《Field Trip to the Avenger's Compound》The Training Room

I teleported back to the common room and informed the others of where Peter and (Y/n) were going.
"We should go ahead down there now. They are probably almost there," Clint hollered from the kitchen. They all went to the elevator, but I just teleported. Oh, these kids are in for trouble. Also, why the hell did I say toodles? I thought as I was going.
The class walked out of the elevator and started walking towards the training room.
(Y/n) turned to Peter and whispered, "I'm gonna kill Loki. He's gonna be a dead man by morning."
"Yeah, whatever. You know he's like a brother to you," Peter joked back.
She rolled her eyes and playfully punched his shoulder. Peter looked down and (Y/n) swore she saw a blush on his face.
They kept on walking and when they finally got to the room Katherine informed, "Okay class! It seems we have some visitors!"
Peter and (Y/n) looked at each other and sighed. They walked through the door and there they were.
Bucky, Steve, Nat, Clint, Loki, Thor, Wanda, Vision, and Sam were all in the room that they barely used. (Y/n) and I came in here when we didn't want to be bossed around by Steve. He always made us train the hardest we could.
"Hi, there kiddos! We have some things for you to do if you're interested," Clint exclaimed.
"You all had your safety waivers signed, right?" Katherine asked. Mr. Harrington nodded in her direction as to say everyone was clear.
"We have some archery, weight lifting, and some self-defense stations set up for you. In the end, we will have a sparring competition where we will put you against each other," Nat explained.
She saw (Y/n) and I and said, "Hey паук and маленькая шапочка! What are you doing here? You better not be skipping school!" (Y/n) eyed her down, "Tu sais pourquoi nous sommes ici ."
She switched her language so Steve could understand her. He knew a small amount of Russian, but he was fluent in French. (Y/n) and Steve always bickers in French and it's always hilarious when they do. (Y/n) told me that he learned French in the army so he could understand some of the Howling Commandos. Natasha smirked when she heard (Y/n)'s response.
"Nous serons gentils " Nat remarked.
"Sure you will," (Y/n) mumbled and I chuckled at how desperate she looked. I looked over at the class and I'm pretty sure half of their jaws were on the floor. This will be great. I thought to myself.
The class stood there watching the exchange between the Black Widow and (Y/n). Most of the kids were confused about why a person as great as Black Widow was talking to the loser. Flash's face was about as red as a strawberry. Peter and (Y/n) stayed quiet after the interaction and went back to where they were standing.
"Our lives have been turned into a mediocre sitcom and I'm gonna need it to stop," (Y/n) whispered to Peter.
Peter tried to hold back his laughs, but he is really bad a containing laughter. Steve saw the two teens attempting to hold back laughter and smiled to himself. He and Bucky think that they have crushes on each other. Scratch that. He they have crushes on each other. Steve first noticed when he saw how Peter looked at (Y/n). It was the same way he looked at Bucky.
"Alright, everyone. Let's start the stations!" Nat said in her fake-happy voice pulling Steve out of his thoughts.

Most kids scrambled as fast as they could to the different stations, but Peter and (Y/n) trudged as slow as they could.
"Pick up the pace guys. It's almost like you don't want to see us," Sam joked with the two teens.
They walked a little faster but to them, it was a snail pace. (Y/n) and Peter decided to do some archery with Clint. Archery isn't really something they were experts at, but they were pretty good and it was fun in general. Clint, of course, made them custom bows that they could use at any time they wanted.
"Do you want your bows?" Clint asked nicely.
"We can just use these for now. Plus I don't really want to go up and get them," Peter laughed causing Clint to chuckle.
The class went through every station they were doing and it came down to the final sparring they were doing.
"Okay everyone I will pair you up with someone to do a simple spar with. Please go easy on each other. This is not the time to beat up bullies," Steve explained.
"Oh please. In the 30's you'd beat up anyone who would give anyone a dirty look," Bucky yelled out.
Steve turned red in the face and (Y/n) snickered quietly.
"Anyways. You and you spar first," Steve pointed to 2 kids who looked about the same size so they had a fair chance.
The two fought and the girl beat out the boy she was fighting. A lot of the girls cheered for her and the boys were a little intimidated by her.
Just wait till they have to fight (Y/n). I thought. Ned was sparring Flash now and I felt bad for him because Flash was doing a number on him. Flash ended up winning and Steve had the winners sit on a bench across the room.
"I bet they're gonna make us fight each other," (Y/n) whispered to me.
"I bet, but they've never seen us spar. This will finally give them the chance," I whispered back.
"True. They will probably make it so we are the final 2. You better not be Puny Parker when you fight. Give me a good fight," (Y/n) urged.
I gave her a smile and she returned it.
