"You do know that these things never end well, right?" Geno's hand was being pulled by Death, walking over to somewhere that Geno didn't know.
Death smiled wider and nodded. "I'm determined to make this the perfect..."
They both entered through a gate.
"...FOURTH DATE!" Death gestured to beautiful garden that was much inspired by Life's garden, but it was ten times better. There were a lot of younger characters running around, you could easily tell they were from Littletale. Even Kris and Ralsei were there, apparently they were babysitting them.
"Please don't set the grass on fire." Ralsei mumbled, he was wearing casual clothes so his fur was white, his pink glasses a little slanted. Little Toriel extinguish the flame in her hand and ran off, Ralsei jogging after her.
"Why did we agree to this." Kris muttered to Ralsei.
Geno watched as the group move to a further part of the garden, Death patted the grassy floor and Geno joined him. The reaper pointed at the sky, where clouds could be seen.
Geno smiled softly at the fluffy clouds that reminded him of cotton candy, he reached at the sky and pretended to touch them. Death watched in awe as Geno looked dreamily at the blue sky, patting the air.
"Oh." Geno looked at Death and blushed. "That looked pretty dumb, huh?"
"No it was...cute." Death grinned, blushing too. "You don't see the sky often, do you?"
"I do, but I don't really take the time to actually see it." Geno let his hand drop and settle on Death's hand. "This is really calming."
"Yeah, it is." Death touched the grass. "Never knew grass was this soft."
"Pfft." Geno snorted and laughed, remembering that anything Death touched would die except when in the Omega Timeline. Death laughed too, thinking of the same thing.

Then Death was knocked against the head by a bone. He turned around, his white pupils gone. Little Sans stared back at Death with the same expression. They had a no pupil staring contest for a while. Geno watched as Little Sans move away slowly, giving Death the I'm-watching-you gesture.
"Never knew a small me could be this creepy." Death turned back to Geno.
"I bet he was joking." Geno laughed.
They spent the next few hours chilling with each other, telling stupid jokes and sharing small talk. Soon the sky turned dark despite the lack of a sun, the familiar orange-yellow colors on the sky started to show.
Geno stared at it with fondness, remembering his first time on the surface with his new family. The thought grew sad and his grin dropped. Death gripped Geno's hand tightly and looked into his eyes.
"It's gonna be ok soon." Death whispered to Geno, when he finished, he leaned in slowly.
Geno too, leaned in, muttering to Death. "I love you."
"I love you too." Death kissed Geno and for a brief moment, Geno felt fine. All his worries just melted away.
Distant clapping and sobbing could be heard.
"That was beautiful." UT Mob Papyrus wiped away a tear.
"Finally." G Sans clapped.
"YAY FOR YOU!!!!" Blueberry cheered.
Various Frisks gave a signature thumbs up.
The Chara murder squad gagged and walked off.
Ink was just munching on a taco with Error and cheering. Core Frisk then kicked his arse and told him to get back to work. Error noped away.
Geno screamed internally and Death was just shook.

A note from the Author: PLEASE leave a review and alert me of any plot holes, weak portions, and anything else. I am in desperate need of beta readers and feedback. I wrote this around the new year, 2020. It's about 40k words and the first in a planned series that follows Gar "Alany" Darron and his agency of detectives as they track missing persons in the city of Throne. I have the sequel planned but not written. Once this one is completely uploaded, I'll be uploading another, unrelated series that as of right now is roughly 160k words long, and somewhere in there, I'll write the sequel to Frame of Mind. I plan to go back and forth between the two series for the foreseeable future. Thanks for reading.
