katniss' s pov:

I yawn and wake up to the familiar sound of my alarm. I groan. New school. We just moved here. When I don't get out of bed, my little sister, Prim, comes running in.

"katniss! Wake up! I can't be late on the first day of my new school!" she yells in my ear. "ok little duck.... I'm coming" I say and drag myself out of bed. I shower and get dressed. Im not planning on impressing anyone one today, so I simply put on black flats, dark skinny jeans, and a light grey baggy sweater. Like always, I put my hair in a braid that softly falls over my shoulder. I grab my bag and run downstairs, glancing at my mother before walking out the door to my moms car. Prim follows. "you look pretty little duck" I smile as we get in. I drop her off at her middle school. When I pull into Pahnem high, I gulp. This is a really big school. I quickly walk out of the car and across campess, avoiding all eyes. Maths first. That's not so bad, the problem is finding the class. Number 201. I follow the numbers till I find it. I walk in. Noticing only two other people are in here, I take a seat and plug in my ear buds.

I'm woken up to someone annoyingly tapping my shoulder. I unplug my ear buds and look up at the blonde girl. "um, hi?" I ask her. "That's my seat you idiot" she says rudely. "oh, sorry" I mutter and stand up. I walk to the only other seat and sit down. I feel something else tap my shoulder. "what!" I turn around. I come face to face with a blonde haired, blue eyed boy.
