Ryan's P.O.V

The rear of the truck's engine sounded behind me.

I dropped the log I was carrying and brushed my hands onto my shorts I had borrowed from one of the girls.

The truck stopped and cut off, the older members jumping out.

"Alright, I need some people to get the table saw and any other supplies they grabbed.", I said, pointing to the truck.

I walked over to Edith.

"How did it go?", I asked.

"There was an Alpha also shopping but he didn't recognize us or our wolves. We grabbed a month worth of food.

We also got some more axes and chainsaws. I thought it would be a good idea to get some gas cans and fill them up. We have about 20 of them filled up, the big ones.", Edith informed me.

I smiled, thankful for her.

Pulling her into a hug, Edith tensed up before she relaxed, hugging me back.

I pulled away.

"Let's get this built. The hospital is just going to be temporary until we become an official pack. After that, we'll get all the help we need!", I yelled.

The rogues yelled back their agreement.

I picked up the log I dropped, hoisting onto my shoulder. Turning back to Edith, I smiled warmly.

"Just take the groceries in and organize them in the pantry and refrigerator. Thank you guys so much.", I said.

Edith smiled back and gave a nod before grabbing a bag of groceries.

I walked over to the pile of logs that had already formed and dropped in the one I had.

"Rob, Chris, Everett, and Dean. I want you guys getting all this wood cut up into planks. Cut the logs in half and then using the table saw, cut that half in half. Then use the table saw again to cut it into planks.", I instructed.

They nodded, 2 of then grabbing the first log and setting it by itself.

I walked over to the supply shed that was basically a house and opened the doors.

I took in the bags of cement, the cement mixer, paint, nail guns, and a bunch of other stuff.

Grabbing a few cement bags, I carried them out and tossed them into a pile. I moved onto the nail guns, grabbing all of them and passing them out.

Let's get started for real.

I stared at the base of our hospital, breathing heavily.

Sweat dripped from my face and onto my chest as I grinned.

Taking a glance at my watch, I realized that it was lunchtime.

"Let's go eat guys.", I said, making a move to go inside.

Edith slammed open the door, walking out with a plate of sandwiches.

A man followed her, arms full of bottles of water.

"No need, Alpha Halifax.", Edith said.

I shook my head. "Don't worry about the Alpha thing. At least not until we become an official pack.", I said.

Edith nodded. "Well then, Ryan, we have turkey sandwiches and ham sandwiches. Take your pick.", she said.

I grabbed a turkey sandwich and took a bite, moaning.

"Who made this?", I asked.

"Some of the others did. They wanted to make you proud and prove to you that they are useful.", Edith replied.

"They don't have to prove anything. Tell them that I'm thankful for them just supporting us.", I said.

Edith nodded and went back in. The sandwiches were all gone now and the rogues were now sipping on their water bottles.

"The hospital will only be one story and it'll be cramped. But, beggars can't be choosers.", I said.

Mumbles of agreement rang out.

"Let's get started again.", I said, clapping my hands.

Picking up the nail gun, 2 rogues held the board up while I put the nails into it.

We did this with every single homemade plank.

We were on the last plank for the sides of the hospital when it happened.

As I brought the nail gun up, I spoke and looked away.

"We got the sides finished with no incidents. I'm surprised.", I said.

I spoke too soon.

A yelp of pain struck my ear and I turned, noticing the nail.

Stuck in a rogue's hand.

"Oh shit.", I said.

I pulled his hand, the nail sliding through it.

I took off the tank top I wore, leaving me in my sports bra.

I pressed the tank top to both sides of his hands.

"I'm so sorry. I should've been paying attention.", I said with a small whine.

"It's fine. It's already healing.", the rogue said, wincing slightly.

I pulled away the tank top, seeing the wound already healed.

I sighed and dropped my hands.

Well, at least he's fine.

"Let's get the roof built.", I sighed.
