《Skaikru ☣ Bellamy Blake [2]》Another Way To Live

Time ticked while they waited for some hope of salvation to their predicament. Bellamy was focused on the radio while Clarke helped Echo into their extra suit. Nia had stood a few feet from everyone not wanting them to know of the condition of her suit.
Lucky seemed to be on their side as Monty had answered and was on their way to them. But they could only hope it was quick enough as Emori began to cough up in her suit.
Murphy was quick to her side. Nia soon after, worried about her well-being. Clarke did a quick look over and made note about the tear in her helmet seal.
"Can you fix it?" Emori asked worried about the exposure she was suffering from.
"We just need tape. That's all. It's gonna be fine." Murphy reassured her.
"We don't have any tools or weapons." Clarke noted not taking into account Nia's weapons that she held.
"So we give her the extra suit, then." Murphy countered not liking the option of not saving Emori.
"We don't have another suit." Bellamy reminded that their extra suit was currently on Echo. Echo who stood stuff watching the confrontation.
"Yes, we do! Take it off now." Murphy commanded before advancing to Echo.
"I saved your life." Echo retorted reminding them of the situation they were in earlier.
"What were you gonna do if we didn't get attacked, huh?" Murphy called out bringing attention to him. "I mean you guys seriously think she was following is out of the kindness of her own heart? No. She was gonna attack us the second that we stopped. Give me the suit."
He went to attack again but Bellamy wouldn't have it. He tried to calm him down the best he could.
"I'm not letting her die." Murphy demanded.
"Neither am I." Clarke spoke up gaining their attention. She went to grab the helmet of her suit and began to unhook it.
"Clarke, what are you doing?" Bellamy questioned watching her actions. But what no one seemed to notice was the two girls behind them.
"I have nightblood." Clarke stated still believing that's the solution they had.
"Untested nightblood." Bellamy responded not believing the solution was that simple.
"We're testing it now. Take off her-" Clarke began to instruct but they had turned back to Emori, only to see Nia with her helmet off and keeping a close eye on Emori. Emori's helmet laid carelessly on the ground beside them.

"Nia, what the hell are you doing?" Bellamy asked before moving toward her. Concerned filled his eyes as he looked her over.
"You were taking too long to debate. Besides I won't be needing it." Nia spoke simply not looking anywhere but Emori.
"Despite your decision, I will not allow you to become exposed to radiation willingly." Bellamy responded back making his stand point known.
"It wouldn't matter if I kept it on either way I would've been exposed." Nia stated before showing them the tear in her suit.
Everyone stood not knowing what to do. A tear in the helmet was one thing but a tear in the suit, there was nothing they could do. The radio sounded and Bellamy spoke to Monty. His eyes never left Nia as he told him to hurry. His worry taking over as she was exposure to the high levels of radiation.
"Thank you." Murphy told her once he was settled beside Emori. Nia nodded her head simply before walking a few yards away.
After much more arguement, Clarke had decided to test her nightblood. So now two people were being exposed much to Bellamy's displeasure.
While they waited for Monty to arrive, Bellamy opted wall toward Nia who seemed to blend into the darkness. But when he approached the sound he heard did not give comfort.
He peered around the trees and saw her hunched over with the sound of her gagging in the air. He hurried over and tried his best to soothe her.
"This is why I didn't want you to give up your helmet." He told her once she began to stand straight. She wiped away the blood before he could glance at it.
"It wouldn't have mattered." She replied reminding him of the rip.
"We could've figured something out." He persisted wanting her to at least have some sort of protection.
"Well if Clarke's theory is true, then I wouldn't have to suffer long." Nia hinted but didn't reveal her secret.
She didn't give him time to reply as she left him puzzeled and went to check on Emori. Bellamy made his way toward Clarke to check on her and see if she might have any insight to Nia's words. The two talked but were cut off when Clarke began to cough up blood. It was the same symptom Bellamy saw Nia just moments before. Nightblood was not the quick solution they were looking for.

