The next day, we were all in the basement, as per usual, when Eric and Donna came down stairs with a pan of brownies.

"That was a nice one you guys pulled on us last night. Gotta hand it to you." Eric complimented the guys, offering them "special" brownies. I didn't take one however. I could tell something was up. "I just can't believe my own sister left me."

I was about to say something when Kelso opened his big stupid mouth. "Well yeah. She'd rather be making out with Hyde." I punched the giggling idiot in the arm before looking up at my brother who asked what he was talking about.

"He he. About that..." I stuttered, trying to find a way to tell him. "You see.... Hyde and I are kind of.. um.. dating."

"You've been nailing my sister!?" Eric yelled at Hyde. "Come on, man!"

"No. Eric. Eric!" I got in front of him before he was able to tackle Hyde. "Calm down!" I yelled at him. Man, he was furious. At that point, the laxatives in the "special" brownies kicked in and Hyde, fez, Kelso, and Jackie went running for the bathroom upstairs. Donna left too, to let me explain to Eric.

"What the hell?!" Eric yelled at me.

"Eric. I can explain." I paused a moment to gather my thoughts. I sighed before saying, "Hyde and I are dating." He was about to say something but I cut him off. "And before you start yelling, no. We have not had sex."

"How long has this been going on?" He asked after a moment of thought.

"Since prom..." I told him reluctantly.

"So you've been dating Hyde for over a year, and you haven't done it yet? How am I supposed to believe that?"

"Despite what you may think of Hyde, your best friend, he is actually extremely sweet and kind and considerate. He respects me and my feelings. I'm not ready and he understands and respects that. It was my idea to hide it from you guys and he just wanted me to be happy. When I told him I was ready to tell you, he made sure I was actually ready. He cares about me. And if you don't want me to date him, well... too bad!" I started out nice and calm, but my voice gradually got louder and angrier until was nearly to tears.

I was about to stomp away when Eric hugged me. "It's okay. Really. I was just in shock..."

"Really?" I whispered into his shoulder.

"If he hurts you, I'll kick his ass." That made me laugh because really. He's a stick. He wouldn't win. What made it funnier is that Hyde came back downstairs at that same moment.

Eric didn't understand why I was laughing until Hyde whacked him in the head. "I don't think she's the one you need to worry about." Eric laughed nervously before leaving to find Donna.

"So how'd he take it?" Hyde asked, grabbing my hand.

"Surprisingly well, actually." I smiled at him.

"Good." He leaned down to kiss me. I kissed back rather roughly due to my excitement that the gang was okay with us; happy for us even. But before we could do anything more, Kitty called us up for dinner.
