When I was young, I was told that love solves everything

That just like in the fairytales I will meet my prince too

This thought gave me warmth

I always whispered, „When will you come, my prince?"

as I silently cried in my room

Hearing my parents yelling

reality began to shine through

The lie I held onto for so long

The lie that comforted me

I couldn't let it go

"So maybe, maybe in my next life this beautiful lie will become reality"

My eyes full of tears

My feet touching the cold floor

The wind moving my Nightgown

I let go

Not of this sweet lie

But my meaningless yet precious life
