From the small blurs that I could see, the light had gone. The beautiful blue sky darkened with clouds that looked smudged with charcoal. It seems it was a reflection or maybe a warning of what is to come...or who is to come. I felt the wind started to blow hard. A leaf hit my head. The wind picked up the fallen leaves, making it feel like confetti had just been blown out of a canon. Flashes of light hurt my eyes. Lightning struck the earth, ready to crack it in half. A loud drumming ringed in my ears. I didn't know it was the sound of my very own heart beat, hitting hard against my chest, until I heard a deep bellowing drum that rolled over the clouds in the sky. Thunder.

I gulped. I heard everyone slightly panic. Feet were running. I heard people grabbing their things. I felt someone grab unto my shoulder and I yelped.

"Ssshhh, it's okay. It's me, Lil."

I sighed in relief, "Dad! What's happening?"

Suddenly the temperature dropped. And when I say dropped...I mean like I felt the grass slowly freeze into a cold frost. It felt like breathing in ice as I inhaled. What is going on? What's happening?

I heard my mother ask, "What's going on, Eddie? What is this?"

"I don't know!" He growled. I held unto my father's arm when I heard the Alpha yell out, "Eddie! Come here we need you!"

My father growled in frustration. I felt him take my arm and place it in my mother's, "You stick with your mother, Lily." He got Xavier and Kieth to come and guard us just in case something went down.

I was scared. Something was happening. Something big. A tingling sensation started to course through my body. I lifted my head up towards the sky. There was something hanging in the air. A powerful presence. A dark and evil presence.

The presence was getting stronger and stronger with every passing moment. My wolf was going insane inside. She could not be still. She seemed anxious and nervous. I was so confused as to what is going on. Everything was so happy and cheerful before. And now...we are all waiting for this dark presence to make itself known.

"Something is seriously not right," I heard Kieth say quietly.

"I've felt this before." I confessed.

"What do you mean, Lil?" Asked Xavier.

"I've felt this...this presence before. Fifteen years ago, do you remember?"

"No." Kieth answered.

"That day. The war. The fire. The lake. The-"

"Hellhounds." I heard Kieth growled, "They've come back."

NOAH's POV

I knew exactly who was coming. I'd know that presence anywhere. They are coming back. He is coming back. Coming back for what is rightfully his.

I could see Solomon, Lincoln, Eddie and Xander standing there near the tree line. My lycan senses know that they are not too far away. I walked near Eddie and Xander and grabbed them both on the shoulder, "We need to chat lads."

Both of them shook their heads, "Something is about to come and possibly attack us and you want to talk?" Growled Xander.

"I know who is coming."

Both of them turned to me with serious faces, "Who is it?" Asked Xander.

I looked towards my right at Lily. She was holding on to her mother while Kieth and Xavier were next to her. I sighed.

"They've come back,"I mumbled under my breath, "He's come for his payment."

I looked past Xander and Eddie's confused faces and stared at the three dark figures that has appeared at the edge of the woods. They've come. They're here.

Xander and Eddie turned around. As soon as they laid eyes on them they were instantly ready to fight.

Xander stepped forward and growled deeply and angrily, "What are you doing here? You have no business here."

Zeus stepped out and laughed deeply...but there was nothing joyful about his laugh. There was no light in his voice. Only wickedness.

Zeus slicked back his hair and brushed his hands over his expensive looking suit, "You see Xander, that is where you are mistaken. We made a deal, I hope that you will honour it."

"What deal?" Xander snarled.

Zeus took another step forward, "The deal where I get my payment for sparing your pack. I held my end of the bargain. I have come to claim my prize."

I could see Xander was confused, "What is your prize."

I stepped in and said, "Lily. He wants Lily."

Zeus chuckles deeply, "And that is why you are my favourite Noah. Us british men know each other well, don't we? You don't miss a detail."

Eddie yelled out, "No! You will not have my daughter. She will be no use to you! She is blind and helpless. Ask for a different price. There are hundreds of other females you can pick from, why would you want, Lily?"

"She is mine!" Growled Zeus, "This has been my price since the very beginning fifteen years ago. You either give her to me, or I will slaughter you all where you stand without a blink of an eye. I've done this many times before, what would make a difference by adding one more pack to my endless list of kill? Hmm?"

Xander stood wide eyes. I don't think he knew what he got himself into...or more like the entire pack. Eddie stood there fuming as Zeus stood there rather calm and relaxed, however, he will not budge on his price.

"So what will you choose Xander? The death of your entire pack or one mere girl?"

Xander stepped forward, almost nose to nose with Zeus as he said, "War...I choose war."

Zeus stared at Xander without blinking. Looking at him like he's as a low life as a human, "Foolish Alpha. You have no idea what pain and distruction you have just put upon your people."

"You underestimate me, Zeus. I have more power than you think."

"No you don't, " He said with a voice dripping in power and arrogance, "You only have power, if I allow you to have power. Your pack will be dead by sunrise. It will be as if they along with you have never existed."

