After bidding the officers farewell, Mabel and Bill returned to town, along with Quentin Trembley.

"And then he spanked me with a paddle for hours. Long story short, George Washington was a jerk," Trembley finished his story.

"I swear, every word you say is making me lose braincells," Bill sighed.

Mabel shot him a stern look, before turning to Trembley. "It's been a pleasure meeting you, Mr President."

"I can say the same for you two," He said. "So, in return for my freedom, I'll be bestowing gifts upon you."

Trembley pulled out a top hat and handed it to Mabel. "For you Mabel dear, I am making you an official US congressman."

She put the hat on top of her original one, and smiled proudly. "I'm legalizing everything!"

"Sounds good to me," Bill said.

"And for you, Bob," Quentin said, to the blond. "I give you, the President's Key." He handed the object to Bill.

"Uh, okay," He replied, halfheartedly.

"I can't wait to tell Dipper and Will about our adventure," Mabel said. "Now, where are they?"

❇❇❇

"HAHAHAHAHA!"

Dipper sighed. "It isn't funny, Bill."

"Are you sure about that?" He chuckled. "Because from this angle, it definitely is."

"I can't believe none of these keys worked," Will said, holding up a bunch of keys in his cupped hands. "And I paid a lot of money for them."

Bill recalled something. "Wait a minute," He said, then dug inside his pocket.

He then took out the President's Key, and used it on the stocks. Immediately, it cracked open, and Dipper was freed.

"That actually worked," Dipper breathed, in disbelief.

"No need to thank me," Bill grinned, and the brunette scoffed in return.

Dipper then turned to his sister. "OK, mind telling me what you two been up to? Also, who is that guy?" He pointed to Quentin Trembley, who was starting a fistfight with a seagull.

"Put up your dukes, you feathered fiend! I will never return the cornbread!"

"Oh, he's the real founder of Zero Gravity Town," Mabel said, casually.

"What?"

"It's a long story, Pine Tree," Bill told him. "How about you? Wanna tell us why you got trapped in there?"

Dipper heaved a sigh. "It was because of a stupid llama."

"You mean this llama?"

They turned to the voice. Wendy stood in front of them, holding Lavender on her shoulders.

"Lavender! Thank goodness!" Will exclaimed, in relief.

The redhead placed the animal down gently. "I saw her with Gideon, then I punched him. After that, I went to find you guys. She really likes it when I carry her for some reason."

Lavender stepped towards Will, and started chewing his hair. He shrugged. "I missed you too, Lav."

"Thank you, Wendy," Dipper said, gratefully. "We wouldn't want Pacifica throwing a fit."

"What was that, you nerd?"

"Pacifica!" Mabel beamed, turning towards the blonde.

The lady stomped towards them, and whistled towards her pet. Immediately, Lavender trotted back to her and stood beside Pacifica.

"Shooting Star, this is your chance," Bill whispered to her. "Tell her about Quentin Trembley."

Mabel hesitated, before moving forward, and tapping Pacifica's shoulder. That drew her attention towards the brunette, and she sneered.

"What?"

The Guardian took a breath, before making a calm look. "Pacifica, I don't care what you think about me."

Pacifica's eyes widened. "What was that, you--"

"I do love this town," Mabel said, seriously. "And I care about everyone in it, that includes you, Pacifica."

The blonde lady flushed, and stuttered. "W-what are you--"

"And I'll do my best to prove it to you," The brunette said. "Even though you won't believe in me in the end, I will never stop caring about this town or you."

Pacifica's face was the shade of a cherry tomato, and she turned away so her back faced them. "You are so weird!" She screamed, then rushed off, with Lavender following her obediently.

"Mabel, what was that?" Bill asked. "I thought you were going to get revenge on that brat?"

Mabel shrugged. "Bill, don't you know that revenge is a dish served cold?"

"If you're gonna tell me it's like icecream, then yeah, it's served cold and sweet."

The female Guardian only ruffled his hair playfully, but they were interrupted, when Trembley approached them, covered in feathers.

"Friends, I am needed elsewhere, I bid you farewell!" He announced.

"We'll miss you, Mr President," Mabel said.

"I won't," Bill said.

"Goodbye! Trembley away!" He shouted, before jumping backwards, happening to land on a horse.

The horse neighed in distress, and took off across town. They watched as he eventually disappeared.

Mabel smiled. "Where do you think he's going?"

"I'm guessing off a cliff," Bill suspected.

Wendy rose a brow. "Wow, that was needlessly confusing. Anyway, wanna enjoy the rest of the day?" She asked them.

"Actually, Dipper and I are gonna head back to the realm," Mabel chimed in.

Dipper regarded her in confusion. "We are?"

She nodded quickly, then grabbed his arm and dragged him off. "See you later!" She called to them.

"OK, goodbye you two," Wendy called back, before beckoning the Cipher twins into town.

As soon as they reached a secluded spot, Mabel released her brother's arm. Dipper frowned at her sudden change of behavior.

"Mabel, what's going on--"

"Listen," She told him. Then, she reached into her blouse, and pulled out the document she found in the chamber. "I want you to look at this."

She handed the parchment to him, and Dipper examined it. His heart pounded against his ribcages, and his mouth grew dry. On the document, were a series of symbols, but the biggest one among them was the blood red triangle in the center.

"This is Kill's symbol..."

Mabel nodded, her expression growing worried. "What does it mean?"

"I'm about to find out," Dipper told her, determinedly.

Back in the realm, Dipper had spent hours decoding the document, until he finally had the full translated version.

"This parchment was written a hundred years ago by a village leader called Modoc the Wise," He explained to Mabel. "It says here that Kill approached him one day, promising him a paradise for his people with infinite possibilities. However, that was not the case, as Kill sacrificed his people one by one, to make room for the new Nightmare Realm."

There was a moment of silence, as the twins processed this with absolute horror.

"The Nightmare Realm?" Mabel repeated. "You mean that lawless dimension Grunkle Ford closed up years ago? I heard that place was so crazy, it destroyed itself."

"And it seems Kill is planning on making earth their new territory," Dipper said, gravely. "But, he needs Bill's help to do it."

"I still remember our first contact with the Nightmare Realm," She shuddered at the memory. "Bill managed to open the barrier, and it felt like the air was crushing me, I could barely use my powers."

Dipper nodded in agreement. "I have a suspicion that the rift to the Nightmare Realm is still open, we need to do something about it before it's too late."

"I still don't understand how Bill opened it in the first place," Mabel said, in confusion. "I mean, the barrier was armed with Demon repellent spells, is he that powerful?"

The male brunette froze, and his blood turned cold, upon realizing something. "Maybe, he didn't do it..."

Mabel turned to him with a strange look. "What?"

Dipper regarded her with widened eyes. "Mabel, the only ones who could open the barrier...are Guardians."

"Wait," She breathed, in disbelief. "Could it be that..."

"A Guardian opened the barrier for Bill," He said, feeling his stomach drop. "We have a traitor in our midst."
