Lay follows her out onto the grand foyer, gasping at the sight of the familiar room restored to its former glory.

"Grandma, so you're letting me stay?"

"We never get any visitors anymore, it would be nice to have your company."

"Thank you." saying so, Lay looks around.

"How many years have you been here?"

"11 years."

"That's pretty long."

The old woman traills off, turning away from Lay to continue down the staircase.

"Well, let's not talk about that." says she.

Just then, lay hears a sudden crash from somewhere downstairs.

"What was that?" Lay exclaims with wonder.

The old woman looks pained for a moment, then her expression resolves into a tired smile.

"Nothing you need to worry about."

"..Well if you say so. But can I meet Yusi?"

"Yes, but there's something you should know."

"What?"

"Unlike myself and Sulli, Yusi isn't aware that she's- not a normal human."

"Why haven't you told her?"

"Because she thinks this is another life, and her brother is returning soon. It's that little hope that keeps her happy."

"But-"

"Ignorance is bliss, Lay. I would never take that away from her."

"Alright. I won't talk about this with her either. I promise."

"I'll introduce you as Sulli's brother. They're at the parlor. Follow me."

"Wait, but who is Sulli?"

"Another person trapped in here like us. Although she's new here. She has been with us for 1 year only."

"Ah, I see. Lead the way, Grandma."

The old woman leads Lay downstairs to the parlor, where Yusi and Sulli sit expectantly.

Lay recognizes Yusi, the girl from a few hours back, and she averts her eyes when Lay meets her gaze.

"Yusi he is-"

"I know who he is! That odd guy who entered our house at midnight!"

"Yusi don't be so rude!" says the young girl beside her, supposedly named Sulli. "can we talk?" she asks looking at the old woman.

The old woman, aka Mrs. Oh, replies with a short nod signaling her to meet outside. And they both leave the place.

Yusi narrows her eyes suspiciously at Lay.

"Who are you, exactly?" she asks.

"I am Lay Zhang, Sulli's brother. I'm willing to be friends with you."

Yusi looks outraged.

"Hey, can't you give me a chance? Maybe we'll be bestfriends. You never know."

Yusi looks bashfully at the floor.

"I'm sorry Mr. Zhang." saying so, Yusi stretches out her hand for a hand shake. "Forgive my coarse manners a few moments ago. So that we can become friends.".

Lay accepts the hand shake, saying, "I can't wait to get along."

A short while later, Mrs. Oh and Sulli is back with a cup of hot cider for Yusi. She accepts it with a smile and looks at Mrs. Oh.

"Why we keep eating the same food again and again? I'm getting tired of the hot cider. Did you mention to buy cocoa in the letter you sent to brother?"

Mrs. Oh turns her face away, her eyes suddenly sad.

"Who is your brother and where is he?" Lay asks.