"NO!" A voice screamed out of the crowd. And there stood Lily. Zeus stood there as if in a trance as he stared at Lily. His eyes glowed.

"Honey, You go back to your mother now!" Commanded Eddie.

"Let her speak." Zeus said calmly.

Eddie snapped back, "You can go fuck yourself. Lily do what I just said now!"

Zeus stepped forward aggressively, "I am the one that is in control! I am the judge, jury and executioner. You have no authority. If I say let her speak...she.will.speak."

Eddie was fuming as his daughter walked passed him and up to one of the most powerful creatures in the world.

LILY

As he stood there arguing with my father and the Alpha, I couldn't help, but be the slightest bit curious. My heart was still beating fast, but from fear. Strangely, there was a yearning in my heart, a craving, a hunger. My wolf wanted to rip out of this body and sprint...sprint to our enemy. The most dangerous, evil and wicked creature to walk in our world. His presence was heavy. I felt it deep inside of myself.

As he spoke, it was a very very deep, raspy and rough English accent. It was so raspy and deep that my ears were straining to hear what he was saying. I close my eyes and listen to his sound. For some strange reason...it was soothing to my ears. I liked hearing it. I imagine him leaning in and whispering something nice in my ear. I open my eyes and shake my head.

I've always tried to be good. All my life, people have known me as being the good child. So why am I wanting to be near such a wicked creature? Such a terrible man that has done the most evil of deeds?

I didn't like it. I didn't like that I like him.

"Lily. He wants Lily." My eyes widen when I heard Uncle Noah say this. I frowned in confusion. He wants me? My heart beat stopped in fear. I was scared. Why would he want me? I was his price. I was his payment. He's here for me. To take me.

Then all hell broke lose. My father began to shout. Chaos stuck to the air. But I could stop this. I could make sure everything and everyone was okay.

I step away from my mother. She instantly tries to grab me again. I get loose of her and I step through the crowd slowly, trying to find my way, and I step into the open.

As soon as I step into the open, everyone had gone quiet.

"Honey, You go back to your mother now!" My father said angrily.

"Let her speak." Zeus said calmly.

My father shouted, "You can go fuck yourself. Lily do what I just said now!"

Zeus growls very aggressively, "I am the one that is in control! I am the judge, jury and executioner. You have no authority. If I say let her speak...she.will.speak."

I slowly walk forward, not knowing where he is exactly. But I use my senses. I use this strange connection we have to find him. As I slowly walk ,I reach my hand out, "Where are you?" I asked quietly.

A hand touches my own. From that one touch, electric shocks courses through my body, a strange and warming sensation. I flinched and gasped in fright. The big and strong hand gently grabs mine and softly pulls me forward. A breath hits my face slightly. I was right in front of him. He leans down toward my ear, his almost touching it. His breath makes chills run over my neck as he whispers very quietly with a deep voice, "Here I am."

He was my mate.

NOAH

I saw the connection both of them had as soon as she stepped forward. I sighed and said out loud, "They are mates."

I heard the crowd gasp.

"No!" Eddie yells defeatedly.

"Shit." I heard Xander curse.

Soul rubs his face in stress as they all heard the news.

LILY

"If I go with you, you will spare them?"

"You have my word."

I gulped and nod my head, "I will go with you on the condition that you will never step foot back into this pack again. And that this pack will be under your protection against any enemy."

His breathing was loud as I could hear him thinking, "Done. The Blood Moon will be under the protection of the Hellhounds."

I nod my head. I didn't know what else to do. I was leaving. His hand that held mine tightened as he drags me away from my home, "Come, Lily. We shall depart."

Panic hit me, "Wait! Can't I say good bye to my family? My pack?"

I could hear him growl in frustration, but he let me. I can only say good bye to my parents.

"Please, let me say good bye to everyone. Everyone here is my family."

I heard him scoff, as if amused by my asking such a question, "I don't care. You are simply a deal made done, you do as I say. Now go and say good bye before I drag you out here without a word."

I was appaulled by him. How could he be so heartless towards me. His mate. He acts as though I was another meaningless wolf that you pass by in the street. A faceless person of no value or significance.

I turned around and walked back.

I heard my parents running to me as I walked. Their arms instantly surrounded me, almost like they were trying to protect me, trying to hide me, keeping me from leaving.

My mother cried and cried as did my father. As I heard their sobs, my own cry soon joined theirs. I felt my eyes sting from the tears. My lip quivered as I said shakily, "I love you both so much." I closed my eyes and revelled in the moment. I knew there was a slim chance of me hearing their voices ever again.

I felt so much pain, pain of the loss of my family and my pack. I will soon be alone, be a slave to this monster. I was so frightened of what was to come. What my future has for me.

I said goodbye to my parents. I felt them slowly let go of me. As soon as they were out of touch, I felt so alone. I felt so heart broken. I was never to hear their beautiful voices ever again.
