"choi family? you're allowed to follow me in, now." all five figures stood up excitedly. walking to the place was not so quiet as they should've been.

"haneul! stop jumping!" hissed seungcheol. "darling, please. for the baby." jeonghan whispered.

you read that right. a baby. through the help of technology, jeonghan and seungcheol's own genes were combined together to produce a baby.

"sorry, pops. i'm just excited. i'm not the youngest anymore." haneul muttered. "calm it, shortie." hanbin called out from the couch in the corner. they were in the neonatal intensive care unit's waiting room, nicu for short.

"i'm not that short!" haneul whined. "both of you, shut it. bad enough i already have to deal with you two." hani scolded. "sorry, noona." both boys apologized.

"this way, please," the nurse called, as they opened a door. there, behind a four or five feet long glass window, was a small baby. "it's a baby boy," the nurse told. "i'll leave now. careful not to wake him."

as soon as the nurse left, jeonghan's tears fell from his eyes. seungcheol hugged him in comfort, he too on the verge of tears. haneul settled himself in front of hanbin, who wrapped his arms around him. despite the both boys being mean to each other for, probably ever, they loved each other.

hani fought the urge to snap a picture. "he's so pretty," jeonghan sobbed into seungcheol's shoulder. "he's as pretty as you, dear." his husband said in response. "he's an angel like you, papa," hani whispered.

seungcheol broke at that statement, sniffles coming from him. soon, a nurse appeared behind the window, tapping it once, and twice. she beckoned them in, well only jeonghan and seungcheol.

"hello, mr. choi and mr. yoon. this is your healthy baby boy. he weighs six pounds and twelve ounces. so... what will you name him?" the nurse asked. "hayun. choi hayun." jeonghan responded. "alright, noted. you can bring him home today, give me a few minutes to bring your paperwork back." and the nurse left.

seungcheol detached himself from jeonghan and picked the small baby up. he gently walked back over to jeonghan and placed small, baby hayun into his arms. "thank you, seungcheol."

"he's really..." jeonghan choked on his words. "pretty, right? like his papa." seungcheol softly muttered. "no, that's... that's your genes, dear." jeonghan responded. "well, it's both of ours, then."

there, under the dimly lit light, the two parents, for the fourth time, kissed very softly. they stopped after hearing a small whine from hayun. jeonghan rocked hayun around and lulled him to sleep.
