I watch Octavia jog off.

"that is so not game" Monty says to Jasper and he slaps his shoulder Monty slaps him back then Jasper dose it again so on and so forth. We get up to Clarke and Octavia crouched down. I crouch down along with the boy and Clarke puts a finger on her mouth signaling for us to be quiet.

"no animals huh" i hear the boy say while i gaze at the deer in amazement. He moves up a little and steps on a stick resulting in a big crack. The deer turns its Head towards us revealing another one attached to the side. We all jump back a little in surprise.

After walking a while the boy breaks the silence "you know what id like to know why send us down today after 97 years?" he ask walking down the hill. "what changed?"

"who cares i'm just glad they did" Octavia says "i woke up rotting in a cell now im spinning in a forest" she said twirling around a tree.

"i second that" i say.

"maybe they found something in a satellite....you know like an old weather satellite or--"

"it wasn't a satellite the Ark is dying" Clarke cut him off. "at the current population level there's roughly three months left on life support maybe four now that we're gone" she walks passed us. While we stare in shock.

"so that was the secret they locked you up to keep, why they kept you in solitary and floated you old man?" the boy asked.

"my father was the engineer who discovered the flaw he thought the people had a right to know the council disagreed my mother disagreed, they were afraid it would cause a panic we were gonna go public anyways when Well---" she stopped.

"when what turned in your dad" the boy finishes for her with a questioning gaze.

"anyway the guard showed up before we could before we could do it that's why today" she finished Finn nodding. "that's why today it was worth the risk...if we all die at least it bought them some more time" Clarke looked back at me then Finn then straight again.

"they're gonna kill more people aren't they?" Monty asked. Octavia jumped down "good after what they did to me...i say float em all" she walked forward

"i agree they tortured me they don't deserve to live" i followed.

"YOU DONT MEAN THAT" Jasper shouted after us.

"oh damn i love earth" Jasper said. "me too" i said nudging him with my elbow. Looking at what he was it was Octavia in her underwear.

"Octavia what the hell are you doing?!" Clarke yelled shoving past us. Octavia stood on the edge of the cliff and looked at her and then jumped. We heard a splash and ran forward Clarks smile grew.

"Octavia?" I asked concerned looking at her.

"we cant swim" Monty said

"i know but...we can stand" she stood laughing.

"wait there's not supposed to be a river here" Clark said confused.

"well there is so take of you damn clothes" Finn said.

I laughed pulling off my jacket and boots when i saw Jasper looking at something. "Octavia get out of the water" Jasper said in a hurry. "GET OUT OF THE WATER NOW" he screamed as a giant snake looking thing swam up behind her. It grabbed her and pulled her down.

"OCTAVIA!!" I yelled. She screamed and was pulled under. We stood looking at the water trying to find her. "AHH" was heard and we all turned to see Octavia resurfaces. We all run over.

"what the hell is that we have to help her" Monty says trying to get a closer look.

"what are we gonna do"

"try not to get eaten" i said and tried to step forward but Clare stopped me.

"no wait" she says "if we distract it it might let her go help me" she says bending down to move a rock the boy, Jasper, and Monty help her move the rock. It hit the water and the thing came darting towards the rock. "it worked it let her go"

"can you get to the shore now" Jasper screamed but i was already ahead of him and jumped in to grab Octavia. "hey i got you" i held her tightly and pulled her with me.

"its coming back" they yelled at us "hurry".

"im trying" I pulled her onto the shore right before it could get my foot. We both gasped trying to get are air flow working again. I looked down at her leg as Clarke and Finn came over. I pulled my shirt off and handed it to Clarke.

"use it its fine" I reassured. She wrapped it around her leg "your gonna be ok" she told her. Octavia hugged me "thank you" she said in a whisper.

"note to self next time save the girl" Monty said to lighten the mood. We all laughed a little even Octavia.

"yeah next time" Jasper whispered to himself.

It was now dark and everyone was asleep except me, the boy I learned was Finn, and Clarke but i could not move seeing as Octavia was asleep on my chest. Clarke saw something and went after it while i just sat there thinking. I risked my life today for a girl I just met I jumped into a river with a killer snake with no second thought just to save her. With that though I fell asleep.

We are now standing at a vine that Finn said we can swing across the river with. "you wanted to go first now quit staling" Clarke said to Finn who was pulling on the vine. "Mount Weather awaits" she says.

"just hang on till the apogee and you'll be fine" Jasper said.

"the Apogee like the Indians right?" Finn asked pulling the vine more.

"the Apogee not Apache" Jasper corrected.

"He knows. today Finn" Clarke said looking at him. All the while I stood shirtless with only a jacket waiting for these idiots to do something

"aye aye captain see you on the other side" Finn solutes and goes to jump.

"wait" Jasper says "what" Finn ask Jasper looks at Octavia then back "let me" He is definitely trying to get her attention. "I can do it" he says. "knew there was a badass in there somewhere" Finn hands him the rope.

"hey its ok to be afraid Jasper" Finn says in a more hushed tone "the trick is not fighting it" he pats his back,

"yeah see you on the other side" Jasper says and then runs holding the vine he goes flying to threw the air. "WHEEEEE AHHHH" he yells in excitement. He lets go of the rope and face plants on the other side but stands back up.

"WE ARE APOGEE" he screamed throwing his fist in the air. We all throw are fist up as well

"YEAH"

"YEAH"

"WOO"

"YES"

"WHOO"

"YOU DID IT JASPER"

"YEAH"

we all cheer "lets go princess" Finn says handing the rope to her. "your up"

"COME ON CLARKE YOU GOT THIS WHOO APOGEE" Jasper yelled from the other side "WE DID IT" Jasper yelled from the other side holding up a metal sign that say 'MOUNT WEATHER' on it. "MOUNT WEATHER WHOO WHOO" he yells

"yes go jasper" Finn shouted until a spear came out of nowhere striking Jasper in the chest.

"JASPER"

"JASPER COME ON COME ON JASPER" we screamed in worry. "JASPER NO" Clarke yelled "no come on" he grabbed her.

"get down" i said and we gather behind a rock and Clarke speaks up

"we're not alone"
