Third Person P.O.V
A small 4-year-old little girl could be seen running through the dark streets of Konoha. Behind her was a small group of adults ranging from seasoned shinobi to civilians.
The closer you got to the scene the clearer you could see the absolute fear in the small girl's eyes. Her face was wearing a scowl laced with fear and hatred.
She ran as fast as her small malnourished legs could take her. She was making good progress getting ahead of them until she was sent to the floor by a measly rock. In her stumble, she had momentarily forgotten to get up and keep running, and in those few moments the dreaded caught up to her.
They grabbed her by the shirt and gripped her tightly. She was roughly thrown onto the ground and her body hit the wall of an alley. Loud yelling bombarded her ears and a couple of the shinobi even started throwing things at her. She didn't see them coming, because of the daze that followed being thrown into a wall.
The various weapons were already seconds away when she turned. They struck her mostly on her body and a few in her arms, luckily she had moved enough to cover her face and chest. There weren't that many, well there were enough to hurt and maybe even kill someone her age. She didn't cry out though, she didn't even think she could make a sound if she tried.
One person came up to her and dug their nails into her shoulders yelling something to her, probably a threat, enough that she had to grit her teeth and fist her hands so hard to leave wounds to stop herself from passing out. She didn't want to know what might happen if she wasn't awake.

They continued to kick at her, some even spitting at and cutting her, until she was a bruised and bloody mess. She still hadn't cried or let out a sound though, whether it was the physical or mental incapability to do so was unknown.
Only three people remained, and two watched as the one, a metal headband resting on their forehead, used a jutsu to heat a kunai and press it into the young girl's wrist. That was when a sob broke through the little girl's throat and the sound seemed to snap one of the watchers out of their rage-filled trance.
She heard some talking, barely over the intense fog inside her mind, and was eventually left alone.
Why they left was unknown, probably because they were cowards.
They had removed the remaining weapons and left the girl to bleed.
This girl was none other than Naruko Uzumaki.

Author's Rant
Just a disclaimer, this is not and never will be a story. I just, noticed I have a bad habit of wanting to rant in my author's notes, and have decided that, instead of accidentally doubling the length of each chapter with the author's note alone, I will shove those long-ass rants here. It might contain spoilers for my stories, as I usually wind up ranting about different parts I'm writing. So, if you actually enjoy my rants...well, firstly, what is wrong with you? Secondly, welcome! Time to figure out what tags to stick on this. Also, as of the second chapter, I have decided to shove some of my story ideas here. So if you enjoy half-baked, unfinished stories, then I got those too. I think that adds that short story tag?
