Her breath froze in her nostrils, uncomfortable, her expression wrinkling. Icicles formed at the tips of her eyelashes, and Kelty wondered briefly why she was doing this. She also wondered if "eyecicles" was funny or ridiculous.
Go on, the Voice urged. You know you want to.
"Be quiet!"
No need to be rude, the Voice chided. I just want to see if you can do it. You probably can't...
"Enough!" she shouted, and a knot of sparrows startled from the branches above, annoyed at this interloper in their peaceful wild home.
