NO POV
And so the battle was underway. Both inside and outside there were ghouls fighting humans. Still sitting on the rafters in the auditorium was Y/N. He was observing the fight between Juuzou and Ayato but even afterwards he was still there. The sound of running caught his attention. It was Urie and Mutsuki. They looked all around the room.
Urie: This place is giant, could have been hundreds of them.
Mutsuki: But where did they all go?
Urie then walked over to an area on the floor.
Urie: Found it.
He opened a trap door and revealed a set of stairs going down.
Urie: The basement, want to check it out?
Mutsuki tensed up.
Urie: Dont get anxious, if we find the enemy we'll come right back. We're just scouting the place.
Mutsuki nodded.
Urie(thought): Pushover.
The moment they disappeared from sight Y/N jumped down.
Y/N: Whelp, I guess it's time for me to step in. Cant just let all of those ghouls die.
And so Y/N went down there to, making sure that they cant detect him.
Y/N POV
When I got downstairs I made sure to keep myself out of sight. I saw both of the quinx along with Juuzou. They we talking but I couldn't hear them. Then both Urie and Juuzou leapt down, ready to kill. They charged at the ghouls so I decided to step in. I jumped high into the air and landed directly in front of Urie as he was about to stab a ghoul. Instead he stabbed me right in the chest. He along with everyone else was surprised. He took out his sword and jumped away. I turned to the Aogiri members.
Me: Get all of the ghouls out of here.
They were all snapped out of there thoughts as they began to lead the ghouls away. Leaving just me and the doves. They got ready to fight. Urie's left eye turned into that of a ghoul as his koukaku formed.

Urie: The Demon, an SSS rated ghoul. Most known for possessing a powerful kakuja that even stood against Arima.
Juuzou charged at me with nothing but anger on his mind. He started to throw his knives at me, each one I easily dodged. He then attacked me head on. I kicked him and he fell to the floor.
Me: I remember you, you're that kid that Shinohara gave his life for. How is he?
Juuzou growled at me and then charged again at me blindly.
Juuzou: I'LL KILL YOU!
I punched him in the face and he crashed right into a crate, breaking it. I then turned to Urie who was now attacking me. He swung both his koukaku and sword at me. I decided to mess with him and let him cut me a few times.
Urie: Your rating is a mistake.
Me: And your strength is a mistake, you possess nothing but an arrogant and greedy mind.
He grinded his teeth together as he looked at me with hatred. He charged at me once again so I decided to use his anger to me advantage. As he thrusted his koukaku at me, I ducked under and punched him hard in the gut. He spat out a lot of saliva and fell to the ground. I walked over to his body as I got ready to kill him.
Me: Die quinx.
Just then Mutsuki arrived.
Mutsuki: Leave him alone!
She tried to cut me with her daggers but I jumped behind her. I then used my bikaku to cut her back, leaving an X mark.
Me: Man do all quinx suck?
I didn't see Urie coming from behind as he kicked me in the back. I got sent flying in the air and landed on my back.
Urie: Give me more credit, I need more, I DESERVE MORE!

He then repeated more over and over as he back emitted red light. This time he formed his koukaku but it looked different, not to mention he had a crazy look on his face.
Me(thought): This kid has lost it this time.
I charged at him, ready to finally kill him this time. However he was faster this time and caught me off guard. He gave me a large gash going across my chest, making blood shoot out.
Urie: SAY THAT WAS KINDA FUN, DONT YOU THINK FELLAS!
He charged at me again as I created both my rinkaku and bikaku. He easily destroyed them with his out of control koukaku. As we was about to stab me in the face I grabbed the tip of the blade, making him stop. HE was surprised and tried to break free, so I broke the blade.
Me: You're so full of yourself.
I rapidly punched him over and over again, making him spit out blood. Then I threw him away. Mutsuki crawled next to him. Urie curled up into a ball and began to cry as Mutsuki tried to comfort him. Suddenly he pierced her chest with his arm. His eyes widened as he realized what he just did. Then four red scorpion like tails came out of her and wrapped Urie as if pulling him into a hug. I clapped my hands as they both looked at me.
Me: Well that was sweet, but unfortunately we're still in the middle of a fight. So it's time for both of you to die.
Mutsuki: You seem to really hate quinx.
Me: You're right...I DO!
I lunged my rinkaku at them but they were sliced apart. Standing there was Juuzou and his squad.
Juuzou: You're going to pay for what you did to Shinohara.
Me: Bring it kid.
They all charged at me. I started to leap from place to place, dodging the various swings and attacks at me.
Me: I dont know why you insist on fighting, Big Madam already escaped. You failed your mission.
That didn't stop them so I continued to fight. The one with two swords charged at me so I used my bikaku to dodge his various swings. I then kicked him right in the chest to get away from him. The guy with the battle axe charged next, attempting to hit me but instead hits the ground. I attack with a single rinkaku tendril but he quickly used his axe to block. I eyed Juuzou running on the wall towards me. I fire shards with my ukaku, Juuzou jumps off the wall and uses his scythe to block.
When he got close he swung his scythe at me but ends up hitting the ground. I got ready to hit him with my rinkaku but the guy with white eyes sliced my kakuhou, destroying my kagune. Then the guy with a single sword and battle axe attack, both landing hits on me. Then the guy with two swords stabs me in the chest with both of his weapons. When he gets out of the way Juuzou is right in front of me, slicing me across my chest. I get sent back and tumble across the floor. I lie there, waiting to see what happens.
???: Did we get him?
Juuzou: No, it's to easy.
I got back up.
Me: You're right, I was just faking. But you caught off guard, you guys are better than I thought.
We all got into fighting stances once again. However I nothing that made me stop completely. That smell belonged to one person.
It was Arima.