"Peter annnnnnd you right there. Come up," Steve commanded. He pointed to Bryce. Aww shit. I thought. Bryce is one of Flash's goons that has "beaten me up" before. I looked back at (Y/n) and she gave me a confident nod. Standing up a little taller, I got in the spot where we would fight.
"3...2...1... fight!" Steve instructed.
He comes at me very aggressively and I block all his punches. I kick his shin and he falls down. Pinning him down Steve counts to 3 and I won. We stand up and Byrce is still in some pain. I peer over and see (Y/n) cheering for me.
"Good job Pete. Go sit on the bench," Wanda says ruffling my hair.
You saw Peter beating Byrce's ass and you were so proud of him. Flash and his friends were speechless that Peter could take him down, but you were just happy that Peter actually beat him instead of chickening out. Peter sat down on the winner's bench as far as he could from Flash and you chuckled quietly at that.
"Okay (Y/n) and you there. Let's go," your dad called out.

Your dad has assigned you to fight Adam. He had picked on you the most of Flash's goons other than Flash himself. This will be good. You projected your thoughts into Peter's mind. You'll be great. He thought back. Peter gave you the same confident smile you gave him moments ago. You stood tall and squared up with Adam. Adam is very tall, but he doesn't have much muscle. He'd be one of the easiest people to take down. You've taken down people and things 4 times bigger than him, so you have this in the bag. He stepped up and you noticed he had a weak stance. Leaning too much forward and his feet were in a bad position were just 2 things you noticed.
"Alright. 3...2...1... go!" your dad sounded.
Adam came running towards you and you slid on your knees, elbowed the backs of his knees, and stood back in your fighting position. He was still on the ground, so you took advantage of it and pinned him in the most painful way you knew.
Adam yelped out in pain and your dad said, "Okay (Y/n) that's enough."
You got off of him and walked to the winner's bench and sat down. Peter gave you a side hug and a bunch of the girls in the class cheered loudly for you.
"That was amazing! You should have seen the look on his face when you took him down. It was priceless," Peter commented.
You both laughed and watched the rest fight.
Steve told me to fight Flash and I felt my face go white. Flash seemed the happiest he'd ever been.
"Take. Him. Down." I heard (Y/n) in my head.
If I do I'll have to fight you next. I thought back.
I'm counting on it. She said back.
I looked over and saw her smiling at me. Flash stood in front of me and I put my hand out for him to shake it for good luck. He just smacked my hand away and that just fueled my fire. I narrowed my eyes and took my fighting stance.
"3...2...1 go!" Steve called out.
Flash threw some punches, which I blocked or dodged. I could feel his anger brewing and he started getting more aggressive. His movements were getting sloppier as he flailed his arms toward me.
I kept blocking and I heard (Y/n) yell to me, "PETER I SWEAR IF YOU DON'T THROW A PUNCH OR SOMETHING I WILL COME OVER THERE AND BEAT YOU MYSELF!"
This made my face go red, but I listened to her and threw 3 quick punches to Flash. He fell down and I quickly pinned him in a painful way.
"YES!" I heard (Y/n) yell.
"Alright! Good job Pete! (Y/n) come over here and show Peter who's boss," Nat yelled out.
(Y/n) walked over and we shook hands as a form of good luck.
"Es tu effraye?" " I asked her.
"La suele chose dont j'ai peur, c'est de me casser l'ongle " she responded smirking.
The people in the room who knew French started laughing. I rolled my eyes at them and we both got in our fighting stances.
"3...2...1... GO!" Steve yelled.
Peter was the first to make a move. He tried kicking her legs, but she jumped up and kicked him in the nose. Peter stumbled back a little but turned it up and started going ham on her. She came back with the same energy. The class watched in awe as the two fought. It was like watching an intricate dance. Their fight lasted for a solid 2 minutes when Peter pinned her down. She looked him in the eye and decided to distract him. (Y/n) kissed him on the nose and flipped him over and held him down with her super-soldier strength. A very flustered Peter just stayed put and gave up squirming.
"Winner! (Y/n) Rogers!" Loki congratulated.
(Y/n) helped Peter up and the class came up and congratulated her. They mainly had questions on where they learned to fight, but Peter and (Y/n) said they took karate classes a while ago. Most of the Avengers who were there were shocked about how skilled the two were at fighting.
"Well class I hate to break up the fun, but it's time for us to go," Katherine said. The class groaned and started heading to the door.
"Actually Peter and (Y/n) will be staying here," Bucky said motioning for Peter and (Y/n) to come over to him.
"Mr. Barnes we can't let you keep them here. They need permission from their guardians," Mr. Harrington hesitantly said.
"Well, we asked FRIDAY about an hour ago to send an email to their guardians and the school that they were staying here," Steve firmly spoke. Mr. Harrinton just nodded, not wanting to argue with an Avenger.
