"You'll never be my King, not even in a million years," Felicity snarled.
"But I can live more than a million years," I reminded her. Her heartbeat was thumping like thunder yet as I smell her emotions, it wasn't fear that came. She was filled with anger and outrage. For a wretched person, she's braver than I thought.
Felicity's eyes glared at mine, the depth of her stare was like the deepness of her soul. Not an ounce of fear was in her body as she faced me with full conviction. She's a Lowell, I thought to myself.
"What have you done to my people?" Her query amused me. She could have been thinking of her own self yet she chooses to put her kindred before herself. Was she really this naive? The kind, altruistic, and benevolent Princess Felicity that ignorantly 'bought' me from the revolting auction place?
Then, I answered her back, "Why don't you tell me what your kinsfolk has done to my people?" Suddenly, her eyes changed. It wasn't raging fury that filled the room. Now, it smelled like remorse. Pity? When has one Lowell ever felt regret?
"I liberated you and your people, didn't I?" Her character is simply intriguing. She can be both angry and regretful at once. Then, she can switch to being facetious. Felicity Lowell, a disposition of mystery.
"Liberation is an overstatement. You see, we didn't need your fraud sympathy. We had a constructed plan on that Coronation Ceremony. Did you earnestly think I was some helpless impotent vampire?"
My question seemed to have taken her off-guard. Good, I found a point of weakness, it wasn't her people nor her family that debilitated her, it was the truth of the deception.
"Yet you call my sympathy fraud," she sneered. A genuine sympathy from her family was as good as the serpent from the Garden of Eden, that's the truth. Funny how being deceived is her frailty.
"You want to know what happened to your people?" I vexedly asked. Nothing else would make her situation better but the veracity of our vengeance.
I stepped closer to her and when I was finally an inch away from her, I held out my hand and pressed her temple firmly. She didn't squirm or wiggled out of my grasp, Felicity simply closed her eyes as if she knew what I was going to do.

When I closed my eyes, I showed her a memory of that day. Massacre. Violence. Killing. Bloodbath. That's what I showed her before giving her a glimpse of what happened next. A banquet, a feast, a celebration. After snapping everyone's neck, executing every deserving soul, my empire gorged on their blood.
A hundred and fifty years of suffering that they have given to my people will be nothing compared to our everlasting retaliation. I am cruel but astute. Why would I kill everyone? Of course, I had to let few to live and let the next generation to be born before giving them the burden of their ancestors' transgressions.
As I said, it is our everlasting retaliation. Humans live under a hundred years but we don't. I want every single soul on this planet to fear me, live in consternation under the power of vampires. We may have given them the competence of control and let them abuse it but now, they'll live to regret it every painful day.
"You're wicked and heartless!" She bellowed. That's when I realized that I have enjoyed my thoughts too much and Felicity had managed to get out of my grip.
"Oh, I'm not heartless, I have a heart, it's just not beating," I insulted. After a few ragged breaths, she stated, "Jonathan and my parents weren't in the vision."
"You seem perturbed," I mocked. Of course, they weren't dead, death would be too easy for any Lowell. "Unlike you, I have empathy." Her will is strong, it would be more than an entertainment to break the one and only, Queen Felicity.
"Why would I give you the advantage of knowing your family's state of being?" I laughed at her. She doesn't need to know that her wretched family is breathing poorly at this second. That would only give her the hopes of getting out which clearly, will never happen.
"Why are you keeping me here, Dimitrius?" Her fortitude is amusing, not a single cell in her body backs down from me.
"Because I can."
I circled her, stalking Felicity like she's my prey. Every time I inhale her scent, her soul like fire fills my nostrils. Yes, I can detect what they feel.

