《Fragile Minds ━━ C. DANVERS ✓》one.

Poppy lived in a world where women weren't necessarily allowed to do all of the same things that men were able to, but she wanted to break boundaries. She wanted to go against all of the social norms and she wanted to be able to show people that women were going to be able to do all of the same things that men were. Poppy wanted to join the military, even when all of those around her told her that she was never going to be able to do the same things that men were going to do. That she wasn't going to be able to join the Air Force and she wasn't going to be able to be a fighter pilot as she wanted to be.
But she wasn't going to listen to any of them as she grew up alongside her best friend, Carol Danvers. The two of them had the same mindset as they thought about everything that they wanted to do and that was what they were going to do. They went through everything together as they went through Basic Training and became part of the Air Force. The two of them, along with their best friend Maria Rambeau, broke boundaries and joined alongside a woman by the name of Wendy Lawson, who was the head of Project P.E.G.A.S.U.S.
Not everyone knew what the project was, and Carol and Poppy were two of the people who had no idea what it was other than about Wendy doing some work with a power source that she was placing in her fighter planes. Poppy was always curious about what it was that was going on with them and she wanted to be able to help Wendy with whatever it was that was going on in the world of the Air Force. And she liked working with Wendy because of the fact that she told her that she was part of something bigger, something better. And that was all that mattered to her.

One day, Wendy decided to go through with a test, that was unauthorized to the knowledge of Carol and Poppy. But the two women were more than willing to help Wendy with everything that had to do with Project P.E.G.A.S.U.S., and that was why the two of them went along with Wendy into space during their test. Carol flew Wendy, while Poppy followed after them with her own fighter plane, which had a special engine that Wendy called the Light-Speed Engine. Poppy didn't know how to explain it other than the fact that it was extraordinary and she was glad that she was able to pilot it.
The woman could hear Carol and Wendy speaking with each other as they flew through space and she couldn't help but chuckle as she listened to some of the things that Carol said, and she joked around with her. At first, they thought that the test was going well, that was until an alien spaceship began to approach them and open fire. Poppy was quick to yell at Carol and Wendy and told them about what it was that was going on around them.
And that was when they were thrown into a chase.
The two women piloted their jets as they attempted to get rid of the alien that was chasing after them, firing at them and tried to shoot them down. Poppy glanced around herself as she flew after Carol and the alien, firing at the alien ship as they fired at them. Carol yelled at her to get the alien off of them, and that was something that Poppy was attempting to do her very best to do. She did whatever it was that she could to protect Wendy and Carol, and as she followed them back into the Earth's atmosphere, she could tell that the ship was going to go down.

Her eyes widened as she watched the alien ship fire at Carol's ship, and before she could do anything else, she could feel the turbulence that shook through her ship as she was hit by the alien. A gasp left her lips as her fighter jet began to go down and she could hear Carol's voice through her headset as her ship crashed through trees and then into the dirt below them.
Poppy didn't know what it was that was going on as she came to a few moments later, blood streaming down her temples as she glanced around herself, and when she glanced out of the plane, she found that Carol was pulling Wendy out of the plane. She let out a sigh of relief as she saw the two of them alive, and that was when she watched some strange energy source shoot through Wendy, killing her.
Her eyes widened as she pushed herself out of her plane and she took out her gun, making her way over toward Carol, and the alien that began to approach them. But before she could've done anything to fight back against the figure who shot them down, Carol fired against the Light-Speed Engine, and the energy source from the engine threw the two of them back. Poppy screamed in agony as the power source began to absorb into her skin and she could feel hot tears streaming down her cheek, and as she laid on the dirt below her, she didn't know what was going to happen to her.
But when she woke, she would discover that Carol Danvers was missing and that she was given an ability that she never wanted. Though her life was forever changed, she didn't know how she was going to get through it all on her own.
And that scared the shit out of her.

Respec Ted
Ted is transported away from Earth and arrives in unknown lands, the world has been gamified with magic abilities, levels and a passive skill tree the size of a galaxy. When Ted gets the choices for his Class he gets overwhelmed with the possibilities. It started out mild; Knight, Wizard, Thief.. pretty generic archetypes took the space infront of him first, but got quickly covered by more class choices that popped up: Farmer, Lecturer, Necromancer, Vampire, Politician, Brute, Cyborg, Bounty Hunter.. it just kept going. There was no way Ted would look through them all, but he felt the importance of the choice he was about to make and hesitated. Then he noticed a blank choice with the sole word "Respec" on it. Ridiculous, he had not even made a class choice yet and there was a respec button on the ui, it did not make sense and he pressed it out of curiousity. "YOU HAVE CHOSEN THE RESPECIALIZATION CLASS".

A Fate Shaped by Magick
This fiction was (and is) published on fanfiction dot net under the same title; though as I slowly transfer it to here, I am editing and smoothing it. This story takes place in the Elder Scrolls (TES) Universe mostly ending up in Morrowind. This is a slice of life meant to answer the questions of how (in the TES universe) do mages study and learn, and exploring some of the in-game differences between TES 2 and 3. This book has minimal spoilers for the Morrowind main quest and does not fully explore it. If you think that giant insects would make cool pets - if you like the idea of exploring magic NOT intended simply as killing something better, faster or more gore-ridden, then come on in and enjoy.
