Kiba Inuzuka and Shino had a mission from the Seventh Hokage to hunt down someone for an old lady: L/n Y/n. A supposed to be fairy. It was located in the Land of Clouds, which was indeed high up with many mountains and constant fog. Though Akamaru and him didn't dare to believe they existed.
As the three walked towards the town, Shino listened to Kiba's constant remarks.
"A fairy? Heh, no way! I don't believe it." he mumbled, crossing his arms. "I've read about mythical creatures being a thing here in the land of Clouds. Some include nymphs, dragons, and other things...." Shino mumbled. Scoffing at his remark, he looked up. "Could you say what this mission was about again?" Kiba asked.
"The lady descirbes that a gang of theives had captured her daughter, Y/n. She's a fairy, as you know, and was claimed to be able to have ninjutsu abilities, like medical ninjutsu and earth element, but also kekkai genkai. Because of her species, many people have tried capturing her. This time, they were lucky, but usually she can handle herself, it says. It's been a month since then."
"Some weak fairy then." Kiba mumbled, frowning. "It doesn't add up." he told him, Shino's eyebrows creasing in and nodding in agreement. "Right. We'll need to further investigate..." he told him.

Kiba knocked on the door loudly as they waited out the door. Akamaru sat on the floor, his tail tapping his best friend's leg. Once the door opened, a woman with h/c and kind eyes with wrinkles opened it. "Oh, you men must be from Konoha. Come on in, I'll lend you something to help track her down." she said, opening the door wide for them to come in.
As they waited in the living room, the three of them scanned the room. "What if..." Shino mumbled, looking at the door. "...she wasn't taken by a gang?" he asked. "What do you mean?" Kiba asked, looking at the door himself.
Ten locks were on the door, along side a camera. Realizing what he meant, Kiba's eye widened. "Could it be, she's the theif herself? And that this so called fairy ran away for a purpose?" he asked him. Before Shino could reply, Akamaru's soft bark alarmed them that the lady was back.
In her arms was a hair brush, perfume, and kinds of stuff.
"This is some things to help with you search. Thank you for looking for my precious daughter." she told them. Akamaru's nose twitched as he simply sniffed the aroma of what was placed on a coffee table.
"How old is she?" Kiba asked her in a serious tone. "Around you age...twenty or so." Shino asked the next question. "If she's old enough to live on her own, then why is she living with you?" he asked. "Oh, well, the child simply has a warm heart and didn't want to leave her poor mother alone. She loves to help around."

The lights turned off, the old lady not being effect as Shino and him looked aorund. "I'll fix it in one minute. If you please," she said, walking past them. When she went to turn the light on, a green orb came from her palm, placing it into the light switch before it turned on.
"Does she have any nearby relatives?" Kiba continued.
"No, no, they all had passed away due to over using their majestic powers."
After further questioning, they both left the house.
"She definitely is hiding something, Shino." Kiba told him before walking ahead.

Y/n woke up the the darkness of the hotel room she found herself in, yawning loudly as it echoed. Her wings stretched out themselves while her human limbs did the same. "Day....32 of freedom..." she mumbled in a sleepy voice.
Her long dress and silk flats were put on as she got ready for the day. The sealing jutsu on her wings that disabled her from flying was finally fixed, but feeling the gentle breeze against her back while her wings moved was still unfamiliar. To make things even more new, Y/n still hadn't mastered the art of flying.
Walking out onto the balcony, she glanced at all the soft white clouds nearby, floating above and below her because of how high the mountains were. Thanks to adaptation she got used to the way her ears felt, or the fear of falling. Stepping on top of the balcony's railing, she took a deep breath.
"One...two...three!"
With one jump, her wings widened out to their (favorite color) tint, her h/l hair out of her face as she kept falling. For a second, she believed that maybe she wouldn't be able to catch herself.
"OH COME ON! WORK GUYS!"
Seeing another lower cliff near her sight, she closed her eyes tight, trying to move them forcibly against the wind.
And then....flight.
Y/n felt herself catching herself, opening her eyes as she glanced behind her wings, giggling at her save. Flying higher up, her body relaxed. No more forcing her to work day and night to keep the energy for that woman, no more nothing.
She looked down at the lower mountains, some of them having trees, and a few even have mini lakes on the plateau of those.
What interested her the most was that two men with a dog were following her, too.
Turning around, she stopped moving left or right and kept her ground. Kiba Inuzuka raised an eyebrow, looking at Shino.
"Well that's stupid of her for just LITERALLY flying in open sight, eh?" he told his partner, who only raised his arms. "Let's just get her down, Kiba." Shino told him. But the young fairy had something else in mind. Creating a couple of hand signs, a green orb showed in her hands.
"Fairy Art: Hearth of the Flower!"
Both of them barely dodged the green orb, Akamaru simply jumping on Kiba, who fell because of it. "Akakmaru!" he whined. "That orb, it looks exactly like that one the old lady pulled out." Shino told him.
"We're not here to harm you! We just want to speak with you!" Kiba shouted, cupping his face. The female stared at him for a good minute with a serious expression before going down to the floor.

