CHAPTER 2

As they were running, again the memories of the maze and the desert (+ the cranks) came back, which was still weird but didn't bother Thomas that much. What did bother him was the Minho thing. Why did he get so excited when Thomas said he loved him?

I mean yeah they were best friends, Thomas loved Minho just like Minho loved Newt, as a friend nothing more nothing less. "Minho feels the same way I bet." Thought Thomas, "he just got excited to mess with me, yeah that's it."

Thomas noticed that he had started to fall behind. Determined not to let Minho run in front of him, Thomas speed up so that he was running in sync with Minho.

Minho seemed to be back to normal Thomas noted, while Minho threw more and more teasing jokes at Thomas. "Oh slowing down now? Gettin tired huh?" "Ohhhhh don't let your keeper pass you! That won't look good on your resume!" "We might just need to put you back into that maze, those grievers will whoop you back into shape."

Thomas ignored Minho though, his thoughts drifting back to his flashbacks from his morning. "Why me? Why not someone else?" Thomas wondered aloud.

"Huh?" Minho asked, after being knocked out of his teasing rant by Thomas's wondering.

"oh...OH! Nothing, nothing at all!. Nothing, nada, nope." Thomas said frantically, not wanting Minho to find out his biggest secret.

"You sure it's nothing?" Minho double checked.

"Y.....yeah,nothing" Thomas nodded.

"I don't believe you, we'll talk about this later. Okay?"

Knowing that he couldn't avoid Minho's demand, Thomas just accepted it.

"Okay" he mumbled glumly.

His only hope was that Minho would forget, but he highly doubted that he would. If Minho could memorize maze patterns and still remember them, Thomas was almost positive that Minho would remember.

"Good that" Minho said cheerfully.

"Easy for you to say." Thomas couldn't help it, the words just slipped out.

" What?"

"Nothing."

"I'll ask you again, what?"

" oh my gosh for the love of god.... NOTHING!"

"Okay, okay, god just checking."

Thomas felt a little guilty by the look on Minho's face, he should have just kept his mouth shut, because this will not end well for Thomas.....
