Didn't know what I got into
Somehow I can't go back even if I really wanted to
So what more can I do?
Here in the end it's just me and you.
~~~~
[Asgore POV]
Does Sans even know who this girl is? Does she know of her dangerous past? Of who her parents are. Looks to me he does not.
I looked at her again. She looks so much like her but she's different. I can tell.
Somewhere deep inside of me I feel like she can do some good.
Maybe I should let her stay.
I looked back at Sans to see him looking at (Y/N) with a confused look.
I let out a little sigh and walked closer to (Y/N).
"I will let you stay here, if you promise to not hurt anyone here." I said with authority in my voice.
"I promise." She said with a little smile.
"Sans." I said. Sans head snapped over to me. "Take her to see Frisk and tell her of her job here."
Sans nods. I watched them leave.
I walk back to the window and looked out of it.
Everything was slowly dying. "What am I going to do?"
[(Y/N) POV]
We walked back down the golden corridor.
Everything was so pretty here. I wonder how long I will be able to stay here.
"So your job here is to watch over Frisk. Even know she's a God she still need to be watched over. You will do whatever she wants. Play with her, make food, put her to sleep. Whatever it is. You have to stay with her all the time. She already know you are coming so....." He stopped at the front of a purple door.
He puts his hand on the door and slowly opens it.
Just like every other room that I have seen in this place already it was beautiful.
The walls were a light shade of purple. There were vines growing all over the walls but not a lot. They had different flowers on it, some blue, some pink, some yellow.
As I looked around my eyes landed on a small girl in the middle of the room.
She was in a white silk looking dress and some brown little shoes. She had brown hair that came down a little bit past her shoulders. On top of her head was a flower crown and it looked like she was making another one.
A small light was shining down from the ceiling.
She looked like an angel.
Finally she turns around. With a smile she runs over to Sans and hands him the flower crown she had just got done making.
"Sorry kid but no." Sans said not taking the crown.
Frisk pouted a little.
"Fine!" Sans pulls the flower crown out of her hands
and puts it on mumbling something like 'You win this time.'
She then looks at me. For a moment she realizes something then she goes and grabs a piece of paper. She writes something on it.
Once she was done she turns it around. 'Sorry but I can't speak.'
Awe poor girl.
'Can you sign?' I asked through sign language.
With a small smile she signs back 'Yes.'
"Well I guess I'll leave you two to it now." Sans said as he turned around.
Suddenly Frisk grabs Sans outfit shaking her head 'No.'
Sans turns around real fast. "Kid! I told you not to touch me and that means my clothes too."
'Sorry.' Frisk signs back.
A breath of relief left Sans. "Now what do you want?"
'For you to stay and play with me and sissy.' She said as she grabbed my hand.
I look down at her. She already thinks of me a sister? But she doesn't even know me. Why?
I could feel the tears building up in the back of my eyes.
No. Not now.
I shake my head to get rid of the tears.
"Sure, kid." Sans said as he walked farther into the room. Me and Frisk walking behind him. "So what do you want to do kid?"
Frisk smiles. Letting go of my hand, and she runs over to grab a football. She placed it down by my feet.
"Remember last time i beat your as-"
"Sans!" I yelled before he could finish his sentence.
"Not around kids!"
Sans blushed a little. "Sorry."
For the next few hours we all played. It was filled with laughter and happiness.
I don't think I ever had so much fun in one day but it had to end to soon.
"Sans?" Someone said from the door. "Asgore needs you." And all you could hear was footsteps walking away.
Sans looks over at Frisk - who was now latched onto my side. "Sorry kid. Duty calls. I promise I'll be back tomorrow." And with that he teleported out.
Me and Frisk stood there for a moment before Frisk moved back a little and pulled me over to a door in the back of the room.
Through the room was Frisks' bedroom.
Frisk pulls me over to her bed and sits down on it.
She looks up at me and pats the place next to her.
I sit down next to her.
Frisk looks down at her hands. She's playing with her thumbs.
"Frisk." I finally said putting my hand on her shoulder. "Is something wrong? You can tell me."
Frisk slowly lifts ups her head and takes a deep breath. She gets up out of the bed and goes and stands in front of me.
'I know who you are Goddess of Misguided Souls.' She gets down on one knee and bows her head.'Daughter of Evil, The Lost One, The Dangerous One, Angel Of Darkness. I've heard story out of you and now here you are. I -Goddess of Mercy- ask you - Goddess of Misguided Soul- to help me against the fight against the growing darkness. Will you help me?' Frisk signed out.
I felt my power surge through me. I couldn't hold it in. The room was filled with blue light.
Was.... Was she praying to me? I stand up.
I looked down at her and place my hand on her shoulder. "Frisk.." I said. She looks up at me with sad eyes. "Of course I will help you sis."
Frisk jumps up and attacks me into a hug. I wrap my arms around her and hug her tightly.
Is this how it feels to be accepted by someone? It feels.... Good.
Maybe with a bit of luck and planning, he can build a force to defend the world without anyone realizing it. Author's Thoughts: What is litRPG (From wikipedia) - LitRPG, short for Literary Role Playing Game, is a literary genre combining the conventions of MMORPGs with science-fiction fantasy novels.[1] LitRPG is a literary genre where games or game-like challenges form an essential part of the story. A LitRPG work simultaneously narrates the story of characters inside and outside of the game-world. At least some of the characters in a LitRPG novel therefore understand that they are playing a game: they are 'meta-aware'. So, while Tolkien's Lord of the Rings is a fantasy novel, a book about people creating avatars and interacting in a Lord of the Rings MMORPG would be a LitRPG novel.Why do I read them? You know, I am not too sure. I love MMOs. I played them, quit them, joined up and repeated the cycle. They are fun! They are a massive waste of time but so are most games. Do I want to read about someone else playing them? Sort of?The advent of VR and the possibility of VR someday becoming so immersive that you can't tell them from reality sets the imagination on fire. What if this could be life? But most stories fall short. At the end of the day the protagonist hangs up his VR helmet and goes to have dinner with his mom and dad or other family and it becomes meaningless. It's like the story that ends because the main character woke up and nothing you read matters.There have been some books that explore the concept of the intersection of reality and total immersion VR. Enders Game is a classic. There were a few others that escape me but they exist, however, the cross between the game and reality is weak.So what if the game was real? The technology needed for total immersion VR is so advanced that by the time we reach that goal technology should have naturally evolved to include several items. You must have direct neural input. You simply can't have a total immersion (all senses and perfect presence) experience without this basic prerequisite. If you have direct neural access, you can probably do neat things like feed knowledge and skills directly to that person. You can undoubtedly do many horrible things as well. Muscles are controlled by the brain. If you control the brain why would you let the body just sit there and rot? A person that sits unmoving for 24 hours a day will have their body whither away just like a coma patient. However, if you control the brain you could control the muscles. On a basic level, this would be isometric impulses, working muscle group against muscle group to avoid atrophy. Taken to its logical conclusion you would be able to gain muscle mass and program muscle memory. The flip side is that you could remote control their body... but let's not go there. So what would people do if it were real? Well, they would probably limit and regulate it since the drawbacks are very obvious. Even if you look at the basic aspects of this you can see some negative possibilities. Look at the Sword Art Online anime. Personally, I think they missed the boat by putting a bomb in the VR helmet. Do you really need a bomb when you have direct access to the brain?So what kind of events would you need to have a situation where the obvious drawbacks haven't been explored? Maybe a society where the advancement of technology has so far outstripped the explorations of its applications that ignorance was truly bliss? Okay, so I had to put in an alien invasion to kickstart the premise, but that was just one of the possibilities.
