《First Love (YoonMin)》Chapter 2

Namjoon, Yoongi's best friend, sits across from him at a café. He reads over the music score that Yoongi had brought. He hums along with each note, undoubtedly searching for ways to improve it. Yoongi knows he won't find any, he never does.
Namjoon finally looks up, "I don't know what to say, hyung, I think it's beautiful. Why don't you play it at the venue tonight?"
"No, I still haven't edited it yet. Besides, this performance isn't supposed to be sad."
"We both know that's not true."
"No, the venue tonight is for a business social event."
"No, not that. We both know this song is perfect already, so why do you insist they always aren't?"
"These songs aren't meant to be heard."
☙
"Welcome, Yoongi-ssi, I'm so glad you could make it." A man, undoubtedly rich if the Rolex around his wrist has anything to say about it, greets Yoongi and Namjoon at the door of the venue. Yoongi only stares at the man as if he had grown another head before Namjoon jumps in.
"Good evening, sir. We thank you for the opportunity to perform for you tonight. If you'd excuse us, we need to set up now."
"Of course, Namjoon-ssi. The stage—" he gestures over to the corner of the venue, "—is right there."
Namjoon bows before grabbing Yoongi's arm and pulling him towards the direction of the stage. Once they reach it, he signs to Yoongi what the man had said. Yoongi only nods carelessly and asks if Namjoon could help set up.
In a few minutes, there's soft jazz music coming from the corner of the venue.
☙
At 9:00pm, a woman approaches Yoongi and Namjoon at the stage. Yoongi recognizes her from the crowd, but pays no mind to her as he packs up his sheet music. By the time he's done, Namjoon is bowing "goodbye" to the woman.

"What was that about, Namjoon?"
"She's from the Seoul Dance Academy for Ballet and Contemporary. She wants you to play at their next performance."
"Dance academy? Why would they need me? Can't they just play a digital track?"
"She says that live music would add to the overall atmosphere of the ballet. She also needs someone to compose a song for the solo performance."
"What's the ballet about?"
"It's about a man who falls in love with a lake spirit. It's supposed to be bittersweet because he trades his memory for her to become human. So when he can finally be with her, he can't remember who she is. The song you're composing is for the scene where the lake spirit tries to stop the man from trading his memories, but he does it anyway because he knows it'll make her happy."
"Wait... who said anything about me composing? I told you I don't do that anymore."
"You played an original today, how's this any different?"
"I wrote that before the accident."
"Whatever, hyung, I already said yes."
Yoongi glares at Namjoon the whole car ride home.

Of Life and Light
Home. By definition, such a word means "A place where one lives", but what happens when one is removed from their home by those with greater authority? One would seek out another place to live, of course. Karastak, a Devil King and a Fallen God of a world called Terra, was removed from his world by something greater than himself, and has journeyed to the world of Azzarath by way of Azazel, God King of the Azzarathean Pantheon. Perhaps she performed thusly through pity, charity, or a simple act of kindness with no strings attached. Regardless, he is deposited near a village upon a mountainous range within the world. There, he meets up with his Human family, a grizzled old Templar, a shy Cleric, and an apathetic Mage, that came to take him away from his troubles, but he does not budge. That is, until one of his servants speaks of finding a new home. However, perhaps instead of finding a home, he finds adventure instead? The story within is a Frame Story, which means it is a story within another story. In that this one is being told by three personages, a God King called the Ageless, a Lich King called Brutus, and a Goddess named Sarah. Each of them speaks of the Ageless's past self, one called Karastak, as he journeys onwards throughout the worlds within the Azzarathean Pantheon in search of something more.
