked cold" he said simply and then faced the tv again. i grinned slightly and placed my head on his chest. he used his free hand to cover us both in the blanket and hugged me tighter.
we stayed like that for most of the movie, until i started to feel drowsy. clay was tracing light circles on my shoulder and all the warmth from him and my blanket was so inviting to sleep. my head fell deeper in his chest and it felt perfect. i wasn't even embarrassed anymore, i knew i liked him. it would be stupid to deny it. i just didn't know if the feeling was mutual. my eyes fluttered shut as i laid back, feeling our breathing start to match pace.
after a while i felt an arm wrap under my legs and pick me up. i guess i wasnt fully asleep because i felt someone carefully walking me to my room and laying me on the bed. i wrapped myself up in the blanket and sighed. i was finally falling asleep when i heard a voice sigh.
"maybe one day..."

Fallout: Vault X
An original novel set in the Fallout universe, written to be accessible to all, featuring unique people and places. Vol.II. out now Fallout: Vault X tells the story of John. A vault dweller, who spent every day of his twenty five years underground. Like his father, and his father before him. Proud to live in the last remaining bastion of humanity, all that survived The Great War of the atomic age. Hidden deep below the surface of the earth, toiling under brutal conditions. Year after year, decade upon decade. All to expand into the natural cave system the Vault occupied, building for the future. However, John knew what his forefathers did not, that everything he’d been taught was a lie. After finishing school at the age of ten, John received his standard issue pipboy. An arm mounted personal computer, worn by everyone in the Vault. Used to coordinate the relentless pace of expansion, needed to work as an apprentice. To learn the craft that would be his life’s work. A noble calling to ensure a future for all that remained of the human race. A quirk of fate saw John equipped not with the crude, clunky, pipboy model his father wore. That almost everyone around him wore. His looked smaller, sleeker, finished in a jet black sheen. And capable of doing far more than its drab counterparts. The world above had been ravaged by atomic flames, yet life clung to its bones. The Red Valley fared better than most in the century since the bombs fell. The clean water and rich soil protected by rolling hills. All spared from direct strikes, for the most part. Life survived here. Trees spawned from charred ground, misshapen, green leaves turned red. Along with simple crops, grown wild at first, then cultivated by the survivors. The scavengers of the old world were inventive, hardy people. All determined to rebuild in the ruins of a world they never knew. In the decades that passed settlements emerged. They grew, spreading along the valley floor. Reclaiming the pre-war remnants of the once industrialised heartland. Salvaging the robotic wonders of a bygone age to build their walls and work their fields. To protect them in the dark of the wasteland. But such things are uncommon in this world, and the rarer something is, the greater its value. And the worth of pre-war technology had not gone unnoticed. The last, real, power in this world rested in the mechanised hands of The Brotherhood of Steel. Forged from the mortally wounded old world military. The Brotherhood used its access to the weapons made for a conflict no one won to strike out into the wastes. Men and women were equipped with advanced armour, aerial transportation, high grade weaponry. Accompanied by the training, strength, and will, to put them to use. They established chapters and set up outputs far and wide. All dedicated to a single purpose. To ensure the technology left abandoned by its long dead creators didn’t fall into the wrong hands. Namely, any hands that were not their own. This is the world John escaped into. A place of horrors brought forth from atomic fire. A place where survival meant battling against the darkness. Fighting a war each day to get to the next. And war...war never changes
8 130Glitched! Uplift Arc
[Winner of the April 22 Royal Road Writathon Challenge] In 2202 the System reached Earth. Thankfully it had learnt from previous uplifts and implemented an introductory arc to acclimatise the new participants rather than chucking them in the deep end. The previous practice of just dumping unsuspecting beings into a System designed for the growth of the multiverse had led to catastrophic and sub-optimal results. The return on investment was abysmal. That old trope was so over-cooked - after nearly extinguishing itself through negative returns new policy was required. That was 356 trillion local years back. Now over 5600 successful uplifts had joined the ranks of the multiverse. But the System was always learning, always growing. Still there were glitches. Mostly minor. Mere irritants really. Sometimes even they were catalysts, triggering a fresh expansion. Soon the System would understand why. Our Earth was 7912th. - Ascend - Battle - Challenge - Dominate - Expand - Gro... - Glor... - Where’s the eff word? - Glitch... File corrupted. ---END SYN---
