《Fangs That Kill - (Lost boys imagines book 3)》Pregnancy series (Lost Boys) Paul Headcannons - Human mate dies during birth

A/N - The last part! Warnings- harm to baby bump and copious amounts of grief. ❤❤❤
-----
· Paul was both ecstatic yet freaked out about the birth. Complications were apparently higher than he thought when you were both planning out how this was going to work. Hospitals were out of the question as they didn't know what the baby would come out like nor did they feel it was a good idea since they could potentially get exposed.
· Paul was on edge throughout and as a result spent his time with you either in his lap, his head on your growing stomach or with you in his arms. No one dares bump into you whenever you convince Paul to take you out.
· It's all kind of impulsive with him. Paul just wants to make sure you're comfy and healthy even if it means stealing a few blood bags along the way. Turning is pushed heavily also due to his fear of the possibility of you dying due to a complications. Paul wasn't that stupid and he knew that if something were to happen that none of them really knew what to do aside from the basics. None of them were trained doctors or nurses despite David and Dwayne's experience centuries ago with their sisters. It was different times and even Paul would admit that he doesn't even know what half of the needed equipment were even called let alone what an ultrasound was only that it was a cool xray camera thing.
· The moment he feels the baby kick is when it becomes even more real for him. There’s literally a Paul junior in your tummy and he can't help but gloat about it and keep his hands all over you and singing
· Planning for the arrival is easier said than done and the main thing that Paul really got right to your amusement was all of the silly baby clothes and tiny shoes along with a built crib he and Marko spent a week making ad a surprise. Of course in true lost boy fashion, it was jazzed up and punk looking.

· Everything was exciting up until you were ready to pop. A month or two before the guestimated due date you had gone with them for dinner at a nice little restaurant you had been craving. All it took was some unruly customer to open the door too fast as you were rounding the corner and before Paul could stop it, the heavy glass had painfully slammed into your bump.
· It is a shit show after, Paul attending to you and shouting at the aghast man who had done it. The boys lead the guilty man away as Paul attends to you. You were pale and sweaty and next thing he knew the stench of blood was overwhelming- your blood. His eyes are wide and he's screaming for help as blood begins to pour down your legs.
· With no other choice, he’s forced to lead you to Max's video store and into his site’s office as the store is promptly shut. “It's gonna be okay baby, I've got you. It's gonna be okay but you gotta stay with me.” Paul would grab at your hands and plead for you to look at him. Eyes lulling into the back of your head wasn't a good side neither was the gurgles whispers as your legs are having to be held up to assess the damage. Max wasn't the most trusted but in that moment he assesses that you would need a C section it's a whole mess of tears and arguments of you being in pain.
· It was grim and unfavourable as Max quickly slits into the stomach and carefully as possible eases the baby out but not at a cost. The blood loss and trauma was too much and the boys could tell that if they didn't speak the wounds soon that you would be a goner. Paul tries to coax you through the overwhelming pain with hypnosis but that only went so far. His touches weren't keeping you grounded and aware. Neither were the gurgled cries of the freshly born baby as a bloody worst was forced between your parted lips. It was 50/50 on whether or not it would work but even then Paul refused to remember the slim restrictions of turning. If the person was dying and significantly less oxygen was getting to their brain, it was less likely that the blood would work. Your breathing was not stable if barely existent.

· When your eyes shut and a hand touches his shoulder, he knows that it's game over. Paul is hard on himself. Thinking that he failed you, even after the boys try and reassure him that none of them could see it coming but he still insists he should have been the one to open the door for you which could have prevented what happened.
· Caring for the baby is difficult at first with the grief still wrecking havoc over his body but after a swift kick up the ass he knows he needs to do better for his child. They were the only thing left in this world that was part of you, even if you may reincarnate.

Unbound Deathlord: Challenge
Due to Amazon's Kindle Unlimited rules, I had to pull most of the book content from RoyalRoad. Only sample chapters remain. To read a fiction that will never be removed from Royal Road, I recommend my other fiction: Immortal Conqueror. The first two books of the series are out on Amazon: Book 1: Unbound Deathlord: ChallengeBook 2: Unbound Deathlord: Obliteration Book 1: Challenge When virtual reality becomes real enough that people feel as if they’re being transported to another world, Valia Online arrives.A man running from his past joins the game to forget it all. Calling himself Jack Thorn, he chooses an undead race, Deathlord.A mage by choice, and a swordsman by necessity, he soon finds out that he’ll need to use much more than magic and steel to survive; strategy, creativity, and carefully chosen words can often accomplish what simple attacks can’t.As the game becomes too real and touches a part of him that he’d rather leave buried, he is faced with two questions:Who is he, really? And who should he become?
