ƛs the doctor left, Rey turned back to Ben. She knelt at his side once again, holding his hand in hers. She brought his hand up to her lips, kissing his bruised knuckles. "Thank God you're alright," she said, meaning it. If Christopher hadn't brought the doctor when he did, Ben probably wouldn't have made it. God had heard her prayers.

She stroked his hair, fondly. "I'm going to take care of you," she whispered. She wasn't sure if he could hear her, but if he could she wanted him to know that she would be there for him. And she needed to be able to talk to him, even if he didn't reply.

She stood and went over to the pitcher, pouring a small amount of water into a cup. Then she gently lifted his head and cradled him in her arms. She slowly trickled a small amount of water into his mouth, making sure that he had swallowed it before she gave him anymore.

Just as she finished giving the last of the water to Ben, Christopher opened the door and came into the cell. He place a pot of warm water on the table.

"The doctor told me to give you this warm water. He wanted me to tell you to wet some cloths and place them on his ribs and his head to keep the swelling down," Christopher said.

Rey nodded. "Thank you, Christopher," she said.

"Oh... and I brought you some clothes," he added, passing her a small stack of black clothes. "This was all I could get, some of my clothes. They're not fit for a princess, but they're better than the rags you're wearing."

Rey smiled at him. "Thank you, Christopher." She accepted the clothes gratefully, she had began to worry that if her dress got torn too much more, it would fall off. If she tore much more of her skirt, she would be showing more skin than she wanted anyone but Ben to see. It was already half way up to her knees and she already felt a little uncomfortable as it was.

He nodded. "To me Ben has always been a brother and that made you my sister-in-law. I know that Ben would want me to look after you as best as he could while he is unconscious and unable to do so."

Rey smiled at him. "Ben talks about you all of the time. He always said that he missed you and that he wanted me to meet you. He cares about you very much."

"I know, he has always been a brother to me. And in a way he is the closest thing to a father I have ever known. When you have children, I know he'll take care of them. He would make a wonderful father."

Rey nodded. "I'm looking forward to it. I just hope that we can find a way out of here. Ben would never agree to starting a family in this situation."

Christopher nodded. "A dungeon is no place for a baby. I'm sure this won't last forever."

Rey nodded, hoping he was right. More than anything else she wanted to raise a family with Ben.

"Promise me you'll take care of him," he said.

"I promise. I love him, I would do anything for him," she answered.

Christopher smiled at her. "I'll check on you again tonight when I bring your supper. Let me know if you need anything else."

"Thank you, Christopher," she replied, hugging him. "Just be careful and don't get caught."

He nodded, then turned to leave.

Once he was gone, Rey dipped a piece of cloth into the hot water and gently placed it on the bruised area of Ben's ribs. Then she gently dabbed the warm water on his bruised, swollen cheekbone. She had hoped that the water on his face might also help him come back too, but he didn't move.

She carefully lifted him and leaned his head against her shoulder as she placed the warm cloth on the back of his head where Snoke had hit him. She could already feel a knot beginning to form there, and she couldn't help but worry about him.

She couldn't deny how wonderful it felt to hold him so closely, and she did so a little longer than what was necessary. She carefully laid him back down on the bed, then placed the warm cloth over his ribs again. There wasn't anything else that she could do for him right now, so she decided to change into the clothes that Christopher had brought for her before someone came in.

She took the pile of clothes and unfolded them to find a pair of black leather leggings and a black tunic. She stood in the corner so that she wouldn't be seen by any guards that might decide to look in through the hole in the door. She turned to face the wall, with her back facing Ben, just incase he woke up while she was dressing. She smiled, he would probably be pretty embarrassed if he woke up to find her half naked.

Christopher was young and hadn't fully grown yet, and the clothes fit her almost perfectly. When she had finished changing, she sat her torn dress aside then turned back around to face Ben. He was still unconscious and hadn't moved at all since she'd last looked at him. Her heart sunk, she had been hoping to turn around and find him watching her with his beautiful brown eyes, filled with love. But he lay there unmoving, eyes glued shut.

She went over him and gently placed her hand on his arm, he felt cold and she could feel him shivering slightly. She grabbed the blanket and pulled it over him, then she sat down on the floor next to him. She rested her head on the pillow next to him, leaning her head on his shoulder slightly. She reached up to place her hand over his, intertwining her fingers with his.

"I love you, Ben," she said softly. There was no reply, but she knew what he would have said if he was awake.
