《The Dark Apprentice: a teen titans fanfiction》The Pain of Betrayal
Advertisement
Before long, I became bored and began to meditate. A few hours in, I vaguely heard Robin come into the room to gloat, saying how ive been beaten and i would never escape.
Well. I was caught. I was beaten. I was captured. I was betrayed by the man who taught me.
No..
A pain in my chest made me grab at my heart.
Slade betrayed me?
The pain intensified, making me grunt and curl into a ball.
It cant be true.
The pain eased slightly with the denial.
Slade betrayed me..
It came back like a punch in the chest.
He left me to die.
My blood boiled with rage.
After all ive done for him.
My eyes glowed red.
He actually left me to be captured.
My cell was engulfed in darkness.
Ill kill him..
I began to grow taller.
Ill kill them
The metal began to bend outward under the pressure.
ILL KILL EVERYONE!
My powers over darkness exploded with the intensity of my hatred. Contrary to Robin's belief, the cell that was holding me was torn to shreds.
I levitated out of the remains, and began floating down the hall to the Titan's Trophy room. My sword is bound to be there. Approaching the sealed room, I crossed my arms and in a slashing motion, ripped the wall open.
Strolling inside, a reached out my hand and looked at my sword. Immediately, it rose and flew into my grasp. Feeling the familiar handle comforted me a bit, but it did nothing for my intense hatred of Slade.
"PUT IT DOWN RAVEN" a voice, a very obnoxious voice, said from behind me. A voice that made me want to silence the owner.
Without turning around, I said "Or what Robin? You cant beat me" I stated in my monotone.

"We have defeated you before, we shall do it again!" Starfire exclaimed. Beast Boy growled and changed into a lion. Cyborg stayed silent and stared at me. He was probably the closest to me on the team.
"Well. Thisll be fun" I said with a demonic grin. I saw the others recoil. They knew what that smile meant. I was pissed and wanted to kill someone. Preferably someone in a black armored suit. Someone who wore a black and orange mask.
Someone named Slade.

HUD: Wargame (Sci-Fi GameLit)
★★★★★UNFRIGGENBELIEVABLE!!!!!! "HUD: Wargame is a sci-fi GameLit worth reading." -TienSwitch ★★★★★Rock-solid FPS GameLit. "Nic - the main character - is an ambitious, hyper-competitive perfectionist, and the story fortunately handles him correctly in that it does not push these traits too far." -Akaso ★★★★★This is a good one! "This is one of those stories where you read the first few paragraphs and can just tell that the author has the chops to tell a story. It's engaging and the rules are well thought out and clearly explained. The action is punchy and exciting. Anyway, read it." -HonourRae In the future, everything is a game. Even war. 18-year-old Nic Sigfried wants the high score. Virtually piloting a real-life robot, he'll face off against his peers with the help of his AI guidance system, RTIFIS. The prize? New worlds across the galaxy that are ripe for human conquest and terraforming. It sounds glamorous on paper, but this job might be more dangerous than he thought... HUD: Wargame is the first of a five-part sci-fi series featuring GameLit elements. HUD: Wargame contains some (simulated) violence and very sparing PG-13 profanity. Updates Monday-Thursday-Saturday.
