Chanyeol woke up at 3 am, feeling thirsty. He groaned slightly before sitting on the bed.
He stared at the sleeping beauty, and a sudden smile made its way to his face. He fixed his lover's blanket and pillow, before planting a soft kiss on his forehead, caressing his hair gently afterward.
He finally stood up, making his way toward the kitchen, wanting to get rid of the pain in his throat due to the thirst. He sat on the chair, bringing the large cup of water to his lips and drinking its content.
He washed the cup and placed it in its original place, before making his way upstairs.
He layed on the bed next to the smaller, and looked at him intensely.
He suddenly couldn't sleep, as negative thoughts invaded his mind.
What would he do, if the petite didn't make it?
He wanted to just sleep and shake the thought away, but he couldn't.
Let's just think about it; Baekhyun not making it, meant him having to die, and leave him all alone, with no one to kiss, hug, or spend time with.
He'd become his old self again-- all sad and depressed, a loner. But this time it'll be worse since he's so attached to the man. Would he really survive?
A world without Baekhyun is dark, cold, and scary. After all, the petite is his light, his savior, and the person who made him become a better man.
He felt the sensitive organ in the left area of his chest ache, and a lump rising up to his throat, meaning that he was on the verge of tears.
(A.N i never EVER cried at something i wrote and my eyes are watering right now what the fuck it feels like this is happening to me)

He always maintained to stay strong in front of his lover, always forced the salty liquid in his eyes not to spill and fall down his cheeks. But now, he was sleeping, so why not just take the chance and soothe the heaviness in his heart.
He hugged his husband slowly and gently, not wanting him to wake up and see him in this state. He placed his lips on the spot where the tumor is taking place, and hopped that his care and love would heal it away. Delusional, right, but he was too broken to listen to his consciousness and sanity.
But when he felt himself not able to contain his sobs that were getting stronger, he quickly got up and made his way to the balcony, sliding the glass door behind him.
He kneeled on the ground, as he cried his pain and sorrow. He had his hand on his lips to lower down his voice and not wake up his husband.
After a few minutes of crying, he stayed in his kneeling situation and placed his head on the ground. He started mumbling softly,
He started sobbing but stopped to finish his prayers,
He was about to stand up, when he heard soft sniffles.
He quickly cleaned his face from the remaining tears, and forced a smile on his face. He asked, planting a kiss on his forehead and smiling as if nothing happened.
Baekhyun finished as he started sobbing.
Chanyeol's voice broke as he shed a whole new set of tears,
The smaller stayed silent, his face showing the most broken expression you could've imagined. He closed his eyes shut while tears still made their way down his cheeks. He walked to his lover and hugged him tight,
The giant sobbed a bit, before returning the hug twice as tight, burying his face in his petite's neck and said,

Baekhyun smiled in content,
He broke the hug, smiling widely at his lover. He held his hand and dragged him to the bed, pushing him gently to lay on it, and sat on top of his legs. He smiled again as he caressed his husband's soft brown hair, and his hands suddenly made its way to his cheeks, cleaning them from the tear stains. He lowered his face and rested his forehead on Chanyeol's, before placing his lips on his plump ones.
They savored each other's mouth, as they poured their love into their passionate kiss. It was as if the world was blurred, and only the two of them existed. Chanyeol's hand traveled down to his petite's waist, and hugged it tight, making them closer than ever. Their need of oxygen soon made them break the affectionate kiss.
They stayed in the same position, the both of them panting and filling their lungs with the amount of air needed.
The smaller said, smiling at his one and only and pecking his lips softly.
The said one smiled too,
i added this chapter because i figured out that i will be having to repeat it on both of the epilogues since it's the same events, so why not do it in a single chapter?
I'm home alone for the whole day and i will fucking do whatever i want (except eating because its ramadan smh)
See you later!!!! Love youuuu ❤️ ❤️

Leftover Apocalypse
[Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] This is a story about the newly-adult Calliope Smith having a terrible day that ends in her getting mysteriously teleported from Phoenix, Arizona to a fantasy world where her life is in constant danger. She considers this an upgrade. Someone evil is looking for her, and she doesn't know why. Someone who seems to know a lot about her has promised they'll help her, but she doesn't know who they are. All that matters to Callie is that magic is real and one way or another she's going to learn it. The end of the world is coming up, sure, but Callie won't need to worry about that. In fact, by the time she even finds out about it one of the doomsday devices will already be destroyed, and the authorities will be well on the way to dealing with the other one. It's fine. Everything will be smooth sailing. Almost certainly. Probably. Chapters are usually about 2500-3500 words, and the goal is to post 2-3 per week but I sometimes get busy or have some writers block. It's your standard portal fantasy / Isekai premise, but unlike some the main character's time on Earth and how she got pulled into another world will (eventually) be explored. Some slight GameLit-feeling stuff later, no menus or level-ups but there's something suspiciously like a skill tree when the magic system gets going. No number crunching, and while the main character will get to do some silly stuff she won't be a god like in some fics (and will in fact spend a lot of time being badly outclassed by her enemies). Some reader interaction, ranging from adding to the worldbuilding to occasionally making big important decisions about skill progression. Please note that the main character is flawed and impulsive, and will make some stupid decisions. That's part of the story, but I get that it's not for everyone. Trigger Warnings: Foster care system references, crappy parenting. Some mental health adjacent stuff, specifically the main character has some issues where she experiences varying levels of empathy and emotional vulnerability depending on the day (it's complicated and not meant to portray any real-world conditions). Occasional violence including mention of death and grievous bodily harm, but no detailed descriptions of gore.

This is my first story to ever be posted. As I am an amateur writer, there shall be mistakes. More so with the fact that English is not my first language. This story is a re-write, and its original version was a request by a dear friend of mine. Though hopefully this version would be far better.. As the original version was a very cringe worthy thing. Many thanks to certain friends that have convinced me to post this. I shall do my best to at least update frequently, without sacrificing the.. quality of chapters. Tags will be added as the story goes on. || Disclaimer: Much of the chapters before Chapter Twelve are of poorer quality in terms of Grammar. So do forgive me for them, by Chapter Twelve and beyond however, the quality of the chapters should have had improved. I'm hopefully gonna fix most of the earlier chapters when I hit Chapter Twenty or Thirty.
