After that incident, Taehyung refused to stay in that place.
So he moved away, not only from their mansion but from the Vampire World itself along with his brother Jaehyun who was only a kid then.
He bought a house in Seoul and stayed there with his brother for a few years until he grew up.
That was when the brothers met two girls who lived next door.
Jisoo and You
⊹─◂▸★◂▸─⊹
Vernon had escaped to the Human World apparently thinking that Taehyung would never be able to find him.
Though Vernon was content of escaping from Taehyung's eyes, he had no idea that someone else built up a grudge against him wanting to take revenge so badly.

"I miss you so much," A single tear ran down her cheek as she placed a bouquet of flowers on Jihyo's grave.
She stood up walking away from the cemetery wiping away the tear. Although so many years have passed by, Tzuyu couldn't forgive him for what he did.
Just then she received a message from her old friend telling that she saw Vernon enrolling himself in the SNU, South Korea. Seeing this, she immediately prepared herself to visit the Human World.
A sinister grin crept onto her face thinking about the horrible ways she could kill him.
"I'm coming for you."
⊹─◂▸★◂▸─⊹
Stepping onto the world of humans, she promised herself that she'd return to her place once her task is over.
She entered the college campus while her eyes keenly looked for the only face she was expecting to see.
Just then, a very familiar head caught her attention, although he was facing his back, it felt like him. So increasing her pace, she began following him with full attention.
Without realizing, she harshly bumped into someone which made them fall back.

"Ahh shit," She got up groaning as she caught a glimpse of the guy who she bumped into when he helped her.
Once he disappeared into the crowd, she stood there in the middle of the corridor completely lost.
When she saw students filling the classrooms, she too found a classroom to get in just to avoid being questioned by the staff.
Lunch break came soon so she simply used the time to search for Vernon. When lunch break was about to end, I caught sight of his familiar head inside a classroom.
Students started filling the class so she walked into the same class taking a seat far behind. Using the entire day to spy on him, she took the chance to plot the murder skilfully.
The next day, she decided to drop a note in Vernon's locker to impliment my plan.
------------------------------------------------------------
I dare you to meet me at the library now.
~Your special someone
-------------------------------------------------------------
He would never know that this special someone is the last person he'll ever see.
Sliding the note through the slit of his locker secretly, she strided her way towards the library which was surprisingly empty.
Almost an hour had passed since she entered the library. Excitement and rage flushed into her when she heard someone walk in.
Expecting the only one she desired to see, she peeked from her book but instead was greeted with a feminine figure.
Within a few seconds, she got up to get another book to pass time until the bastard shows up.
She walks to a shelf to find the girl searching for something. Her eyes wavered around in confusion so Tzuyu decided to help.
"What are you looking for?"
She was startled by my sudden appearance but she replied.
"Black Magic but there are quite a few books with the same title."

"Hmm... you're looking for the original one?"
"I guess?"
"These are all the copies I guess. The original one must be somewhere here...." She said scanning the entire shelf.
"Ah! Here it is," She points to a book in the far corner which looked like the original spell book.
"Thanks. You are?"
"I'm Tzuyu," Guessing she is the first and last person she'll ever be introducing herself to, she was about to ask the girl for her name.
"And you--" She paused when she heard her phone beep from her pocket. It was a message from the Vampire World telling that they needed her soon.
Right then, a familiar scent hit her telling that he was approaching them.
Vernon is here!
"Sorry I gotta go," Tzuyu walked away in a hurry quietly hiding behind a shelf.
After a few minutes, they hear the door slam shut. Her eyes spot the most long awaited person who she wished to see.
She had to wait for a few minutes until he was left alone. Tzuyu pulled out the silver knife from her pocket ready to attack.
"Long time no see."
He turned to her and his face shrinked seeing the knife in her hand.
"Who are you? Why are you holding a knife?"
She only approached him with an evil smirk.
"That's just not fair" She made her way to him slowly.
He didn't dare to utter a word as his eyes focused only on the silver knife she held in hand.
"How can you live in peace after stripping away someone else's life?"
"Wait. Don't kill me."
"That's how she would've begged you too," The corner of her eyes glistened thinking of Jihyo.
"Die you bastard," Lunging forward, she pierced the silver knife right into his chest. Before he could scream, her other hand contracted around his neck.
Once there was no movement from him, she left the place through the window with satisfaction.
.
.
.
Only when she finished narrating, I was able to put together pieces of mystery of Vernon's death.
Knowing or unknowingly I had been surrounded by vampires from the moment I stepped into Seoul.
Though she didn't tell me anything about Vernon's death, I knew she was the one who killed him from the way her words reeked of hatred when she spoke about him.
If this girl was really capable of taking a life, then I might as well be cautious around her.

A Prose of Years
For decades, spiritualist Evert Kallstrom and his team have joined in humanity’s millennia-long fight against the beasts. Wielding their weapons and their ki, they fought and killed these great threats to civilization. And yet, despite their efforts, humanity was losing traction in the war. In the last fifty years alone, more cities had been overrun than in all of known history. While most thought the great beasts natural, a few knew the terrible truth. They were the product of a dark lord, who desired neither fame nor wealth nor power. Instead, his sole purpose was the genocide of humanity. While their peers dithered, a small faction of the strongest mankind had to offer—including Evert Kallstrom and his team—set out towards the Deadlands to find and confront this dark lord. After weeks of travel, twenty-one spiritualists found themselves approaching an ancient fortress wherein rested a being known only as the Eastern Guardian. All they found was death. But death has other plans for Evert. Evert bolts awake in his 16 year old body near his hometown, decades in the past. He is confused, poor and weak. But with grit, sweat, and years of experience, he won't let the future repeat itself. That level of strength won't be enough by itself (it wasn’t last time) and victory is hardly assured (he’ll need to reach farther and higher than he ever did), but Evert refuses to squander a second chance. [Other tags: First Person POV, Hard Magic, Faulty Memory] Volume 1 is complete and has been fully released. My current intention is not to write any sequel volumes. That said, I have also released appendices (SPOILERS) that cover the worldbuilding and future story-that-never-was. Comments suggesting fixes for grammar, misspellings, etc. appreciated. Note: If you came here from Candlelit Lives, these stories have nothing in common.
