Marko just had to aggravate the cops again, tonight was supposed to be when you two got alone time- not that you didn't like the boys. As you sat at the bar, lazily stirring your drink, you couldn't help but feel annoyed that the one day you both could be alone is when he got in trouble with the law- AGAIN. Worst of all it had been Paul who told you about it! His excitement didn't make it any better so you decided to go to the bar anyway.

It had been a bad mistake the next night as you awoke to the horrible tell tale nausea and symptoms that followed. Wiping vomit from the side of your mouth, you rolled over and lazily stared at the pale ceiling. Part of you felt petty for being mad at something so small but it wasn't that he did it, more so that he disregarded your wishes to spend time with him. Keeping on the down low wasn't that hard and you had seen the boys stay inconspicuous when they wanted no needed to be.

There was a tap at the window and when your eyes travelled to the noise, you glared. Last night you vaguely remembered revoking Marko's invitation. You supposed it had been an overreaction on your part but you had been seriously ticked off.

“Come on, let me in!” Marko watched from under the half lowered blinds, no doubt wanting to be let in. His large puppy eyes were focussed on as you he quirked a blond brow. He almost looked confused, that was until you gave him the finger.

He called your name again more persistently when you rolled over to ignore him. That meant business to him, usually he would just come inside anyway but for some reason he wasn't able to- an occurrence that lead him to believe that you had uninvited him. A coldness swept over him and for the first time in his immortal life, he regretted the drawback of having to be invited.

“No don't turn around!” Marko began to panic. You had never revoked his invitation and it freaked him out a little. His temper flared when you didn't give him the time of day. It was big for him and despite his blatant fuck up as Paul had put it, he didn't expect you to go so far as to use his limitations against him.

Nails dug into the stone ledge, enough to leave little marks but not enough to crush it if he really wanted to. Marko had to remember that you were still human and humans were all over the place, especially his girl. Patience was a virtue and he was certain that the junkyard down the road would still be there should he need to take out his frustrations. Frustrations that were heightened by vampirism, another drawback of his kind.

There was no way Marko was going to make it worse but mouthing off so instead he decided he would try and wait you out. Surely there would be no way you could be that at him? “I’m just gonna stay out here and hang out you till you talk to me.” He spoke, certain that you would give in and jsut talk to him but when seconds stretched to minutes, he was getting restless. Marko wasn't known for his patience like Dwayne or David which was why after a small amount of time that felt longer, he gave in. “Oh come on, it's boring being out here by myself doll, why are you bein' so cold?”

There was a few seconds of silence but his supernatural ears picked up the rustle of sheets before there was a creak of the floor.

“Cold!” You scoffed, temper getting the better of you as you practically stormed over to the window. “You ignored my request yesterday or do you not remember? I specifically asked you not to get into trouble.” You stood inches from the barrier between you two and contemplated ripping up the blinds just to tear into him again. It was incredibly thoughtless of him and you weren't going to let it go. Before you were tempted to do so, Marko said, “I didn't doll face, Officer William had it coming, you heard what he said.” He tried to downplay it but you both realized you had something and he didn't.

“So what! We only had yesterday to ourselves.” You leaned your forehead against the blinds, there was something about how he had made you feel that let the anger die down- in it’s place disappointment and frustration. “I can't count on my hand how many times this month it was just us two. Fuck... I’m allowed to be upset Marko.”

You heard a sigh and the blinds had pretty much covered his eyes at this point. Marko didn't think this was how this was going to go down. Paul had not been kidding when he mentioned you looking bummed out. Marko didn't think it would be this bad and your words had helped him realize that yes it had been a while since the two of you were alone, just the two of you. His boys and Max could be a handful and that was coming from an immortal.

Marko chewed his lip as his thoughts ran wild. Surely now that tourist season would be over soon, they wouldn't have to watch themselves as much- maybe Paul as that stoner had no sense of control. His fingers which had been drumming against the window sill slowed and he felt half tempted just to turn back and leave you alone for a little- it was clear you were upset with him and he didn't like that. With a sigh he spoke, “I know you’re allowed to be upset babydoll, and I'm sorry I didn't listen.” It was hard for him not to argue but he could smell the impending upset rolling off of you in waves. Marko hated seeing you upset. He frowned and heard a sniff when you didn’t respond.

He felt like shit.

“I can make more effort doll face and I want more time to ourselves also. I’ll discuss with the boys later, but I promise you we'll spend more time together.” He promised but he didn't feel very confident when he couldn't see you so he decided to ask again, “C'mon I don't like seeing you upset baby, please let me in?”

There was a click and then the heavy window shifted, seconds later the blinds rolled up just enough.

“You you mean it?”

“Max can eat shit for all I care.” Marko promised and he meant it, he hadn't known how much it affected you until now and now that he did know, he was willing to step on toes.

“What about the boys? Won't they want you for something?”

“Nuh uh. Especially not tonight.” Marko tapped his forehead, the universal sign of ‘already told them.’ You accepted it but previous contradictions made it difficult. You could count on your hands how many times you were both supposed to have date nights until something came up.

“Are you sure-" Marko leaned in pressing his lips against yours gently, hand cupping at your cheek before he lead you backwards. You sighed into him, hands weaving into his soft blonde curls as you enjoyed the gentleness he rarely showed.

When Marko pulled back he took in your heavy eyes and made a note to remember this if anything were to come his way again. Sure he had the boys but he wanted you also and if he remembered correctly, your induction into the living dead was soon enough. “Anything for you baby girl.” He smoothed your unruly hair down, smirking at the dishevelled look you were rocking.