She walked a bit closer to them, but far enough they could not reach and grab her. "What is it you wish to speak with me about?" Y/n asked them.
"Some woman is looking for you-" Shino was saying, a green orb coming from her palm again she widened her eyes. "-However, it seems we cannot accept it. Something isn't right here."
Kiba nodded in agreement. "He's right, person with wings..." he told her. "Name's Kiba Inuzuka, my best friend here is Akamaru, and this guy's Shino...You can trust us." he said in a serious voice.
"Did she even tell you guys what she's done to me?" she asked, crossing her arms over her chest. Shaking their heads, Kiba tapped his foot gently onto the rocky surface of the mountain. "Well, I don't feel like explaining it right now. In fact, I don't even want to go back. So unless you have anything else to say, just go back to the place and let her know I was killed." the fairy said, walking away.
Shino's fabric on his face moved as the skin of his chin wrinkled into a frown. "I'll further investigate her, and see what happens. Kiba, you stay with her to make sure nothing happens."
Nodding, Kiba watched his teammate disappear as the bugs circled him.
"A fairy, huh."

Noon was creeping on time, so during that time, Kiba and her walked around.
"So you mean to tell me you've never set foot outside of your home?" he asked. Y/n nodded, looking at the village not to far. "I'm supposed to be some prized possession or whatever. Just because I'm a fairy doesn't mean I don't have feelings..." the girl murmured. Her gaze looked down, something hiding in those happy eyes. Kiba stared into them before trying to cheer her up.
"I still don't believe you're a fairy? Oh please- they don't exist!" Kiba said loud and ignorant, a smirk appearing on Y/n's face. "Oh really. I'll prove it to you-" she was saying, opening those shiny and beautiful wings as she grabbed his hand. "W-What're you doing, Y/n?!" He asked, hearing her laughter almost double over his voice.
"Proving it to you. Though I'm a bit rusty!"
Within five seconds, both of them looked down at the ground as Akamaru whined, jumping up and down to reach them. "H-Hey, let me down now! Anyone can fly, just like the Tsuchkage!" he complained, blushing greatly as her smile widened.
"Would you prefer to meet a dragon instead of a fairy?" Y/n asked, Kiba gulping as he paled a bit. "N-no! But still!" he said. "Okay, Okay, okay, I believe they exist. Can we go back down now?!" Kiba asked.
"You're cute when you're flustered, Kiba Inuzuka." you said, giving him a closed eye smile while he pouted. "A-Am not, whatever you are!" he whined, only making her awe more. "Y-You're cute too, but don't anyone I told you that!" he added, smirking at her blush appearing.
While they landed back down, Shino stood next to Akamaru, a serious aura around him. "We cannot return Y/n back to the place. The old lady left the house, and when I went inside the house...I saw something Y/n might know more about. It was a cage with several sealings on it, as well as used chakra chains."
Y/n felt shivers go down her spine, goose bumps all over her arms. "Y-Yeah...that place.." she said, nervously laughing. Kiba nodded, frowning. "We'll speak with Naruto about this, and he'll see what to do. Maybe he'll give her a home. "
Just when they turned around, they came faced to face with the old woman. "Oh! My dear, beautiful child!" she squealed, walking towards Y/n. A look of terror filled her eyes, backing away from her.
"You killed my parents! Leave me be!" Y/n told her, hiding behind Kiba. He growled, alongside Akamaru. "I'm afraid we can't let you, ma'am. Her life is not yours to take claim of." Shino said, standing strong next to Kiba.
"What are you saying?! That I, Mabel, am using her? Nonsense!" she said, glaring at the four with she pulled out a summoning scroll. Moving her thumb upon the symbol, a giant beast appeared out of the scroll. Why, it was not a ninja animal but rather just some wild animal she managed to tame.
Kiba looked at Y/n. "Akamaru, get her out of here while you have to chance-" he said, looking over at his large companion as he barked, running towards them. "Hey! I can fight too!" she told him, a hand going over her head.
"I know you can...b-but I just don't want you to get hurt. So just don't try flying above us or getting yourself in trouble!" Kiba mumbled, ruffling her hair as he watched her go on Akamaru, puffing her (skin tone) cheeks out.
"Whatever..." she said, sticking her tongue out before AKamaru ran away with her.
~
Y/n's head rested on the soft fur of Akamaru, a soft noise of the lake they were near ringing in her ears. Sunset. She didn't know if they would return.
"When do you think they'll be back, Akamaru?" you asked him, knowing completely well he wouldn't answer back. He licked her forehead, whining quietly. When he sniffed the air, AKamaru stood up, the excitement going back to his tail as it wagged, slowly walking towards the treeline of the mountain.
Out of the green plants was Kiba and Shino. Without even saying hello, you charged at Kiba, leeping on to him for a hug. "Woah, Y/n!-" he said before falling backwards, landing on the soft grass.
"You know, you scared me when you were gone!" Y/n said, her wings opened as the fluttered slowly enough for Kiba to feel his stomach twist. Shino walked away, going towards the lake.
"Really now? I thought fairies were cold people!" Kiba teased her, looking up at her.
Both of them blushed to notice the position they were in, however Y/n didn't mind. She leaned towards his face. "At least you're okay now." Y/n told him, placing her forehead on his. Blushing more and more, Kiba gulped. "S-So what, baka..." he said.
Getting off of his toned body, Y/n helped him up, her wings closing in.
"I believed in you from the minute I saw you." she whispered.
