Born in Brooklyn and the son of the famous Joe Pesci, Carlo grew up around the mob scene where he knew guys on the street, but he never participated in any of that life. Instead he played sports like football and baseball to keep away from that life.

When he saw professional wrestling for the first time, he was mesmerized by Razor Ramon, Shawn Michaels, and Bret Hart. When he told his father about this career choice, Joe was all for it and supported him.

He made his huge big break in CZW, where he met Jon Moxley, formerly known as Dean Ambrose, where he was trained to not only be a pro wrestler, but to be a Deathmatch wrestler as well, becoming his friend in the process. Shortly after being trained, Carlo won the CZW Championship on his first night, confronting his mentor who challenged anyone in the back for the title.

He went to ROH, where he made a career of himself, where he won the ROH World Championship and the TV Title, being a brilliant heel and baby face he can be.

After some time in Ring of Honor, Carlo went to WWE, to try something new, but he was released three months later after some allegations of sexual harassment, which he denied because outside of the ring, he was a gentleman, respecting women and keeping his distance from that type of personality.

In Japan, he went to New Japan Pro Wrestling, where he was a member of Bullet Club, proving himself worthy by capturing the IWGP Intercontinental Title 4 times, like his idol Razor Ramon.

Whenever he was bored or needed something to do, Carlo'd be working out in the New Japan dojo or helping with the female wrestlers at Stardom, where he met Kairi Hojo, Asuka, who became a mentor to him after teaching him the art of Strong Stye wrestling, and Io Shirai, where the four became best friends and stay in touch.

Carlo then left for NXT where he was looking to reinvigorate his career as a wrestler and to start fresh.

There he was able to see his friends again and see Io as well, but will NXT forgive him and push him, or will they bury him and leave him off the card?

That remains to be seen as Io knew about his past in NXT, but didn't see him differently as she was kind and sweet to him unlike many other women he's met.

The question remains: are they destined for each other, or is it the other way around?
