she becomes serious now that I broached this important topic, and I let her know all the truth. "Well, at first they were worried and skeptical about this because they're old-fashioned and very romantic, so to them, it is impossible to love more than one person, but they listened to me, and they both explained that they're not against it, they're happy as long as I am, but they both need to know you more to be more at ease with this situation because they know Hojun, they know he's never going to do anything wrong, but they never met you, so no matter what I told them about you, they're a bit apprehensive about your intentions and honesty, but don't be worried about this. They will love you, they just need to see you in person."

"I understand, don't worry. My parents were very worried about it, and I'm not gonna lie, the faces they had when I told them I was with you both, they were..." she expresses some negative emotions. "They didn't look good," a laugh escapes her. "And my dad was not okay with the news at all, he's scared that you might be using me or that it's just out of sexual fantasies, so I really told them that they don't have to be scared because you both are good, so like, they're not against it, they just want me to be happy as well. So yeah, they asked to meet you both too."

"Hm, I'm not surprised. It's normal for them to feel that way, so we should think about when we will meet each other's parents, Hojun will be scared to death to see your dad because...like...well, we know how dads are with their daughters, and I'm kinda freaked out as well, but we'll do it, and we'll be honest with them," I give her my point of view on this, and we both agree on the same opinion. "Yeah. My dad is not mean though, so there's no need to be scared of him. He does look scary at first sight, but he's just very protective of me. My mother will make sure that you're both comfortable."

"I can't wait for it, to be honest. It's always...a special moment," I smile, meaning my words and knowing how important this step is in a relationship. "True. I feel excited about it too."

"Let's just hope everything goes well," I do not let the apprehension defeat me already, and she nods.

— Three days later —

.

"Here we are," I stop the car in front of y/n's house, my heart racing, and the urge to pee suddenly appearing from out of nowhere. "I'm gonna faint," Hojun panics on his seat after talking nonstop during the whole ride out of fright. "Calm down, it's fine. We're not gonna have a talk today anyway, and as she said, her dad is pretty chill and won't do anything bad, okay?"

He does not answer, obviously not feeling good. I unbuckle my seat belt but keep my eyes on him. "Do you want to stay in the car?" I suggest him to do, seeing how frightened he is about this meeting. He nods with no doubt, so I grab my phone. "Alright."

[ we're here, are you ready? >

I send the text to y/n and wait for her to answer before getting out, so I check up on my boy, who is still shaking. "Why are you scared of her dad?"

He toys with his dangling earring but avoids my look. "He's a man. Her father, and I don't know him."

I do not ask what this answer means since I know the reason for him to say this. I reach out for his hand and hold it. "It's alright, just take a look at him from here, and you'll meet him another day," I caress the back of his hand to relax him, but y/n answers me.

[ I'm coming, I want to see your parents and not seem disrespectful. Hope your dad's not gonna give me a death stare until I leave:') >

I smile but leave my phone on the dashboard. "Y/n's ready, so I'm gonna meet her parents and carry her stuff here, alright?"

"Yes," he hears but gazes in my direction to have his eyes on the front door of her house. "See you in a few minutes," I press a kiss on his hand and open the door to get out. I close it and stick my cold hands in the pockets of my black puffer jacket to proceed through the snow and head up to the house.

I am not going to pretend, I am nervous as ever, but I need to do this and break the ice, otherwise, I will never be able to face them.

My body finally standing in front of the front door, I clear my throat and knock on it. My heart is punching me but nearly knocking me out at this point. I need to take a deep breath in and out.

Too late, the door already opens.

My eyes instantly land on y/n's ones, but the tall man next to her intimidates me with nothing but a look. "Hey," she steps forward to hug me, and I return this warm gesture but do not know where to put my hands without offending her father. "I missed you," she moves back to not make it too long. "I missed you too," I shyly respond, but I set my attention over her father to bow to him. "Good morning, Mister—"

"Jungnam, you can call him by his name," she already shatters the glass between us, but I do hesitantly pronounce his name. "Jungnam..." I bow to him again. "Good morning, are you Jungkook? Or Hojun?" a deep voice startles me, but I act like it did not cause anything.

"Jungkook," I answer him, I hold my hands on the front of my body, and he stares at me. "Hojun is...in the car," I point at it. "He's just very scared."

"He's okay, right?" y/n asks me, but I reassure him to make sure she does not misunderstand it. "Yeah, don't worry. He's just not familiar with this, and I'm pretty sure his legs would have wobbled if he was here."

Her father chuckles through his nose. "I wanted to see his face," he crosses his arms over his chest, making me fear that he might request to see him. "You can come with us to the car to help with the luggage if you want, but don't annoy him, okay?" y/n allows him to do, and he nods. "I like this idea."

"I found the cream, y/n!" a female voice echoes through the house, and both of them turn around. "Oh, thanks!" she kills me and leaves to head towards her mother, her father never taking his piercing eyes off of me while I am acting like I do not know.

"You'll take good care of my daughter, alright, boy? he asserts in a lower voice, making himself clear. "Yes, Sir. I will."