His motivation to pursue his studies, gone. This event caused Jacob to fall into the death grip that is a job in retail. Now if this change was a good or bad thing, he didn't know. But there was one thing Jacob knew for certain. He didn't have to mop the floors anymore. Author's Note: (This is my first story, and I would be very thankful if grammatical errors were pointed out. I could also take a few suggestions in the comments if you would. This is less a planned production, and more a little project that I'm winging as it goes. I will try and be consistent with at least 2 chapters a week. Also, as I am a completely new author, the number of words per chapter may fluctuate. The minimum will be around 1000 words, while other chapters may be 2000-3000. It will hopefully only get better with time.)

YAOS 1 - Limitless Adventures - Yet Another OP Story Book 1
December 23rd 2018: Book 1 is now up at Smashwords and at Amazon. December 30th 2018: V1.1.2 of YAOS Book 1 is out, some content additions, fixed typos. Amazon's enhanced typesetting now displays tables properly. YAOS is shown through the eyes of some genius athlete getting OP inside a VR, ah wait, Full Immersion game, ?F.I.O?. Not a Hero, not a Nerd, just a driven individual paying for mistakes made, biding time until he can return to the Real World. He isn't defined like you'd normally do it, you can pick his looks and name all on your own, just like you do in video games. Believe it or not, keeping his looks undefined is harder than you think. His backstory isn't expounded in detail, but it drives his choices. Book 1 isn't about depressing sob stories but about fun and rushing forward, pursuing new horizons. Oh, and you'll end on a cliffhanger! Well, most serials do, so you will probably expect that without being told explicitly. But it isn't that bad, there's a lot of reveals and more to come once this book, that is the first in a planned three-part series, is finally ready for release on amazon et al. The published version will have: 1.) Godawful speaker tags, I hate them, they make you stop thinking and speed up editing so much. In hindsight they should have been in to begin with. But I stand by my goals proclaimed earlier. You guys should think while reading, that is the whole point of the exercise. Apply the knowledge and ideas, improve yourself, get creative! 2.) Pretty colored tables, the damned blue boxes, a lot of work, 69 in one book. Finally fixed amazon's centering issue. Can't say I liked the hours needed to debug that. 3.) The promised Mitara chapters. 4.) A cover! 5.) And lastly, updated polished versions of several chapters. MC shares more of his past, some terrible chapters (esp. 32) finally work. Some new scenes, minor rewrites in parts. Text flow and other issues. The current challenge is to maintain essential ambiguity while satisfying people wanting to know more without thinking three steps ahead. Balancing one with the other is tough. The smut which was in remains, but the story told is not to be superseded by it. A 15+ rating for the first book is also important, not to mention, YAOS wasn't meant to contain any smut to begin with. If the Author can turn to writing full time his output should increase, so please support YAOS #1 once it does finally release. ~Thank You~ No maps so far, that should be in, but is really hard to get done right. Again, tips are appreciated. Update September 2017: Stubbed chapters, sorry guys, currently don't have time to upload them elsewhere, polishing book 1 and 2, writing 3, takes precedence. Book 1 is in heavy editing, too much to keep synced and continuing editing. I'd need a site which offers JS-free rapid managing of chapters and comments. Coding one myself or setting a premade up is out of scope until I'm done with the books. RRL-old offered that, nuff said. This is only here because the author believes in fairies, nobody reads this, most likely. October to December 2017: Life threw some curveballs. February 2018: Book 2 draft 1 completed, at ~150K words. Book 2 is fairly epic in scope, requires 1 rewritten chapter, some editing. Tables and miscellanea are in, but needs at least a grammar pass. March 2018: Book 3 at 28k words, first arc, rest needs serious planning for spin-off and satisfying conclusion. July 2018: Yet another proofing/editing session of books 1-3, 101+ chapters, ~300k words. B3 at 48k, starts out great, but no ETA, no wordcount limit, in flux. But prioritizing my writing cannot be done, I hate the delays as much as you, but you will prefer the whole released in a timely fashion rather than wait. Knowing myself how excruciating waiting can be, at least you'll get significantly polished versions and an ETA on book 2 by release of book 1. December 23rd 2018: Book 1 is now up at Smashwords and in the process at Amazon et. al.. . To all who wait patiently, offered feedback, thanks again!

