《First Love (YoonMin)》Chapter 6

"I'm so proud of you, Yoongi! You actually composed a song for once!" Seokjin, Namjoon's boyfriend, signs to him. It's a little iffy, some movements are incoherent, but Yoongi understands the praise. After all, he only just began learning sign language from Namjoon.
It was the first song Yoongi had composed in years and now he was about to perform it live. It was quite exciting for Jimin and Taehyung too. When the media found out that Yoongi had composed something, the ballet had sold out in a few hours. Everyone was anticipating Min Yoongi's return to composing and had to witness it first-hand.
"Thanks, hyung. I'm glad you could make it. I know you're busy."
"Are you kidding me? I wouldn't miss 'Min Yoongi's long awaited return to composition' for anything! I can't wait—"
"Min Yoongi? Where's Min Yoongi? We need you on set!"
"Looks like it's your time, Yoongi. Good luck!"
"Thanks, hyung, but I don't think I'll need it."
☙
"Welcome everyone!" Taehyung steps onto center stage, spotlight highlighting his angular features. "My name is Kim Taehyung and I'd like to welcome you to 'First Love.' The plot of this ballet was written by me and it was choreographed by Seoul Dance Academy's very own, Jung Hoseok. It also features a piece composed by Min Yoongi. I hope you enjoy the show!" Taehyung steps off the stage while the audience cheers.
When the first note rings from the sleek grand piano Yoongi sits at, the whole theater goes silent. Jimin steps onto the stage wearing a flowing white blouse and slim-fitting black slacks. His dark brown hair is parted neatly in half as he assumes the first position of the dance.
☙
The last song arrives sooner than Yoongi had hoped. Yoongi had really enjoyed watching Jimin dance, somehow conveying all the emotions Yoongi couldn't understand through the music. Unfortunately, Yoongi knows he has to play the final piece: the largely anticipated original song. Yoongi doesn't feel nervous, only excited for Jimin's solo.

So, he plays the first C. Jimin carefully follows the beat of the song, choreography easily flowing out of him as if he was born to do it.
Eventually, Yoongi plays the final C. Jimin stops in-time with Yoongi's song, arm posed the exact way he had it the first time he showed Yoongi the choreography.
The audience cheers, and even though Yoongi can't hear them, the smile Jimin shoots him is enough.
☙
"You were amazing, Jiminie!" Hoseok throws his arms around Jimin's shoulders in a bone-crushing hug.
"Hey! Hobi-hyung! Jiminie is my cuddle-buddy!" Taehyung pries Hoseok off of Jimin before attaching himself to Jimin the same way Hoseok had.
Jimin laughs, "Thanks guys! I love you too!"
Jimin's cousin, Jungkook, walks over, hands Jimin a bouquet, and signs to him. "Good job."
"Brat! Come over here and give hyung a hug!"
"No! Wait! It's fine if you—" Jungkook's hands are stopped from signing when Jimin pulls Jungkook towards him by the waist.
Jimin hugs Jungkook tight, "I love you, Kookie!"
Eventually Jimin releases Jungkook and Taehyung releases Jimin. Jimin turns around to face Namjoon and another man.
"You did great, Jimin-ssi," Namjoon says, "Jin-hyung, please give him the flowers."
The other man hands Jimin a bouquet. "Hello Jimin-ssi. You did really well! I'm Seokjin, by the way."
"Thank you! Please feel free to call me Jimin, Namjoon-ssi and Seokjin-ssi."
"Alright, Jimin-ah. Please do the same with me," Namjoon replies.
"Where's Yoongi-hyung? Did he leave already?"
"Oh gosh no," Seokjin says with a chuckle, "he just got caught up with some reporters and such. It's his first song in years so, you know—"
Namjoon interrupts Seokjin, "Ah! There he is, hyung!"
Seokjin spots Yoongi pushing through the crowd and quickly turns Jimin towards Yoongi's direction. "Speak of the devil," Seokjin and Namjoon giggle, "I guess we'll get going. We still haven't congratulated Taehyung-ssi."

"Goodbye, hyungs!" Jimin waves goodbye before a hand grabs his. He could never mistake the slim and calloused fingers of Min Yoongi.
"Hey, Jimin."
"Hi, hyung."
"I got this for you," Yoongi pushes a flower into Jimin's hands. Jimin feels around it for a second before identifying it as a rose.
"Thank you, Yoongi."
Jimin expects Yoongi to grab the flower out of his hands to sign to him, but instead he speaks. Jimin could never mistake that deep and raspy, almost as if it had never been used, voice. He hears a short applause before Yoongi speaks, "Good job, Minie."

Conquest Of Mortem
*NOTE* This novel is a war of attrition. To say anything less is a disservice to its demand. While comparable to other such works as Ulysses or Moby Dick, each sentence in Conquest is an enemy to be tackled. Not in the ways of difficulty but in absurd density that wishes nothing more than to destroy what patience you may have. Do not tackle chapters as you would ordinary chapters in an ordinary book. Tackle each chapter as a book unto itself. A foe to be vanquished, a period of life to leave behind. Seek to be master of this work. Seek to overcome. For in its design is the willpower, and the perseverance, and the strength of someone who sought meaning in struggle. As I discovered these in times of ultimate desperation, so I hope for you to discover these things. This novel is a love letter to your trials. May you overcome them. May you master them. May you become conquerer.- SeedSagaA literary epic for logophiles, philosophers, and poets alike. A journey into zeitgeist, the impact of media on culture, and the endurance of morality against an onslaught of hatred. These vague descriptions do little to compact Conquest's density into a bite-size summary. They do however relate the basest themes found within. A plot, if such can be surmised, is strung thinly across multiple perspectives, weaving together these concepts into a seemingly distorted tapestry of indecipherable events. Inspired by early 20th century modernism, Conquest will challenge the reader, and provide critique on the medium upon which all great stories are derived. Further interpretation is up to you now; an explorer among a sea of words. Venture on and discover what lies ahead, in...CONQUEST OF MORTEM
