But she didn't.

I looked back onto that last moment we'd shared.

I was so mad at her, I never got to say goodbye, I never got to tell her I was sorry.

I tried my hardest to remember the last words I told her.

The truest words I'd ever said.

Those memories are all I had left of her. And I wished to never lose them.

I wondered whether I would always feel this way. If I, when I was old and had had a family, would I still see her as the one that got away?

I know on the outside, it was just a teen fling, like so many others had had. But to me it meant so much more than that.