"I just wanted to tell you, in case you try to do something you might not want to know the consequences of. If my daughter gets hurt because of one of you, you'll regret it, understood?" he threatens me like I expected him to do. Protective fathers are all the same, they all turn into murderers once this concerns their daughter's safety and heart. "We love her a lot, Mister Kim. None of us will hurt her or try to. She makes us happy, and I promise we'll treat and give her all the love she deserves."

"Good," he puts a smile on his face now that y/n is back, but while she is putting her jacket and shoes on, her mother greets me. "Good morning, Jungkook," she already knows my name, so I bow to her but see how way more welcoming and gentle she is. "Good morning, Miss Kim. It's nice to meet you."

"It's nice to meet you too," she beams and makes me feel more relaxed. "Be careful on the road and take care of my daughter while I'm not there, okay?"

"I will, I promise," I give her my word too, hoping for them to be more trusting in the future and understand that I am honest with their daughter. "I should go now, I can't wait anymore," y/n nudges her way between them in a cute manner, pulling her two luggage to bring them with her but stop at the doorstep because of the snow. "I'm taking care of it, don't worry," I push the telescopic handle down to be able to grab the top on and pick them both up. "I'm bringing the rest," her father does not give up on following us, so I bow to the mother to say goodbye. "Thank you very much for allowing me to take your daughter on this trip, I promise I'll take care of her and pamper her a lot."

"I trust you, Jungkook," she looks at me, a smile never disappearing from her face. "Hope you'll enjoy your time over there."

"Thank you very much, have a wonderful day," I nod and peek at y/n to see what she is doing, but she says goodbye to her mother and gives her a hug, so I leave with the two heavy luggage in my hold to go back to the car, where Hojun is.

Once I get there, I move behind it to be in front of the trunk, and I put one luggage down to be able to open it. Without looking in the direction of the house, I hear y/n's father get closer to me, so I remain as chill as I can and put the luggage where I can.

I am lucky that my parents have a big SUV car, otherwise, I would never have been able to bring all this stuff with us.

"Well, this is already full I see," the father stands by my side, and I nervously laugh but straighten my back. "Yes. I'll put the bag in the back," I check on Hojun, who, for some reason, moved in the back seats. He must be sweating so much at this right moment.

"Is the light brown-haired boy I see Hojun?" he notices my poor baby boy, and I nod but close the trunk in a careful way to walk towards the door in the back and open it, but since Mister Kim is the one holding the heavy bag, I peek up at him to know what he is doing. "Do I put it over here?" he asks me, heaving the item up. "Yes, please."

He leans forth to place it down on the leather seats but remains in this position to take a closer look at Hojun. I hope he is not going to have a panic attack.

"Good morning," he moves his hand up to cup the frame of the door, and my baby's small voice that is full of anxiousness barely resounds in the car. "There's no need to be scared of me. I'm kind with people who are."

"You're even more scary when you say that," y/n brings some soothing relief with her presence, and she enters the car to get on the passenger seat. "That's not true."

"Yes, it is. Leave him alone, he's barely awake," she tries to chase her father so that he does not focus on him anymore, so he sighs but gives a break to my baby's heart. "Alright...I can see that his face is all red, so I won't annoy him anymore," he remarks but smirks, probably trying to release the tension.

I cannot help but smile, and I close the door. I step back to touch the handle of the door that I am about to open to join y/n and Hojun, but I look up at Mister Kim before doing so. "Thank you for allowing this, Mister Kim," I bow to him, not counting the number of times I am doing it since I want to show him my respect. "I trust y/n, I trust her decisions," he points out as if he wanted me to comprehend that I am not the one he put trust into for this.

I nod, not knowing what to say after this.

"Have a good day, be careful on the road. Do not make me regret this," he hides his hands in the pockets of his trousers, and I bow one last time. "I won't. Have a good day as well."

My eyes follow his body since I am soon done with this stressful moment, and he bends over but knock on the window to look at his daughter and wave at her. Then he walks back to the house, so I open the door and get into the car, finally.

I sit down without saying a word but notice that y/n is in the back, hugging Hojun, who is crying.

"Are you okay?" I ask him, wondering if this is because of the father or because he missed her. He nods to me, and y/n presses a kiss on his cheek, tells him she loves him, and she comes in the front to be next to me. "Why are you crying?" I cannot figure out.

"He said he missed me a lot," she answers for him, and some relief spreads through my veins. "Oh," I smile but lay my eyes on her. "It feels good to be able to see you in real life," I look into her eyes, those beautiful ones that I missed having on mine. She leans forward and gives me a soft kiss on the lips to fill my stomach with butterflies. "I feel the same way. I'm so happy right now," she does not hide or conceal the joy we cause her, and she buckles her seat belt on to tell me she is impatient to be on the road.

I am so happy as well.

"How long is the ride going to be?" she takes her phone out as I turned the ignition on, and I check in the back to make sure Hojun has his seat belt on as well. "About four hours, so don't be scared to sleep if you want to."

"Sleep? When I can finally talk to you and touch you? I'll sleep tonight when you both are," she states in one of the cutest manners, and my laughter runs away from my lips. "Then stay awake, I like this more too," I turn the steering wheel with one hand while the other is on the gearshift, and I get on the road to our new temporary house.

She has no idea how excited and delighted I am about this. I missed having her next to me so much that I feel like I might be a bit clingy for a few days.