Unique Fusion Magic Hex
World Essence. The mysterious energy coursing throughout the entire land of Vor'ten, and very possibly the entire world. This energy has allowed humanity to flourish, building great empires and vast kingdoms, conquering nature itself with just a sweep of their hand. Humans were the strongest existence, and with the help of channeling this World Essence, many were able to turn into Magic Knights, gaining magical abilities to combat the various fierce beasts throughout the lands.Alas... those glory days of old were long gone. Humanity has now been pushed to the brink of destruction, and now the remaining members of the human race are encased within giant domes known as 'Alkkras', made with the last remaining bits of the World Essence. It was said that those giant domes were the last gifts left by the remnants of the ancient human race, as a means to protect the future generation from the attacks of the many wild beasts roaming outside. Five Spiritualist Invokers, all combined together, used the last bit of the World Essence and sacrificed their lives to lay a gigantic, 1028-seal formation magic array to form these barriers, forever saving humanity, but also trapping humanity within these barriers. However, the humans were never completely helpless. No matter how little World Essence was left, the humans still had some remaining. Realizing the incoming crisis, the humans found a way to seal World Essence inside a special type of crystal. Soon, these crystals began to become implanted into weapons, turning them into World Essence Weapons, and they began to display properties of their own. Extreme heat. Bone chilling cold. Absurd sharpness. These normal weapons, after being imbued with the energy of the World Essence Crystals, began to form natural affinities to elements. Fire. Water. Earth. Wind. Darkness. Light. Using these weapons, one could become a Chevalier that wielded the power of the elements. However, if one wanted to reach a higher level of enlightenment and understanding, one could become an Invoker. Via the study of magic array formations, one could directly use the power of the World Essence to cast devastating magics upon the enemy. These people were Invokers, highly valued for their combat potential by the Army. These weapons and magical arrays were used in the great fight between the humans and the beasts long ago. They had long since been put away in storage, almost long forgotten...However, after ten-thousand years of suppression, the human race is beginning its counterattack against the Beasts... Synth was an Invoker in the Magecroft Academy. However, his talent was terrible, being only at the Spark Stage. This led to him being looked down upon and bullied. He was unable to cast any Calamity-rank or even Destruction rank spells, and was only able to cast Coalescing rank spells at the age of 17, a record low in the academy for cultivating these rare Invokers. Even though he put in more effort than anyone else, he was still unable to advance his Channeling Energy. But due to his constant research and study, Synth ended up creating a power that would go against the heavens - he had found how to Fuse spells together. After trying it out once, merging the magical array for the Small Fireball and the Mortal Judgement skills, he was able to create a mid-rank Destruction tier spell, Holy Judgement Flame. However, after this, no matter how hard he tried, he was unable to fuse more spells together or even cast them, and noticed a weird, pentagram shaped formation on his left arm. He would later call this mark the Fusion Magic Hex, a curse that prevented the wielder from casting magic that wasn't their own...This meant that with the exception of Synth's newly created skill, , he was going to have to create unique magic arrays if he ever wanted to step on the path of becoming an Invoker! This power that destroyed the laws of the Invoking System, and his unyielding persistence in testing and creating new spells, would later gain Synth the nickname the Unique Fusion Hex, and lead him to become one of the strongest beings in the entire World!