"Bye guys," Peter said awkwardly. Most people ignored him, jealous that he and (Y/n) got to stay.
"Well that was one hell of a spar you guys had," Steve said once the class was gone.
As if on queue everyone yelled, "LANGUAGE."
Everyone started laughing except Steve.
"I knew that would never go away," he mumbled.
"Come on dad. It's hilarious!" (Y/n) giggled. He gave in and chuckled a little.
"Alright everyone, let's go eat some dinner," Nat said. Everyone agreed and walked towards the elevator.
"Well, I'm gonna head to the lab. (Y/n) you wanna come?" I asked.
"You know I do," she replied. We said our thank yous and ran off to the lab.
"I'm gonna work out some kinks in my suit," I said.
"Same here. This morning someone somehow tore a hole in the back of my suit," she explained.
I watched her start working on her suit. She had her tongue sticking out through her teeth the tiniest bit. I have to tell her. I thought. Instead of telling her I just started working on my suit.
"(Y/n) I really like you", I say quietly.
She looks up from her desk, "What".
She heard me with her damn enhanced hearing.
"I like you. A lot," I say louder this time.
(Y/n) looks at me directly with her beautiful (e/c) eyes and says, "Why me?"
She looked down, avoiding eye contact.
"What? You are the most amazing, incredible, beautiful being I've ever met. I like you and I'm terrified that you don't feel the same," I said taking her hands in mine.
Her eyes left the ground and she stared at me with those captivating (e/c) eyes. I feel a sudden boost of confidence.
And I lean in, so carefully. "Please," I say, "please don't shoot me for this."
Surprisingly, she pulled my neck and kissed me. I was a little in shock that she kissed me, but I kissed her back. It was like we were the only people on the planet. Nothing else mattered at that moment except me and her. We pulled away and rested our foreheads on each other.
"I like you too Peter," she breathed.
They both thought this day would be the worst day of their lives. It turns out, it was the best day ever.

8 88Yin-Yang
Mages in North America seem to have it all – typically from well-off families, and able to manipulate their environment in ways most of the world would never believe. They don’t even have to bother with the mundane details of life like housework, thanks to their sensitives, who also make a useful source for extra magical energy. After all, sensitives have no use for it themselves, and if mages weren’t meant to make use of it, then the sensitives would obviously have some way to prevent that. That a mage can transform a sensitive physically, with no restrictions beyond overall mass and basic biological viability, whereas magic tends not to work directly on any other living thing, is only further proof. And look at the way they live on their own, barely a step above animals. It’s better for them to belong to a mage. Sensitives in North America live on the edge of society and survival – typically so paranoid they avoid hospitals and anything else that could lead to being tracked, many of them with little or no education and no legal identity or existence. Mages exist, and mages want sensitives for some reason, but no one ever comes back to explain what that reason is. Waiting every day for the hunters to notice them doesn’t lead to much motivation or hope for the future. And once they’re captured, they’re the property of someone with a terrifying amount of power over them. Anything is better than capture. Mages are born to be the masters, and sensitives are born victims. Or are they? Jax’s life is turned upside-down when he’s caught by the hunters and sold to a mage. Andreas is still mourning for his previous sensitive, though, unconsciously creating a difficult standard for Jax to live up to, all the more so while still struggling to come to terms with this new reality as Andreas’ sensitive. A runaway sensitive isn’t what Van expects at the mental health centre. Is this a hunter trap, set for him and the rest of the Donovan family by the hunters? The hunters would, after all, love to see them cross the line openly and finally do something they can be charged with. Either way, Miranda’s genuinely in trouble, and he can’t just abandon her to it. Snatching a sensitive out from under the hunters and hiding her is odd behaviour for a mage – but then, Catherine is an odd mage, living in disgrace in the old servants’ quarters of her grandmother’s house, responsible for cooking and housework. Lila owes Catherine her freedom; is there a way to help Catherine achieve her own, and at what price? Tension is building between traditionally-minded mages and those advocating change, and something has to break. *** Yin-Yang includes a small amount of profanity and no graphic sex or on-screen physical violence. However, sex and gender roles and relationships within the mage/sensitive subculture are non-traditional in mainstream North American terms. The key criterion in a primary relationship is not relative sex or gender, but the pairing of mage and sensitive; given the transformation of sensitives by their mages, physical sex is non-absolute for a sensitive, and gender identity can vary as in anyone else. *** *** The way mages treat sensitives is extremely varied and, in some cases is outright abusive. The struggle against that is pretty much the point of the book. It is NOT grimdark or misery-porn! However, if you will be triggered by this, please, don't read Yin-Yang! *** Complete stand-alone novel, 153K words! Also available on Scribble Hub and as a free ebook.
