《What Happened To Us? (Amourshipping)》Ch. 4: Dead? Part Two

The plane bounced as it hit the runway in Saffron City and rolled along the pavement before coming to a stop with a loud hiss off the hydraulic brakes.
It was just past 5 a.m., but I hadn't gotten any sleep, for fear of being discovered. For now, I thought that it was best if the world thought I was dead, even Ash. I watched the news on the plane ride, as did almost everyone else, and it confirmed my suspicions about the explosion I heard. The last part hurt me much more than anyone else. We hadn't even kissed...
I got into the terminal, still adjusting to the different atmosphere of Kanto, I saw a woman in her mid twenties with dark green hair and violet eyes walking towards her. She had a red coat with yellow buttons, red pants, a tall, black boots. She had a sense of authority about her, and the crowd at the airport moved out of the way. They gasped when she came to a stop, right in front of me, and I could hear shocked whispers of, "What does she want with that girl?"
She threw out a pokeball, and an Alakazam came out, and with a flash of of white light, I was suddenly right outside a silver building with a weird structure. The woman then spoke, "Kalos Queen, I do not know why you seek me, or why you choose to let the world think you're dead, but you must have your reasons, and it is your duty to tell me, not mine to force it out of you."
I gasped, thinking, "How could she know, I thought this disguise was enough to fool anyone?"
"Remember, I am a psychic, so I can read people's minds, and also know their true identities within one second, but I will not always read your mind, because I know that you have things you want to keep to yourself there."
I nodded in understanding, "So you are Sabrina, I presume?"
"Yes, that I am, now let's go to my room to talk in private."
I nodded, and she then led me through a large amount of corridors, so many, that I thought it would take months for me to memorize all of them. They eventually got to the end of a hallway, and Sabrina opened up a door. Behind the was a dimly lit room with brown walls and a battlefield in the middle. Around the battle field was a blue marble floor, and large whit columns supporting the ceiling. On the other side, there was a large chair with a large torch one either side.

"Welcome to my battlefield." Sabrina said rather enthusiastically, and then probably noticed I was nervous. "And no, we aren't battling yet, but why don't you show me your Pokemon?"
"Okay, guys come on out!" I released Braixen, Pancham, and Sylveon, and they look around in confusion, the growled at the sight of Sabrina. "I guess I have some explaining, huh?" Once I was done, my Pokemon looked at me in shock. "Don't worry, we will get our position back, count on that, but Shauna will definitely take good care of the Kalos Region, which reminds me, I need to inform her of her new position." Everyone else face-palmed.
I took out her holocaster, realized I had a missed call and voicemail, which I decided to listen to later, from my mom and called Shauna after using the app that told me she was alone. She picked up instantly, and screamed, "OMA SERENA, YOU'RE ALIVE, I CAN'T WAIT TO TELL EVERYONE!"
"Shauna, calm down, you aren't telling anyone, not even my mom, and you are the new Kalos Queen."
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN I CAN'T TELL ANYONE, AM I SUPPOSED TO LIE TO THE WORLD ABOUT YOU?" Shauna screamed.
"Well, you don't have to lie... you just don't tell anyone..."
"I don't like this, but you must have your reasons, and I respect that. Wait, what did you say about me becoming the Kalos Queen?" I could tell Shauna was happier at the fact she was the Queen.
"Well, Aria didn't want to go back, so you were the next best choice, so yeah... congrats."
"Thank you thank you thank you thank you Serena! I would rather have all this not happen, but I'm at least Kalos Queen."
"No prob, but I gotta go, see ya."
"Bye, come back soon!" She then hung up.
I sighed, and could tell that Sabrina had not seen someone with a personality such as Shauna's from her almost freaked out expression.
"Yeah, it takes a bit to get used to her-" I started.
"No, it's fine, I just haven't seen someone with that kind of personality in a couple of years..." Her voice trailed off. "She just reminded me of Ash."
"Oh" My voice was saddened.

