Death felt empty without Geno, despite going on 2 dates with him, he have never heard him say the words; "I love you" and it was starting to make Death question if Geno even liked him.

Plus, Geno didn't even complain when Core Frisk said he had to leave and go to the Omega Timeline and stay there forever. He didn't say that he wanted to stay with him at all.

Death was jolted out of his thoughts by Papyrus placing a hand on his shoulder. "You should go do your work now, it may take your mind off...him."

Death nodded, slowly getting up and pulling out his scythe, teleporting away.

Around him he saw the dead bodies, the souls ready for breaking, he raised his scythe and didn't think twice when he slashed it down.
