Now out of the prison like asylum. Meredith embraces the air outside and gets ready to go home with her mother-in-law. As she was about to call for a cab, her eyes glue themselves on female who happened to be matching Julia's appearance on the otherside of the road, looking very poorly walking barefoot on the cold dirty pavement.

She calls her name from a distance, hoping it may be her, to get a very unexpected reaction; It is in fact Julia, who becomes frightened and runs away like as if she's being chased by her nightmares.

Julia breathless, runs like a mad woman towards a bridge and without thinking twice she climbs up and jumps, having her head hit the concrete very hard, gushing blood from her shattered skull, lying there dead on the ground as Meredith approaches the cold lifeless body. Tearfully, she let's out a scream of distraught, forming a crowd around them. Someone calls for an ambulance in the horde full of curious strangers.

Julia is declared dead before she hit hospital grounds. Which emotionally scars Meredith, making herself think she was the cause of Julia's death. It got to her and mentally disrupted her, she began having nightmares about Julia. Meredith's mother-in-law kept an eye on Meredith after that trauma.

2 months later, Meredith's mother-in-law realised that Meredith has changed a lot. Meredith was becoming more like Julia. For releasing the pain, Meredith would be careless and sometimes asks her mother-in-law to call her by a different name. When Meredith is herself again she start crying and won't stop till she becomes someone else.

Mother-in-law contacts Jackie, who is no longer a nurse at Stonehearst, but asks her for help since she doesn't want Meredith to go back there. Jackie comes over to see how bad Meredith had been affected by her sister's death.

Eventually, Jackie has no choice but to take Meredith away from her mother-in-law and have her admitted to a better asylum with an excellent treatment facility called 'Longhill Asylum' where it is said that most patients recover from the service.

Meredith once again a mental patient develops hatred towards people around her, she feels the need to get rid of them, since they think they know what's best for her. Her ex - husband, Peter comes to visit out of pity of the loss of her sister. He tells her that; "there's a new Dr who applied for a job here, I'm sure you two would get along, her name's Dr. Bloom" with a vile smirk on his face, he leaves dead flowers for her walking away with a devilish attitude.
