Ezra looked over the canyon, it wasn't much but it was theirs, he joined the Ryloth Freedom Movement after fleeing from the rebel base to avoid being charged with a terrorist attack, organizing a riot, and associating with a dark order who's intentions weren't based upon rebel associations. Ezra stood as Numa came up from behind him and stood with him, looking over the canyon as the sun went down over Ryloth "beautiful isn't it?" Ezra turned "it sure is. I'm so glad to be here" "don't sweat it, after what you've done for us, my father calls you his son" Ezra chuckled this is funny thought Ezra I have a twi'lek who wants to be my father and this woman beside me is my sister in a manner of things. Ezra looked at Numa "when i was captured and placed in the metal container, why was i there?" "it was a metal crusher used to cube materials to make them easier to melt" "someone put me and my friend in there" Numa looked at him with an eyebrow raised "you didn't act like she was just some friend. Friends don't usually carry one another out of a metal crusher, with a six inch gash on their chest, and are careful not to wake them up" Ezra blushed, Numa looked at Ezra and opened her mouth wide, gasping "OH MY GOSH! you have feelings for that little Mandalorian don't you?" Ezra's face turned blood red "yes but that's not what matters. What I want to know is why I was there" "she was really pretty. If you like her so much why did you leave her?" Ezra turned to face Numa "I didn't really have a choice" "we all have a choice Ezra. Which one did you make?" "I chose to leave because I comitted a crime by placing a bomb in the facility calling up soldiers and STARTING A RIOT SO MY FRIEND COULD SNEAK HER NEWBORN BABY INTO THE BASE WHERE THEY WOULDN'T ALLOW IT AND I PULLED THE WRONG DAMN STRAW!" Numa looked at Ezra "sounds to me that you are one of the bravest men I know" "that's exactly what my friend said before I walked onto a Zann Consortium ship and flew to Ryloth to face hordes of imperials for a two weeks so far" "I'm very thankful for your help Ezra. Your like the brother I never had" at this, Numa turned away to socialize with the other partisans, while Ezra stood alone.
Sabine wondered where Ezra was, until she remembered that Ezra said he had strong ties with the Ryloth Freedom Movement the night before he disappeared, she bet five credits with Zeb that's where he was. She took off in the phantom with intentions to kick Ezra's ass when she found him, he didn't even say goodbye when he left, and now he was going to pay for it, she didn't like being left out, especially by someone so dear to her.
Ezra had seen too much on Ryloth, the battles had reduced troop morale to nothing, that was until Ezra came. Ezra was often seen performing heroic acts, such as deflecting shots with his body, standing his ground when nobody else would, carrying people twice his size off the battlefield, and the list goes on and on. Many people tried to be more like Ezra, they did more heroic actions and helped boost one another's morale, they told jokes and laughed more often they were more friendly to one another. Ezra remembered when he got his first handprint, Ezra was standing his ground against a horde of imperials, when a sniper about eight years old was shot at by a stormtrooper Ezra jumped in front of the girl and deflected the blast with his armor. Right after that the twi'leks began to retreat slowly, Ezra never heard the order, and stood his ground like his life depended on it (and it did) Ezra blocked shot after shot, grenade after grenade, and when the stormtroopers got to close, Ezra switched to the pistol and fired till they got back where they belonged, the twi'leks watched this, the first to come up was the girl he saved. She propped her sniper on her leg while crouching and fired upon the imperials, next was an elderly sniper. He propped his sniper on Ezra's shoulder and shot at the imperials, next was Numa, she came up behind Ezra and shot from over his left shoulder using her pistol, and the last one was a good soldier friend of Ezra's who went in the prone position and fired from between Ezra's legs. Using Ezra as a shield barrier, they were able to kill enough imperials to force them to retreat. Afterwards, Ezra was walking through the base when Numa's father came up to him with orange coloring on his hand, he then planted his hand on Ezra's chest, leaving an orange stain on Ezra's white shirt. Ezra later went to Numa who said "I see my father has given you the mark of courage" Ezra looked down at his shirt so that's what it meant! thought Ezra as he went to sleep easily that night and would always remember the shirt with his mark of courage.

