The next five days were similar to the first except that Amelia didn’t confine me to my room all day. The days were spent with Alex and sometimes Annabelle, and then Alex would accompany me the whole night, ending with taking me to our meadow and us dancing until he had to carry me back to my room because I was tired.
Today was the last day of the ball and tomorrow everyone would be leaving to return to their homes.
It was midmorning and Alex hadn’t come to get me this morning. I had stayed in my room and Amelia was having breakfast with me.
“Have you seen him around anywhere?” I asked her, hoping for an answer I would like. Unfortunately, it wasn’t the answer I was hoping.
“No, I haven’t. I’m sorry.”
I let out a huff of frustration and bit into my now stale toast.
“Well, should we get started on today’s preparations?” I asked.
“Yes, that would be good to start.”
I got up and went into my bathroom while Amelia went to go and pick up my gown. There was a lot of hot water waiting for me in the tub so I slipped of my garments and slid into the warm water. I closed my eyes, relaxing with the hot steam hitting my face. I opened my eyes and something on the floor caught my attention. I reached over the tub and picked it up examining it. It seemed to be a note so I unfolded the parchment and read the handwritten message.

Dear Victoria,
I’m terribly sorry that I could not accompany you to breakfast today. I had some business to tend to. I will see you at the ball. I love you.
- Your Love,
Alex
I smiled to myself and set the note aside.

I was wearing a white dress with blue trim. My hair was up in an elegant braided bun, and I was wearing this beautiful blue stoned bracelet that the queen had let me have. I was once again surprised at how beautiful I looked. I walked out of my room confidently. I was no longer scared of what the other girls thought of me. Thankfully though, no one was milling about in the corridor. I walked down the stairs to the ballroom and was met with the same loud party as the previous nights.
I walked to the stairs leading up to the royal family and proceeded in climbing them. The guards knew me by now so they let me pass through easily without question. Alex spotted me almost immediately and he broke into a smile. Rushing down to meet me, he almost tripped, which caused me to laugh, but he quickly regained his composure and proceeded down the steps.
“Wow.” He whispered.
I blushed and looked down at the blue, lace trim on the bottom of my dress. Alex lifted my chin up and stole a quick kiss before he pulled me out onto the dance floor.
We danced for a while until I felt as if my legs would fall out from underneath me if Alex wasn’t holding me up.
“One last thing tonight.” He whispered in my ear.
I looked at him in confusion but followed him out to our meadow anyways. The meadow was decorated as it had been the last five days but I couldn’t tell if there was something that was different.

As I looked around trying to figure out what was different, Alex’s arms wrapped around my torso and we started swaying.
“Want to know something?” Alex asked me.
“What?” I replied.
“I love you.”
“I already knew that.” I giggled.
“Then I’ll tell the whole world.”
I waited expecting him to scream something but he leaned down until he was level with my ear and whispered, “I love you.”
I spun around giving him a quizzical look.
“That wasn’t the world.” I giggled again.
“You are my world.” He said standing still. “I love you so much.”
A breath caught in my throat and I choked back a sob of happiness. Alex got down on his knee and pulled out a little diamond ring.
“Victoria of Lyham, will you be my wife and my queen?” He asked with a grin plastered on his face.
I ran jumping into his arms saying “Yes! Yes! A million times yes!”
He hugged me and spun me around while kissing my cheeks and making me giggle. He finally put me down and slipped the ring on my finger.
“It’s beautiful.” I whispered. I had never had something this priceless in my possession in my entire life.
“I’m glad you think so. Come on.” He held my hand and we walked back to the ball and back up the stairs to the king and queen.
“Father, Mother, We have something we must tell you.” Alex started.
“Well it took you long enough. “The king said.
“Pardon me.” Alex said.
“You two are getting married. I said it took you long enough.”
Me and the queen burst out laughing until Annabelle came up behind us.
“What’s going on?” She asked us.
I held up my hand and she squealed with delight. She hugged me.
“Congratulations Victoria!”
“Thank you.”
The king stood up to my surprise and quieted everyone down. Annabelle pushed me and Alex together and stepped back with a smile on her face.
“Ladies and gentlemen, may I present to you the future Alex and Victoria Marvin. You are all invited to the wedding, yada yada… you all know where I’m going with this. Enjoy the rest of the ball and congratulations to the both of you.” The king said seeming rather tired.
I held back a giggle and was soon kissing Alex full on the lips in front of practically everyone in the kingdom.
“I love you.”
“I love you more.” I shot back.
The End!!!!

Superworld
Matt Callaghan is in trouble. In a world where everyone has superpowers, he's got squat, and has spent the last five years faking being clairvoyant just to avoid getting caught. Unfortunately, Matt's lies have started to catch up to him, and when a desperate bluff backfires he'll need every ounce of cunning, conning and juvenile delinquency to stay undetected and alive. Jane Walker is trouble. In a world where everyone is powerful, Jane stands alone and apart, hated for her ability to copy abilities and atrocities far beyond her control. But fate is a fickle friend, and a chance encounter soon finds Jane hurtling towards her lifelong dream - or prejudice, humiliation and a violent, painful death. Unbeknownst to them, Matt and Jane’s paths are inextricably intertwined, and as each struggles to find their place an unseen force will draw them ever forward – closer and closer to a secret whose existence threatens not just their lives, but the fate of the entire world. A loving homage to and twist on the superhero genre, Superworld is a fun, subversive story about identity, empathy, connection and courage which has been called “very entertaining and creative” and “an absolute pleasure” by readers, and "completely unreadable" by the author's blind grandfather.

Odd, How I Got Here
I somehow got teleported...or something of the such into this new realm. Hopefully I can survive in this world I've only known of from anime, games and fanfiction... "Not much hope into this, huh?" Ooooohh...not, at, all... Well, time for f***ery and beyond... (This will teeter between T and M for safety, and sadly updates will be slow) ((Coverart from Valley ingame via Steam image capture, and with slight edit by me))

Remorse
I have killed many people over my long life. Men, women, children. None have escaped the shadows that I control. It was only one tiny mistake that I made that changed my life forever. I underestimated her, and I would pay for my hubris. “For every death you have given, you will feel their pain.” What? “For every person you have killed, you will feel regret.” Wait, wait… “For every murder you have commited, you will know what you have done.” I don’t think this is going to be pretty. The power leaves her voice as she continues in a softer tone. “I will give you back what you have lost, you will feel empathy again.” Her power releases me and I fall to the ground. Diana. That was her name. I will remember it. ******** This story starts out somewhat dark, but it will lighten up after the first chapter. I tend to not enjoy the psychological tag too much since stories with the tag tend to be a little insane for my liking, but I feel that I would be remiss not putting it on this story, since a lot of it is about the psychology of the main character. All the content warnings are checked since I want to leave my options open to me for the future. I hope you enjoy.
