《Return • Todoroki ff》Chapter 8

"Niko? Are you okay?"
"Yea of course I am," I answered sarcastically and rolled my eyes while I rubbed my heel. Shoto shook his head as he walked over to me.
"You don't look okay." Just as I was about to reply, he squatted down to examine my feet.
"Wh- what are you doing.." I asked. At that moment I could feel the blood rush to my face and my ears as I became as red as tomato.
"It looks pretty bad. Your skin is peeling off.. How about I carry you to my agency and help you treat the wound? It's not that far away," He suggested as he stood up and faced me.
"But won't people start to question my identity? It'll become a burden for your management department, they're gonna hate me if you carry me."
"Hm so I take it that you don't disagree to what I am about to do next?"
Before I could reply him he picked up my heels and princess carried me.
"Niko do me a favour and hold your heels," He said as he gave me my heels and started walking like whatever he did wasn't a big deal.
"Todoroki! Put me down!"
"No can do princess. Anyways, you can't walk even if I put you down so just hold on tight if you continue to argue who knows what I will do to shut you up."
After he said that I remained silent. I certainly did not want him to do whatever he was going to do to me in public. This was embarrassing enough. Thankfully it was the weekdays so not many people roamed the streets but it didn't help that his duel coloured hair was so noticeable I swear I noticed some people turning our way because they recognized him as the Pro Hero, Shoto.

As the journey towards his agency continued more and more people turned to look at us. Not wanting to be seen I buried my head in the crook of his neck and closed my eyes.
Although I knew his agency wasn't that far away, perhaps a 5mins walk from where we were. However, while he was carrying me I felt like it was going to take an eternity to get there.
After a few minutes, they arrived at Todoroki's Agency. As they walked in pairs of eyes started to turn away from their computer screens to watch in awe as their boss carried an unknown female in his arms and walking towards the lift.
Of course, humans would not really be described as humans if they did not gossip. So as their boss walked further the whispers started.
"Who is she?"
"Is she Todoroki-san's girlfriend?"
"I thought he was single??"
"Oh man I thought I could have a chance with him."
When Todoroki and Niko disappeared into the lift the whispers slowly died down and everyone got back to what they were doing before.
"Todoroki can you put me down? Aren't we in your office already?" Niko questioned and Todoroki placed her down on the couch located near the centre of his office.
After he placed her down he walked over to his table and opened a drawer to take out a first aid kit.
"Why do you have that in your drawer?" Niko asked when she caught sight of the first aid kit Todoroki
"Niko did you forget my occupation. I have to keep a first aid kit here all the time just in case I get hurt and it's not convenient to go to the hospital to get treated."
Taking the first aid kit Todoroki walked over to Niko who was still seated on the couch. He opened the first aid kit and started treating her wound.

"Hey! Be gentle for goodness sakes."
"If I wasn't gentle I would've poured the ointment onto the wound and wouldn't bother using a cotton bud to dab it," Todoroki stated as he continued treating her wound.
"Niko where do you want to go for lunch?"
"Anywhere is fine you should've known me long enough to know that I am indecisive Todoroki."
"Will Korean food be fine?" Niko nodded as a sign to show that she was fine with it.
After cleaning Niko's wound Todoroki closed the first aid kit and placed it back in its original place while Niko wore back her shoes.
"Aren't you scared that rumors are going to arise in your agency?"
Todoroki looked at Niko as she said that and shook his head as an answer.
"Let's go eat then," Todoroki said as he grabbed his wallet and opened the door for Niko to walk through.
Niko bowed her head as she walked out of his office to the elevator with Todoroki following closely behind.
As they walked out to the lobby the whispers began once again.
"Hey, I researched about her just now. That woman is the daughter of Reo Hitori, Niko Hitori she came back to help manage her company's chainstore."
"Doesn't that mean she is super successful?"
"What's her quirk? What school did she go to?"
"Apparently it's plant manipulation. She was also from UA."
When Niko and Todoroki walked out of the building the whispers died down once again and everyone went back to what they were doing before they saw their boss and a woman walk out of an elevator.
"Where are we going?"
"Somewhere you know." That was all Todoroki said as he led Niko down a path which she didn't recognize.
"Are you sure I know this place?" Niko questioned and Todoroki nodded his head in reply.
The journey towards the restaurant was quiet after that with the two adults walking side by side. Not long later they reached the restaurant and Niko glanced up to read the name of the restaurant and realised that Todoroki was right when he said she knew the place.
The restaurant was frequently visited by the pair and their friend group when they were still students at UA.
"Ah.... It brings back the memories....." Niko whispered as Todoroki once again opened the door for her.
After walking into the restaurant they found a seat and sat down. It wasn't long until a waiter came over to ask for their orders.
"Mm I would like a plate of tteokbokki and tea how about you Todoroki?"
"A bowl of cold soba."
"Is that all?" The waiter asked and the pair nodded.
The waiter repeated their orders before walking off to the kitchen to send their orders to the chef.
"Wouldn't it be nice if we could have a class gathering here?" Niko asked.
"Haven't you heard? We are having a class reunion this Friday," Todoroki questioned.
"Yea I know I heard from Izuku. I met him when I was on my way home from checking the new chain store my father wanted me to be in-charge of."
"Oh I see.. So will you be going to the reunion?"
"Yea I will."
Awkward silence was in the air once again but thankfully it disappeared when the food was served.
"I guess the food here never changed," Niko said as she took a bite out of her tteokbokki.
Todoroki gave a nod in reply as he ate his soba. It was silent once again but of course the silence was gone when someone called out to the pair as they walked in.

Lost Things
"In this disordered continent, where everyone seeks to be the heroes of their own tales, there are still some rooms for smaller stories to breathe." "Past, present, and future—keep your eyes open, and see where they lead you to." This story follows three housemates’ lives: Carson Calding, Virgil Barion, and John Salore—onto their adventures of finding Carson’s past, Virgil’s present, and John’s future. Despite their clashing backgrounds and circumstances that forced them together, they’re definitely going to find the things they had lost, for sure. Each entire chapter will be updated biweekly. There'll be three smaller parts per each chapter. Note that this story was written to be an interactive one, with polls at the end of each parts deciding on what happens next. Though, the polls for this story won't be available on Royal Road updates. (I also upload this in Arcane Odyssey forum, and it's currently the only place where I open the polls and use the poll results from.)