A ship landed at the base, when a figure wearing a dark brown robe stepped out and started a conversation with the deacon at the bottom of the watchtower, the deacon seemed pleased with what she said and allowed him/her to move through the gates and into the compound. Now Ezra was interested, he ran down the canyon walkway and towards the compound, Ezra was able to meet the person face to face with Numa, Numa began "how are you sir?" the person looked at Numa "ma'am" Numa then, squinted an eye "excuse me?" Sabine then through back the hood to reveal her face and head. Ezra was mesmerized, Sabine had just colored her hair orange (probably for him) and carried no weapons, this time Ezra stared at her "what? never seen a pretty girl before?" Numa's eyes widened and laughed so hard that someone had to come over and rub her back to get her to clam down a enough to breath. Sabine kept her cool and walked past Ezra, bumping him in the shoulder, she went towards the bar and looked over the counter for just barley a second before making a selection, as if she had lived there all of her life. The tender (who knew Ezra well) looked up at him, Ezra snapped his finger twice and pointed down towards Sabine, Ezra had created codes with the bartender and was always ready for anything. Ezra's signal meant two of the same drinks in the same place, and this is exactly what the bartender followed, but not before a rowdy twi'lek that was about 20 sat beside Sabine and attempted to flirt with her, Ezra knew how this would end, yet... it didn't, Sabine flirted back the young man wasn't lying on a broken bar, he wasn't writhing in pain holding his crotch, and he still had all of his teeth. Ezra didn't understand the mind of a woman, but he understood Sabine well enough to know... this was because of him, because he left, because he didn't say goodbye, and how he didn't even leave behind a note. Ezra walked away towards his tent, where he gathered some supplies and pitched a tent for Sabine, Ezra finished the tent right as Sabine walked out of the stronghold and towards the campground, she surveyed it for a minute or two and then turned to face Ezra "nice job on the tent" she then walked towards Ezra's tent (which was now more like a hut because he had time to build), but Ezra already planned for this and moved his possessions to "Sabine's" tent, and walked right back to his hut to speak to Sabine. Ezra stood in the doorway "Ezra. This isn't working" "what isn't working?" "the thing you and I had going, you haven't been very honest with me" "wellll, I mean what do you think we had going exactly?" "I don't know, something special" "like what Sabine?" "ahhhh" "you're being rather evasive in calling me a boyfriend" Sabine smiled "boyfriend? what are you talking about? you were just another one of my weekend lovers" "but it's already been two weekends pass" "then it makes up for any other time" "so you don't love me?" Sabine choked up "we're too young to know what love really is" "it's not something that any one kiss can tell you, and is worth more than gold" "Ezra STOP" "it's something that you feel in you're heart, and you feel it in your soul, how do you feel love Sabine?" "EZRA!... that's ENOUGH!" it was Ezra's turn to choke up now "you can't handle the (choke) truth Sabine (breathes heavily) can you?" Sabine turned away from him and put both hands to her face, when she turned around, Ezra was gone "Ezra?" Ezra appeared right behind her "i could have left you just like that, but every time i wanted to walk away, every damn time that i suffered, every single day that i woke up on a battlefield after i fought long and hard, every single DAMN TIME!" Ezra breathed in hard and dried the tears from his eyes, "but you were there, and i loved you, just the same as i love you now, don't make a heart break just because it's fun to put it back together again" Sabine was full on crying now, and she turned away from Ezra, this time Ezra left for real, and sobbed the whole way to his tent.

Sabine was still awake in the middle of the night, when she saw Ezra's blaster lying on the ground of his hut, and reached for it. Sabine had always liked Ezra's taste with weapons, especially pistols, she admired the weapon and the wookie-wood handle that was adorned with special carvings on it that Ezra had made himself, Sabine looked at the weapon for the longest time, until the bottom of the handle began to screw off, Sabine was curious about what was inside, she knew it wasn't her business to look through his personal effects, but she just couldn't help herself and popped it off anyway. She opened it to find rolled up pieces of paper as she unrolled them, she gasped in amazement they were drawings of her, beautiful drawings, they were of random things like her sleeping, or sitting in a chair, sitting in a field, and of her painting, they carried her likeness very well, and on the back of each was a carefully constructed poem, not the kind of poem that rhymes pain with rain, but the kind the uses definitions and would require a very good vocabulary, Sabine almost cried, when suddenly, a shirtless Ezra ran into the hut with lightsaber at hand, and slashed at Sabine, just barely missing her. She looked at the ground to find a large bug completely pulverized by the lightsaber cut. Sabine looked up at Ezra "thanks" was all she could mutter after coming just barely an inch from losing a limb Ezra nodded and turned to leave, when she saw Sabine's arms