"Don't worry, if he was still alive I'm sure he would still love you more than anyone else."
"Thant's the thing..."
"Huh?"
"It's just that i don't feel like he is actually dead, I feel like the part of me he filled up would be empty, but it doesn't feel like that, it's hard to explain..." I sighed and sat down against one of the columns in defeat.
"Don't worry, if you do both love each other, this kind of thing can happen, no one can explain it, but it is a good thing." Sabrina's kind words reassured me. "Wait here, I have something for you."
I nodded and waited as she went behind her chair, and when she came back out, she held a yellow egg with a thick and a thin brown stripe around it. "This is an Abra egg, you two will unlock the secret to your psychic power together under my guidance and my Pokemon's."
"How do you know it is an Abra egg?" I asked.
"Simple, it came from my Alakazam." She answered.
"I see, thank you so much, I'll be sure to keep good care of it."
"I'm sure you will, don't worry, I can tell already that you two will reach new heights together. Greater than those of mine."
I was taken aback by her words, but nodded, and said, "I will not let you down, but there is one thing that still confuses me, how did you know I was coming?"
"Olympia told me, she saw into the future, and figured I should know, but somehow didn't put the pieces of the puzzle together."
I nodded, relieved that no one else knew of my presence.
"You should probably get a new outfit so people don't recognize you as easily as they would if you were in you normal outfit." Sabrina suggested.
"I know what I should wear!" I exclaim as I pull an outfit out of my backpack.
Sabrina nodded in approval when I was done changing, "It fits you, and how about a fake name of Rin Xavier?"
"Sure, that sounds good to me." I exclaimed.
"Good, you should get some rest, we will start your training tomorrow, and I can tell you're tired and stressed, so a long sleep should deal with that. Follow me, your room is right next to mine."
I nodded gratefully, and followed her to the back of the room, and she led me to one of the doors. "I know it isn't much, and you might want to change some things, but it will hopefully suffice for now." She said.
"Yes it will, thank you so much for allowing me to stay."
"No problem, now go get that sleep."
I nodded, and climbed into the bed, falling asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow, still in my clothes.
At Lumiose city:
A huge mourning parade followed a group of people mourning the most, as they walked the streets of Lumiose, as people from all over the world came to mourn 'The Fallen Trainers'.
The group then got onto a platform just before Lumiose Tower, and Professor Sycamore stepped forward. "We gather here to mourn the two fallen trainers, Ash Ketchum, and Serena Yvonne. While it is hard for all of us, we must move on, and part of that is crowning a new Kalos Champion and Queen, so give it up for your new Champion Alain, and Queen Shauna, picked by Ash and Serena them selves in case something happened. Both Alain and Shauna have decided to not give their speeches yet, but will be crowned by Diantha and Aria. So if you please, begin."
Diantha and Aria both went through the motions as they did with Ash and Serena, and the crowed still chanted their names, but without as much enthusiasm. Both Alain and Shauna understood, and they would do the same thing if they were in the same position.
The group then went upstairs to go eat dinner. The table was in a very uncomfortable silence, as no one talked, because they were still mourning, or in Alain and Shauna's case, lost in thought. When they were all done, they got up and took care of their dishes, and went to bed in silence.

Blood & Noodles
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] As they always have, humanity hunts the gods roaming the world, craving the supernatural power that flows within their veins. Even a drop is zealously guarded, passed from master to student through the ages. It is with this stolen power that the Blooded - those with divine blood coursing through them - grasp beyond mortality and achieve prestige, power, and greatness. Yet, for every fraction of power gained, thousands perish, slain by the gods' supernatural prowess. But everything is beginning to change. Eight years ago, for the first time in human memory, a god was felled. Part-time chef and full-time nuisance Orvi wants nothing to do with gods. Living in a derelict city, his only concerns are ensuring his adopted family's restaurant is prosperous and how to best beat the neighbourhood boys in a fight. If he's lucky, he might even snag a date with the farmer's daughter at the market. But even though he cares nothing for the gods or their blood, the world won't leave him alone forever. Because to reach godhood, one must first leave their humanity behind. *** The first arc of Blood & Noodles follows the adolescent Orvi as he attempts to navigate his rapidly changing home and - by his own definition - protect his family. The story is told almost entirely in the first-person, from the perspective of a teenager who isn't always the sharpest tool in the shed. There are tragic elements, especially in the current arc. It's character-focused and driven, though the protagonist's shenanigans are backdropped by a world operating independently from him. Orvi's a generally light-hearted character, and though the story veers into darker territory, I also want it to be able to make readers smile. Action sequences, despite the fantastical elements, are meant to be grounded and clearly-conveyed; Orvi is a brawler, not a warrior. I'm trying to write a story that's enjoyable to read and flows nicely, mainly because it's more fun to write. I'm also trying to improve my writing, so any feedback, whether positive or negative, is welcome!
