"God dammit" you said, clicking the backspace bar on your laptop, raging. You lay on your bed.
"Cmon, (y/n), cheer up!" Kaia sat cross legged next to the laptop.
Two months have passed since you were told you were having twins. Now, your stomach hadn't grown a lot, just a bit. But you could still tell that you were an expectant mother. Now that taxes and rent fees have come around, you were more pissed and upset as ever. You wore a white tank top and black sweats. Hair down, except for your bandana keeping up your bangs.
"Too many numberssss" you whined, tossing over, letting your hands flop to your sides. Your bed was covered in paper work and cheques.
"Let me do some." Kaia offered, turning the laptop towards her and clicking the letters.
"I'm gonna go broke," you whined "I even have to pay for all the towns and villages that Gajeel destroyed."
"WHOA!" Kaia shouted. "That is a lot of jewel!"
"Point proven." You muttered.
You went to the kitchen to get some water. You took two bottles of water and tossed one to Kaia. She caught it, and quickly opened the cap and drank half the bottle. You jumped back onto the bed.
"Jesus Christ," you said, watching Laia chug down almost all the water.
"You're looking at me? You should see yourself with those barrels!" Kaia said, redirecting her focus to the computer.
"Ugh, no fair. I can't even go on jobs anymore. Why?" You said "Oh, because 'I need to be careful and not stress my self'" you said, mocking Gajeel.
"Gajeel's just looking out for you." Kaia said.
"He pisses me off!" You shouted.
"And that's what's special about you two. No matter how much you beat each other up, you still love each other." Kaia sweatdropped and smiled sheepishly.

"I'm home!" Gajeel shouted, opening the door. Pantherlily followed behind.
"Speak of the devil." Kaia chirped, summoning her wings and flying to the kitchen.
"Hey Kaia," Lily greeted.
"How's (y/n)?" Gajeel asked.
"Pissed. She's pissed." Kaia said, smiling.
"IM DONE WITH THESE TAXES! GAJEEL CAN PAY FOR HIS OWN DAMAGE!" You shouted.
Gajeel, Lily, and Kaia sweatdropped, all hearing your rage.
"Glad she's doing alright." Gajeel chuckled, thinking about how typical it was of you to throw useless tantrums.
You walked into the kitchen and used the counter as an elbow rest.
"I wanna go and beat up some Vulcans." You sighed.
"In a few months, we can beat up as many Vulcans as you'd like. For now, you aren't using any magic." Gajeel said.
"God," you sighed "I need a drink," you turned around, opening the 'alcohol' cabinet in your kitchen. Gajeel ran over to the cabinet and closed it. You looked at him.
"What have we said about drinking?" Gajeel said.
"Can't I just have one beer?" You groaned.
"Nope."
"Why not?"
"I don't want my children to be alcoholics! I tell you that every time!" Gajeel growled.
"But they're my children too! They can drink as much as they want as long as they're older than 18!" You argued.
Suddenly, your door disintegrated into thousands of tiny blocks.
"Huh?" You and Gajeel turned your attention to all the commotion.
"Ooh yea baby!" You heard in the distance. Lily and Kaia took off and looked through the window.
"You have company," Lily said.
Gildarts bursted through the door. You and Gajeel stared and blinked quickly.
"IM GUNNA BE AN UNCLE! YOWZA!" Gildarts chuckled. Loudly.
"Great another door to add to my expenses" you muttered, unamused.

"Yo! (Y/n)!" Gildarts walked over to you.
"When'd you come back?" You asked.
"A few hours ago." He said, pulling you into a tight hug. "Congrats!"
"Yea," you choked "thanks. Mind letting me go?"
"Oh," Gildarts let you go "sure"
Gildarts' vision went straight to Gajeel's direction. He gave Gajeel a glare. Gajeel felt a shiver go down his spine.
"You..." Gildarts glared. "I need to tell you something."
Gajeel leaned back a bit. Gildarts grabbed the collar of his t-shirt.
"I'm worried about you as a dad." Gildarts deepened his glare. "Also, how gentle were you with (y/n)? You're helping around the house, aren't you? You're not being a usual pain in the ass, are you?.." Gildarts bombarded Gajeel with questions. You wrapped your arms around Gildarts' torso and tried yanking him off your husband.
"Gildarts! Calm yourself!" You shouted, successful on getting him off Gajeel.
"Ok, I'm just looking out for you." Gildarts said. You felt infuriated.
"I think Gajeel's done enough of that," Kaia sweatdropped.
•
"I'm so bored." You whimpered. "I'm going to the guild."
"Ok, but put something on first, it's chilly." Gajeel said.
"Ok," you said, heading to your room. You opened the closet and took out your trustee black hoodie. You tried putting it on. Key word; tried. It was to short.
"DAMMIT!" You shouted.
Gajeel went to see what was going on.
"What's wrong?" He asked.
"My sweater doesn't fit, jackass!" You shouted.
"Jeez! Just take mine!" Gajeel took a sweater off the hooks. It was a black zip-up sweater. You honestly didn't even know Gajeel had that. You put it on and zipped it up. It was a little big, but the sleeves were really long.
"Ooh, cozy." You said, admiring the warmth that Gajeel's sweater have you. It even smelled like Gajeel's cologne.
You and Gajeel walked through Magnolia, towards the guild. You had your arms crossed, and snuggled up. You looked as snug as a bug in a rug.
"We should really start thinking about the nursery," Gajeel brought up.
"After I'm done dealing with your damage fees. I'm not using any more money." You said.
"But your a few months away from delivery..."
"Yea, but I'm a day away from being broke!"
"I'll go on another job if you're so needy!"
"Maybe, if both me and you went on a job, we'll get paid more!"
"But you can't go on jobs!"
How would you know?!" And thus, another pointless argument was born.
You both walked into the guild hall arguing about nonsense. Erza looked at you both. Yes, she was jealous of your relationship with Gajeel.
"It's really sad, how they always fight. They can never agree on anything." Lucy sweatdropped.
"Yes, they do fight a lot. But, I really long for a relationship like that. They can bicker for days on count and still live each other to bits." Erza said, smiling at the scene.

Like having a human servant in this corporate owned world, using couriers is seen as a status symbol for the wealthy and corporate elite. New York's criminal underground uses couriers for similar reasons. This gives the hundreds of couriers in NYC steady work. After weeks of not finding a job while living with her aunt and cousin, Zoe turns to her slicing skills to steal credits from the Purity Church and turns to the mob so she can get a loan to pay for the internal secure storage space a courier needs and a frame for herself. After making an unlicensed run or two, Zoe finds employment with a transport company and truly starts her life as a courier. This story is a mix of light scifi, cyberpunk, slice of life, a dash of action, and a smidge of fantasy. Slicing is what hacking is called in this story. Credits are currency in this story.
