This was it. This was the finals of America's Got Talent. Virgil Black was still in it and Roman was voting any way he could. He convinced everyone he met on a daily basis to vote for him, including his dorm mates. All he wanted was for him to win.

They had the live show up on the TV and the princely young man was pacing back and forth again. Logan sighed as he did so, rolling his eyes. "Roman, I don't understand why you're so nervous about this, this doesn't even have anything to do with you," he pointed out, gesturing to the television as they showed the guest performers and highlights of the season.

"Logan, Virgil is his internet boyfriend! Of course he's nervous for him!" Patton scolded.

At this, his cheeks lit up and he began to stutter. "He- We're not romantically involved... or anything, we just talk a lot," he said as he averted his eyes. When he looked back up at them, they were staring at him with skepticism clear in their gazes. "W-What?"

"You're so deep in denial it hurts," Logan replied. "You were just messaging him hearts literally an hour ago."

"So?! Platonic hearts are a thing!" he argued.

They rolled their eyes. Roman flushed and marched over to the couch with a pout on his face. He pulled out his phone and opened up Instagram, scrolling through his most recent conversation with the singer. They weren't wrong. They did talk like they were dating now but that had to just be a coincidence, right?

roman-prince: Hey Virge, how you feeling?

It only took Virgil a few minutes to reply, which didn't shock him in the slightest. It was while he was waiting backstage during these episodes that he responded the fastest. He was always anxious, and talking to him evidently helped.

virgil.black: not good princey i feel like i'm gonna pass out

roman-prince: Hey, hey, it's gonna be okay. Take deep breaths in through your nose. Do you have the worry stone I sent you?

virgil.black: of course i do why wouldn't i have it? i always keep it with me...

roman-prince: Aww I'm so glad you like it that much, is it helping?

virgil.black: yes... it keeps me thinking of you even when we're not talking...

roman-prince: Does that mean you like me Hot Topic? <3

virgil.black: of course i do princey why would you even ask that? <3

He flushed and giggled a little, hugging his phone to his chest. Logan and Patton looked over at him before sharing a look between them. They obviously knew that they were talking just by looking at his reaction.

A few minutes later, the first elimination was about to happen. Roman watched as Virgil along with the other three contestants walked out onto the stage. He looked like he was about to cry. He was trembling even visibly on camera and the princely man spotted the small purple stone in his clenched hand.

"The act coming in fourth place is..." the host said as they began to slowly open the envelope.

Roman muttered under his breath and crossed his fingers. "Please not Virgil, please not Virgil, please not Virgil," he whispered.

It wasn't, making Virgil on stage visibly sigh in relief before going over to hug the fourth place winner goodbye with the others. They left the stage, leaving only three acts remaining. The next elimination went by and left Virgil and one other act standing on stage. The host got ready to announce the winner and Roman thought his heart my burst out of his chest with how fast it was racing.

"And the winner of America's Got Talent is..."

He held his breath, seeing the singer on stage doing the same.

"VIRGIL BLACK!!"

The emo sunk to the ground as he began to cry, looking absolutely overwhelmed. Roman yelled and cheered as he ran around their dorm with excitement. Patton was doing the same while Logan clapped a little with a smile on his face.

"HE WON!! HE WON!! HE WON!!!" the princely man yelled, jumping up and down as tears started to prick his eyes.

He looked toward Virgil on stage who was trying to recover from the emotions he was being overwhelmed with. He was standing back up and wiping his cheeks as tears flowed down them. The host walked over to him and gave him a big hug before pulling away and giving him a microphone.

"Virgil Black, you just won America's Got Talent, how do you feel?" they asked.

"I... I don't h-have words," he stammered through his tears. "I never in my life thought I'd be able to do this, but I proved myself wrong when I auditioned and the risk to push myself certainly p-paid off."

He continued to wipe his eyes as the crowd screamed. "What the first thing you're going to do with a million dollars?"

"Fly to Florida and meet the guy I've fallen in love with!" Virgil cheered with a wide teary smile.

The audience burst into another deafening round of applause and cheers. The host wrapped up the show and the episode was over, leaving Roman standing in front of the TV with an expression of pure shock on his face.

Virgil was going to come to Florida to meet him because he was in love with him.

"But he's not your boyfriend," Logan said sarcastically.
