《Fade Away [Reapertale]》Chapter #11: Battle Against A True Hero
Advertisement
The real heroes stand until the end
But the biggest fight is inside
Feelings clashing while you pretend
That the bloodstains one day will dry
Then you hear those voices in your head
Telling you it will be alright
But your heart keeps telling you again
Real heroes don't have to fight
[3rd POV]
Sans looked at everyone in the room. Sadness. Anger. Hatred was written all over there faces.
No one said a word. No one dared to speck.
"This can't be real." One of the guards man finally said.
"Of course this is real!" Undyne yelled at the man. "We are at war! Of course they would come to us!" Undyne stood up and looked at everyone. "We will fight. We will win. We all will lay our life on the line today! We all do this for the kingdom! For the people who can't fight! For the poor, for the weak. For us. If you are not up to that, there the door." Undyne said pointing across the room to the door. "I'm going to fight, even if you don't." And with that she walked out the door with her head held hide.
Sans looked at everyone. "I dont know about you guys but these lazy bones are with her." He said and walked to the door with his hands in his pokets. "Get (Y/N) and Frisk, Mettaton. Papurys with me." Mettaton nods his head and runs off. Sans lets out a sigh
I have to do whats right for my kingdom.
Sans and Papurys walked to the wepon room to find everyone there. "Lets win this war!" Sans shouted holding up a knife. "If they want war then we will give it to them! People will die. People you may love." Sans said casting a look over at (Y/N) "But you cant let it get to you just yet. Fight this war for your family future! Fight for this kingdom! Fight like you never have before! Show them what you are made of! LET WIN!"

Hearing Sans speech fills you with determination.
The room erupted with sound and battle crys.
"Lets go!" Undyne yells rushing out of the room. Everyone rushed out.
Sans caught up to Frisk and (Y/N). "Are you sure you want to fight?" He asked.
"Yes." (Y/N) said with a smile.
"Watch after her then." Sans said looking down at Frisk and then running to the front of the lines.
It was already a bloody mess there. Human bodys and monsters body were already all over the ground. The air already smelled of rust.
Sans looked around for Chara. Finally he spotted her battling Undyne. Sans runed over to them. "Leave Undyne." He said not taking his eyes off Chara.
"Bu-" Undyne tried to say.
"I said leave Undyne."
"Well look who it is." Chara said floating infront of Sans "Came to finally finish me off?"
"Shut up Chara." Sans said snapping his fingers. Gaster Blasters showed up behind him. He holds out his hand and aim them at Chara.
Chara moved out of the way and tried to strink at him. He moves out of the way.
Sans kept his cool. He raised his hand and bones came out of the ground. He clutched his hand and the flew towards Chara.
"HAHA!" Chara laughted. Her hand flew out infront of her. "You wanna see a new trick Sans?" Her hand balls up in a fist. Sans black soul comes out of his chest. Chara smiles and pulls her hand towards her.
Sans soul and body was yanked forwards. "Is that how you want to play?" He asked.
Sans smiled and puts his hand up pulling on Chara soul. He throws her onto the ground. Bones from the dead bodies around her attack her, hitting her, lowing her HP.

"I can play dirty to Chara." Sans said as Gaster Blaster circle around her body.
Chara got up onto her feet mumbling "I thought his blood was suppose to work." She looks up wide eyes.
"Do you wanna have a bad time?" Sans said watching Chara trying not to be hit by his attack.
Sans looked around him. Most of Chara army had fallen but there was a good bit still fighting. Sans spotted (Y/N). She was yelling to someone.
Sans turned back around to Chara. She was running at him.
"SANS!" A voice yelled across the battle field.
A knife pieced flesh.
A scream.
Blood.
"Win this for me." The voice said.

Edge Cases (Book 1 Complete!)
Rare classes and powerful skills are helpful. Too bad the system doesn't seem built to handle them. What even are all these errors? Our team of outcasts and adventurers will have to rely on their trust - and the bane of all stories, healthy communication - just to survive, let alone understand what the system is doing. Because they're quickly realizing that it's doing something; to people, to monsters, and maybe even to the gods themselves. And their goal isn't just to survive; it's to make things better. It's a good thing they're not doing it alone. --- Edge Cases is an attempt to take the LitRPG genre and the overpowered MCs trope and write a story where numbers aren't everything. Sometimes it takes trust, support, and just a touch of being very, very clever. Expect a mix of action, slice-of-life, friendship, and ominous worldbuilding. Updates M-W-F at 6pm EST. Cover art by Alovck of Artstation, and typesetting by jessessey right here on RoyalRoad.

A Step Behind Death
Please share your thoughts about the story! Feedback and criticism is welcome, it'll help me improve my writing. "The final year of high school is the most difficult." This statement has never been truer for Damis, a student attending one of the many schools in the City of Sundridge. He never wanted anything more than to live a peaceful life, going so far as to avoid having large group of friends, indulging in dragged out conversations, or being involved in any other activity that requires him to invest a large amount of effort to accomplish. Instead, he poured all of his efforts into studying, dwelling in his internal monologues, and complaining about the things that annoy him to his one and only friend, Noah. Before long, he ended up as one of the best students in his class. As far as he was concerned, he was content with how he lived. But, after a confrontation with an eccentric girl named May, one of his classmates since the first year of high school, things have suddenly gotten out of hand. And as a result, his life became a lot more hectic than it used to be. Bound by a deal he could not refuse, his life as May's assistant began. At this rate, can he still spend the final days of his high school life in peace? Welcome to the life of Damis, the boy who's always A Step Behind Death. The cover art is made by friend of mine. I plan on making this novel into a webtoon once it becomes the best it can be. English isn't my first language, so expect some grammar bumps along the way.

The Crisis on Planet 9
Welcome to the dream colony Planet 9, where the streets are stained by blood and the buildings are filled with human remains. The creatures roaming among the abandoned cars and flying vehicles resemble almost to perfection the mindless cannibalistic zombies born from the fictional nightmares of mankind. The cities were built in the retro style of the 21st century, but the technology of the 24th century is ever present, mostly within the bodies of those mortally challenged monstrosities. After all, what turned them into these things was not an evolved organic virus, an alien disease, or some sort of magical artifact, it was the corrupted and reprogrammed nanobots within their bodies. Originally, they were meant to heal them and help them access the tech around them, but now they were the origin of this disaster. Among the rotting dead and the Nano-Z, as the survivors called them, Kardian Pandora awakens two months after getting bit by one of them. A young teacher at the local Resonance High, foolish and naive in his own way, but now driven by the Sapient AI in the nanobots inside his body to hunt down other Nano-Z and learn how to survive. For now, his only goal is to become strong enough and rejoin his students and fellow colleagues, foolishly hoping to somehow be able to get back to the time when the undead did not rule the streets. Will Kardian be able to survive in this new savage world or will his naive outlook lead him to a dead end? Volume 1 can be bought on Amazon: Resonance High
