《sander sides oneshots [slow updates]》burn [logicality and prinxiety]

virgil and roman walked into the room, holding hands when they saw patton and logan outside by the fireplace. virgil noticed tears running down patton's cheeks and rushed over to his side. patton glared over at logan and said, "don't take another step closer, i can't be trusted around you." virgil's eyes widened, realizing what this was about. "i am burning the letters you wrote me. you can stand over there if you want, i don't know who you are. i have so much to learn. i'm rereading you letters and watching them burn.."
virgil rubbed patton's back as patton cried, reading over the now bittersweet letters. "you have married an icarus.." virgil said, glaring at the back of logan's head as he walked over to roman, not wanting to stand alone. "he has flown to close to the sun."
for a few minutes, it was quiet. no one said anything. patton was trying to put together words to form his emotions. it was very hard, knowing there was another man who was with your husband in your bed that you sleep on. "you published the letters he wrote you. you told the world how you've brought this man into our bed. in clearing your name, you have ruined our lives!"
logan took a breath in and went to say something when he was cut off by virgil. "heaven forbid someone whisper 'he's part of some scheme' your enemy whispers so you have to scream!" virgil shouted, holding himself back from not getting into logan's face.
patton chuckled darkly and said, "i know about whispers. i see how you look at my brother.." roman gasped as virgil did. virgil was confused, he always had a small crush on logan but had no idea logan even thought of him more than a brother-in-law. roman was livid, that was his virgil. knowing that logan might have tried to suduce virge, or might attept to in the near future got him riled up. "i'm erasing myself from the narritive. let future historians wonder how i reacted when you broke my heart! i'll watch you burn!"

logan began to cry. he knew he had no right to cry, not after what he had done but knowing one fucking mistake with that thomas guy and now he has ruined his life. why did he go to that bar, why did he let himself fuck everything up!?
he sat in the living room, staring at his hands. did roman hate him? would patton ever forgive him? did he make it that obvious about virgil? does virg- "logan." his head shot up and he saw virgil. virgil's face was unreadable. "congratulations."
logan tiltled his head, he didn't understand what did he do to be congradulated. "you have invented a new kind of stupid, a 'damage you can never undo' kind of stupid. an 'open all the cages in the zoo' kind of stupid. 'truly, you didn't think this through?' kind of stupid." virgil growled, walked closer to him. "let's review, you took a rumor a few, maybe two, people knew and refuted it by sharing an affair that no one has accused you of!"
"virgil, you have to understand-"
"i begged you to take a break, you refused to! so scared of what your enimies might do to you, but you're the only enemy you ever seem to lose to!"
"it was an act of political sacrifice!"
virgil tilted his head, looking up at logan through his eyelashes, "sacrifice?" virgil lauged a little, lifting his head and looking logan dead in the eye, "i languished in a loveless marrige in london, i lived to only read your letters. i look at you and think 'god, what have we done with our lives and what did it get us?' that doesn't wipe the tears or the years away, but i'm back in the city and i'm here to stay!"

logan looked down, regretting his choice of words, "do you know what i'm here to do?" logan had a small smile on his face then, and he went to reply when virgil cut him off. "i'm not here for you! i know my brother like i know my own mind, you will never find anyone as trusting or as kind, and a million years ago he said 'this one's mine' so i stood by do you know why?"
"d-did you actually like me, virgil?" virgil avoided his question and walked towards him, so he backed up until he hit the wall.
"i love my brother more than anything in this life! i will choose his happiness over mine everytime! patton is the best thing in our life so never loose sight that you have been blessed with the best 'wife'." virgil said wife in quotation marks, though this wasn't a joking matter he had to use an old joke so he didn't punch logan in the face. the two of them started crying, and virgil began to walk away to patton out in the back yard when he paused again at the doorway, "congratulations, every sacrifice you make is for my brothe. give him the best life. congratulations."

Where is the last place you want to be when the zombie apocalypse begins? In a cemetary, digging a grave, of course - which is exactly where Gary finds himself when his world is abruptly initiated into the multiverse. And that's just the start of his problems. Due to a technical error, Gary doesn't get the same character sheet and upgrades as everyone else. Nope. Instead, Gary gets classified as one of the undead. He's a zombie now - except, Gary didn't die. And he doesn't want to, either!A LitRPG/Gamelit story of what happens when one man armed with a shovel takes on the undead hordes threatening to overrun his reality. Combines zombie apocalypse horror with pen and paper style RPG game mechanics. Updates are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at just after 6PM UK time / 11AM PT / 1PM EST . I've set up a Patreon account here: https://www.patreon.com/gravediggergary if you'd like to support the story and read up to 15 chapters ahead. All support is very much appreciated! The underlying system on which the story runs is a work in progress (like the story itself!) so there may be adjustments to character sheets etc as the novel rolls out. Spelling and grammar are British English unless I mess up in which case it's just gobbledygook (please feel free to point out any typographical mistakes or obvious errors, I appreciate it!)Finally, this story is cross-posted on Scribblehub. 8 80Re:The Worst System Leveling Turned Me Into A Zombie
Before I reached Lvl. 100, they called me Death God Hei. But when I broke the limit, the System punished me. It cursed me to become this monster. I woke up as a Lvl. 0 again. Dying only brings me back to a save point now. But I don't go back until I die twice. First I suffer as a human, then I hunger as a zombie. The worst part is...I still have to watch when that thing takes over my corpse. I call it the Gray. I can't do anything even when it's hunting down those I'm trying to save. Sometimes, I wonder. When I level, I swear I can hear a voice speaking to me. This thing...can it think? It's like Re:zero crossed with SAO, Solo Leveling, and Tokyo Ghoul Re:The Worst System is a dark, 1st person timeloop story where the main character is slowly driven insane by his ability to respawn at a save point. However, each time he levels, there's a possibility that the next time he dies, the zombie inside him will become too powerful for anyone to stop. So he has to level up a harem...ahem, others, to fight for him against the System. Oftentimes, Hei will get trapped in repeating death loops which are truly terrifying. You've been warned...please don't read if you're not willing to see the darkness all the way through. The light on the other side may be a long ways away...I'll be trying to post on Thurs/Sundays, but honestly, depending on how I'm feeling, chapters could come out at some wonky times. This is based on a true story about a young girl battling an eating disorder. The book follows her journey as she gets worse and worse and the illness takes over her as a person. If you're reading this and have or do suffer from an eating disorder, I hope you recover and don't take a turn for the worst. You are beautiful inside and out and the one thing you may think is doing good for you is actually destroying you. I'm not saying it will be easy but you will get there, stay strong.