were tightly crossed on her chest, Ezra looked at him "Sabine? what's that in your arms?" Sabine mustered up her only excuse possible "uhhh can't show you i'm naked" Ezra kneeled down and looked at Sabine, she then opened her arms to show Ezra the poems and pictures he had made. Tears burst into Ezra's eyes, as he stooped to pick them up off the ground, the tears fell from his cheeks and wetted the papers, Ezra looked at Sabine "still don't believe me huh?" Sabine's heart dive-bombed to the floor and hit hard. The emotions she felt were undescribable, she lunged at Ezra while he stood up to leave and cried on his chest. Ezra followed suit , he cried on Sabine's head while he stroked her hair "i'm so sorry Ezra" "no Sabine, i'm the one who should be sorry, i humiliated you and made you feel worthless" "the thing is that (choke) that, that's how i know that i love you, nobody except you can actually get to me and make me feel bad, it's scary that I can love someone so much that their actions can destroy my emotions" Ezra brought Sabine to the floor and laid her on the makeshift bed, and wrapped her up "we'll go home first thing in the morning, okay Sabine?" "okay" Sabine yawned and curled up on the bed "it's so cold on Ryloth Ezra" Ezra turned around and laid everything he had on the floor, and sat down at the head of the bed, Ezra laid Sabine's head in his lap and stroked her hair "goodnight Ezra" "goodnight Sabine" about five whole seconds passed before Sabine asked this "Ezra? will please read me one of your poems?" Ezra shuddered "please?" Sabine was begging, Ezra didn't like it when Sabine begged. it made him feel bad. Ezra relented, and bent down to pick up his rolls of poems, and began to read them, as a mother reads stories to her children, with peace, love, and good intentions.

Protagonist: The Whims of Gods
Book one now also on Amazon! After quitting her job as a therapist and grabbing some work at a dog shelter, Tess's life became pretty slow. A tad boring, even. It thus came as no small surprise when she was chosen by a god. Thrust into a new world where magic, monsters, and character levels are suddenly a reality, Tess will quickly find that just surviving can be a challenge. It doesn't help that dark forces are stirring, she's woefully underpowered, and that spiders keep trying to claw her face off. One thing's for certain, though: The possibilities are endless. Will she end up wrestling a dragon? Becoming an arch-mage? Opening a quaint, bookstore, coffee shop, and wine bar for elves? The choice is hers... As long as she can live long enough to make it. Protagonist is a fairly classic LitRPG novel with character levels, classes, stats, settlements, and other LitRPG elements. Unlike a lot of LitRPG stories, while the protagonist has some perks, she doesn't start off overpowered. You can expect to see her struggle as she advances. This novel also takes the opportunity to explore some less frequently seen builds, shying away from any min-maxing. Chapters are about ~2000-3000 words and are released at 8:00am ET every other day.

Transmigration Retiree
"What's that you say? I can never leave this reality ever? Good!" Ed, was a normal man in a world full of superheroes, so he didn't really have too many complaints when that first truck fell on him. After all he'd read enough comics to know that sometimes things just happen. Besides he'd been getting on in years when it happened, and his life till then, though lonely, had more or less been fully lived. The second time around when that one guy pushed him off a cliff for a chalice of immortal ambrosia, wasn't so cool though, and then there was that third time when he was just getting used to life as a lady, and that crazy goddess showed up out of nowhere and started ranting about purging the demon menace....then some other stuff happened and he briefly got to go back to earth before falling into a coma where he adventured in the world of dreams. Then the aliens came, and the dream ended and he was suddenly stuck being the AI Overmind for the whole damn star systm. The aliens died, and because he was all mechanical and what-not he just kind of had to keep on going. Forced to continue collecting the materials and data from countless worlds that were destoryed in the process. Then there was that whole war with the gods business that followed...mostly because of all that world destroying he did because of some fairly faulty programming. Anyway, thankfully someone pulled a "rocks fall" on that whole curfuffle, because by the time he was in control of himself again, things had long gotten out of hand. Now the powers-that-be tell him that he must spend the rest of his existence in single lonely section of the cosmos. Trapped in a single portion of a single universe. And now he weeps...No worries though, these are tears of joy. Hopefully this final unending existence he's been given will be the quiet life he's been looking for. A Man who's seen everything gets abducted by aliens and is converted into an AI that sits at the helm of a fleet of alien ships and behind the computer systems for most their planets. This Alien AI goes to war with the gods and ends up nearly destroying an entire reality. The Angels condemn the troublemaking AI to life as normal child on a far off world....All truth said, the "AI" couldn't be happier. His life's been far too interesting(read: Scary, Inconvenient and Painful) in his opinion and he could do with a bit of normalcy.