Monty pulled up just then and made a comment about Clarke. Harper went to retreieve the extra suit while the others began to load up. When she returned she went to put the suit on Clarke when the blonde waved her off.
"Nia needs it. I can put my helmet back on." Clarke stated before retrieving her helmet. Bellamy pulled Nia aside when she was walking away and insisted she change suits. She didn't argue this time but rather changed suits.
They all piled into the Rover but some thought they'd be continuing to the island, while some knew the time slot for that option was gone. But what surprised them was when everyone was in the Rover that Clarke announced they'd still be going to the island. It wasn't till they were on their way when they were informed of the plan that Clarke had thought up. Feelings of relieved were felt along with fright and confusion. But it was a way for them to survive without the option of facing Praimfaya.
The remainder of the journey seemed long but soon they were entering the compound that Raven was held. They walked inside till they stood on a landing and at the bottom of the step was Raven.
"What are you doing here?" Raven asked surprised by their presence. She had figured that if they hadn't showed that meant they wouldn't be coming at all. All she had been doing was watching the time tick away as her end seemed creep toward her.
"We're not leaving you behind." Bellamy noted while making his way down.
"But there's no time to get back." Raven noted the time had long passed for them to be saved by the bunker that awaited.
She had been rather surprised to see Nia there and in fact embraced her in a hug. A smiled graced Nia's face as she felt comforted by the girl's presence. It seemed like so long since the two had been in each others presence.
"We're not going back. We're going up." Clarke stated their plan that they had come up with once they walked past her.
"Oh, don't look so surprised. It was all your crazy idea to begin with." Murphy commented about the situation Raven had been in before they had all left her.
"Space?" Raven answered but remembered the problem with that plan. "We don't have enough fuel to get down."
"Sounds like a 5-year problem to me." Harper responded with the time frame they'd be working with.
"You're talking about the Ring." Raven mentioned again knowing that their chances of survival would be nothing without a solid place for survival. And what better place than the structure they lived on for decades.
"Seems like a shame to let a good rocket go to waste." Bellamy added hoping to get her on board with the idea.
"How do we live?" Raven asked wanting to answer all the problematics they might face up there.
"They left a water reclamator there, and we know that go-sci had an algae farm. We just get those two things up and running, and we have food and water." Clarke listed the solutions.
Nia didn't think that her, Emori or Echo understood what they were talking about but it wouldn't matter to her. Right now she would help in any way she could to ensure that they were gone when Praimfaya hit.
Raven was still very skeptical with the idea as it seemed more problematic at every turn, but with her and Monty, they just might stand a chance. Not to mention that if they didn't do this they would face Praimfaya and would have no chance of survival.
"Raven, we need you to her is off the ground before the death wave hits. What do you say? Can you do it?" Bellamy asked wanting to know whether they would face their demise or would they take their chances on the impossible.
"What do I say? I say that death wave can kiss my ass." Raven responded with confidence.
Her answer made Nia smile once again. She admired Raven's spirit and the way she was able to answer the most complicated problems they faced. She was one of the people that should never have to face Praimfaya.
"Good. It's settled, then. We're going back to the Ark." Clarke finalized giving them their alternative solution.

I, Mor-eldal: The Necromancer Thief
As a budding little necromancer, I soon discovered that the world of city people is complicated. When my master kicked me out of the cave, he warned me not to talk about my “dark” magic, because people here don't like the undead. I am not really an undead, I just have a skeleton hand, but it is better to be careful. Anyway, that's not my biggest worry. In the Black Dagger brotherhood, I learn a lot of things, such as illusionist magic, which turns out to be quite handy to survive in this maze of streets: in the Cat Quarter, we have thugs of all kinds that are best avoided. But we also have good people, goodhearted “gwaks”, as we say around here. Little did I know that I would soon be caught up in an infamous traffic that would entangle my life even more. With a mix of lighthearted adventure and picaresque, this story narrates the hectic life of a good-spirited street child and his companions in a medieval urban fantasy setting with some nineteenth-century influences. Updates Mondays and Fridays. This is a Creative Commons By work. It is a translation of a trilogy I wrote in Spanish between 2017 and 2018.