A blazing soul is as strong as a ferocious mind and a discerned mind. Those are the three things that a Lowell never have yet here she is, standing in front of me, proving my fallacious belief.
She searched my eyes as if waiting for an answer. For a human, Felicity is truly beautiful. Her features are ravishing and as exquisite as her personality but I wouldn't give into her alluring body. The moment I laid my eyes on her, I have always reminded myself, she is a Lowell.
"You're keeping me here for a reason."
Indeed.
But she doesn't need to know my reasons. "Maybe I just want to," I told her. Obviously, she didn't believe me and disagreed.
She didn't oppose to what I have said. Instead, her eyes left my glare and she started walking towards one of the tables.
I watched her stomp her feet, causing her heels to make clicking sounds. What was she doing? Felicity glided her fingers over the weapons on my table.
She picked up the dagger and played with it carefully. It would be stupid of her to think that she can kill me with a dagger.
"A death by a dagger is what you're planning to do to me?" I laughed at her idiotic plan. Desperation, that's probably eating her.
"I wouldn't give you the ascendancy of keeping me just because you want to."
Before I knew it, my actions reacted involuntarily. "No!" I screamed as she plunged the dagger into her chest.
Using my vampire speed, I ran to catch her body before she fell to the ground. Blood poured from her stomach and it took all my control to keep myself from indulging in her.
Bravery. That's what she held before deciding to take her life in front of me. With one swift motion, I pulled the dagger out of her chest and bit my wrist.
"Felicity, I need you alive," I told her before letting my blood heal her wounded body. She can't die, not until she's of no use.
I held her lifeless body as I stormed out of the throne room, ordering my guards to send the doctor to my chambers and heal her.
While she was in my arms, vampires shot their hungry looks on Felicity. The blood that seeped out of her body gave the sweetest scent I have ever smelled. I knew that it took all of their self-control to prevent themselves from draining Felicity's life out of her.
The doctor was already in the room as I laid Felicity on the bed, not caring if she stains it with her blood.
I stood outside, next to the other guards because the doctor had to take Felicity's clothes out and I had the respect to not look at her bareness.
"Why didn't you just compel her memories away?" Hayden, my first-in-command asked.
I could have done that but I didn't. Wiping out her memories would be like erasing who she is and that wouldn't serve her purpose.
"I will, once the prophecy happens."
A few hours passed and finally, the doctor said that she is fine. I went into the room and saw her lying down peacefully.
"Felicity, not even death will take you away from me. I am inescapable," I whispered to her unconscious body.

Thank you so much for 600 reads! I know that it's still too low but it means so much to me. Anyways, here's a Dimitrius' point of view in a longer chapter, I hope you enjoyed it as much as I had fun writing it. Please, follow, vote, comment, and share!
1.) What do you think of this chapter?
2.) What do you think of Dimitrius' point of view? Should I stay on writing Felicity's point of view?
3.) How did you react to Felicity's attempt of killing herself?
4.) Do you think Felicity will break?
5.) Tell me about your ideas of what might happen next! What 'reason' and 'prophecy' was Dimitrius talking about?
Don't be shy, flood me with your comments, I really would love to hear your insights. See you on the next update!

Almost a Good Person
A memory, a memory of a boy who wanted more than pain, of a girl who wanted more than death, and an Isle that should not exist. The Isle of Red is a small, unassuming, quiet place. It is just large enough for a college, a small town, and maybe even a few more unusual sorts of places. Of course, the townsfolk practically know each other as family. Flush-faced regulars can be found toasting just about anything in the Briar's Brew, then, a few streets away, the same haggle of older women stationed themselves on their perch as they did every day from one of the few balconies in Central Square. They fuss away now, spouting the usual gossip as they watch us all from on high. Then there is the College here on the Isle of Red. My college. It has been often described as an unusual place by a good deal of people on the mainland. If they only would visit -why I am sure they'll soon have a change of heart, they may even come to find it a quaint sort of place, odd but in the same way a tattered old quilt can be both odd looking and warm, and especially soft. We teach mostly the same sort of disciplines here, with fantastic and absolutely normal professors.I must conclude that I am quite smitten with myself. The stage is set with a level of perfection that would have astonished me in my youth. They are coming. Derek will follow her. He knows the weight of reality too intimately, but she will be his true north if only for a short time. A beacon in the storm to show him the stunning pastels and brightness the sun may yet refract through his thinner, sharper pieces. Theoline will lead as she always has- well not always, not yet. She holds onto questions feverishly tight, that one. Lights them up inside like a new type of fuel without the slightest worry of being burned. She knows... There is but a certain few who can look at a map and find nothing where I stand but the Atlantic Ocean. And still, there is earth beneath me, a noisy pub down the road from me, and several people clucking conspiratorially on a balcony above me. She knows... that the Isle of Red doesn't belong here. Neither, technically, do I. (Hello! Don't worry.] Hello! I'm Lire, and this is my first fiction! I know its going to be rough around the edges. But I'm trying my best to improve day by day. I hope you're patient with me if you do give this fiction a try! Correction suggestions are appreciated. Same with grammar corrections. English isn't my first language, so it would help me improve. I'll try my best to make as few mistakes as possible though! Constructive Criticism is very welcome. Anything to make my first brain-child, the best it can possibly be!! If all you do is diss it, without providing anything constructive, I'm ready to pour whatever creative juices I have on making up insults for you, your mother, and all your Ancestors! ...as long as I don't feel particularly lazy at the time. Also, if your diss makes me laugh while also being true, you get a pass too. I'll even give you rep. By the way, this work will be heavily influenced by (English TLed) Japanese Light Novels and Korean Web Novels. I mainly read that kinda stuff after all. With minor influence from Wuxia and Xianxia. Really, just a little though. Oh, and Harry Potter which I read repeatedly when I was a child. If you hate those types of novels, then please piss off immediately. I don't want to waste your time. Now, If you do like them, then please give my novel a shot! *bows*
