《Reapertale: The Reaper Finds Love》Sacrifices and a Mirror

There was such a bright light that enveloped Frisk and Chara. Yea I was angry when Frisk tossed their weapon but there wasn't anything I could do. The light that was emitted froze both Gaster and myself to the spot. Not ten minutes later it faded away and we heard a thump from their direction. We stopped fighting and looked over to see no movement from either side.
"Frisk?" Their wing was still bleeding red from where Chara had cut them as they charged her, but Chara was pale and looked t be dead. Frisk didn't move other than her breathing, Gaster didn't make any attack to either of us. I walked up to the two bodies on the ground and saw that Chara was defiantly gone. I couldn't even find a trace of their soul.
Frisk was a different matter entirely, they were pale sure but that was most likely due to their injuries. Their cheeks had a slight red on them and they were sweating. Their eyes closed as they breathed in and out. I'm not to sure when Papyrus and Tori showed up or even how long I was there looking over Frisks injuries trying my best to get them to stop bleeding. I was finishing the splint for their right wing and bandaging the cut, when Paps spoke up first.
"DID THE HUMAN WIN THE BATTLE SANS? OR ARE THEY DYING? IF SO WE HAVE A JOB TO DO ITHER WAY. " I stopped wrapping the wing and sighed, I hadn't even bothered to check her soul and stats. I haven't checked them in a long time, and honestly I didn't want to see it. I knew all to well what I might see if I looked at it.
"They won I suppose, Chara is gone and Gaster stopped attacking. As to if they are dying or not I don't know, I refused to check her soul and stats. So I took up the job of bandaging them up. If you want to check stats at least wait until we get them back home, we can.. deal with it then. I don't want to kill them in a place like this, I would rather say my goodbyes to them at home." I sighed and resumed finishing off the last of the bandages.

"The mirror... bring me.. to the mirror." Frisk spoke up and I glanced at them to be certain, their eyes were partly open as they looked up in the position thy were laying in. "I have one.. more job to do before.. we can go.. home. Bring.. Gaster with us.. he needs to be there." I chanced a glance to Gaster who was looking away from us with his head hanging in defeat.
"Alright kid, if your sure you have to do this then I suppose I can do that." I looked to Toriel and Papyrus. "Guys can you meet us at the house. We will be there as soon as we can, I.. we have some unfinished busyness to take care of first."
"Of course Sans.. just try not to be to long alright?" I nodded and Toriel led Paps away as he protested the idea. Saying that he needed to be there for whatever it was that we were doing. I carefully picked Frisk up as they groaned in discomfort at being moved.
"Sorry kid, I wasn't trying to hurt cha. Its just going to be easier to carry you when we go to do this job that you need to finish. And I will be there every step of the way, alright?" They looked at me with a soft smile and nodded as we walked up to Gaster. "Alright Gaster, you are coming with us. Frisk says you need to be at the mirror with us when she finishes her job."
Gaster looked at us and nodded placing a hand on my shoulder. I teleported us to the location of the broken mirror and he let go of me. "Sans why are we here? This mirror is useless to us in its current state." To be honest I didn't know why we were here either, but this is where Frisk wanted to go so who was I to deny them that?

"Set me against the.. mirror please. So that.. I can finish this.. where it started." I nodded and walked up to the mirror. I was careful about this as I set Frisks back against the mirror, they looked up at me with half open eyes and nodded. "Thank you Sans, please... stand away and send over ..Gaster for me." I nodded and walked up to Gaster.
"They are asking for you, but if you do anything to hurt them, I will take what isn't shattered of your soul and send it very far away got it?" My eye flashed blue just for a moment as I calmed myself down. Gaster nodded and walked cautiously up to Frisk who only smiled and motioned for them to get closer to them. They started talking to Gaster who only ever nodded or shook his head in response.
Then suddenly Frisk must have told him to do something because his sockets opened wide as he stared at them and glanced over at me. Then shook his head to witch they made a stern look and repeated themselves. He sighed and reached out for the mirror, Frisk closed their eyes and again their was a white light that surrounded them. I had to look away to keep from blinding myself.
Then the light died down and as I looked at them they were smiling. The mirror was whole again, and Gaster was his old self. "Frisk... What did you do?!?" I almost yelled at them, they didn't move at all. Their face frozen into a smile but their eyes looked distant. I was in shock as Gaster came over and pulled me to the mirror. He stopped in front of Frisk and bent down. "Sans, I believe it is time to take her home." I could only stare as the rise and fall of their chest had slowed considerably.
I fell to my knees, "Frisk... don't tell me you are dying, I just got you back. You cant die on me, not again." I was in to much shock to even produce tears as I stared at them. Gaster sighed picking them up in one arm and placing a hand on my shoulder with the other. He teleported us to the house to which he walked in and up the stairs into my room.
"OH SANS YOUR BACK.. WHERE IS FRISK?" Papyrus came out of the kitchen with a pot of noodles in his hands as I just sat there on the floor. I suddenly got up and ran to my room with Paps calling after me. As I meet the doorway Gaster was laying Frisk down on my bed covering them with a blanket. He put his hand over their eyes closing them.
"Just let them rest for a few days, after that then we will see how they are doing. If you want I can place a chair in here so you can sit with them and wait for them to wake up. Though I shouldn't be doing this I am going to make an exception just this once. It is our job as reapers to keep peace between the living and the dead souls. It is also our job to decide who lives and who dies. This soul... I think we can let off the hook just this once despite her stats being at a negative 20hp."
