《A Love Like This.... ✔》#6-- The Dinner. ✔

Life is short. Time is fast. No replay. No rewind. So enjoy every moment as it comes, and that's exactly what I'm doing right now.
Today was the last day of our trip. Last 3 days were a total bliss. After a very long time I had so much fun, enormous fun!
Next morning, Annie, Avery and I will be leaving for home. Sr. Mary informed me about that night when Avery went missing and by the thought only I felt like my heart was sinking in a deep ocean. So I was taking Avery with me. I know sister will take good care of her but I just can't take the risk anymore.
Meanwhile, Avery and Annie again planned something which I'm not aware of.
I'm ruling over the fashion world but at home the ruler is my daughter and my best friend. They don't leave me any choice, I have to obey their orders. Their ideas are reckless but they will never do anything that might purposely be harmful to anyone. And I love them to bits.
Now I am getting ready as I am told. It was already 7:30 p.m. and we were going to have dinner. I don't know where. Today's hosts are my daughter and my best friend. They have planned everything without my knowledge, I was told to just dress up pretty and show myself on time. I can do that...
The dressing mirror in my hotel suite, portrayed a woman of class, a loving mother, a best friend and definitely the ice queen.
A halter neck black dress covering me till my knees, feets adorned with silver heels and my hair fell in light waves.
Five minutes later, I was informed that the limo was waiting. I checked one last time in the mirror and then took my hand purse and walked out.
----------
"What have you got for me, Wilson?"
"Sir, we can't get the information that you've asked for. As we know, this lady has a very high social status, therefore all her personal data are highly confidential."
"Tell me something new, Will." I said bossily. After all I'm the boss here.
"Ah sir, we found out something funny, her employees and the fashion world refer to her as 'Ice Queen'. Her hometown is Kolkata, but reports tell us that she left her parent's home 6 years ago, and yes sir, this lady adopted a child some months back." Wilson spoke on the other side of the phone.

"That's it?" I ask, my face frowning in disappointment.
"That's it, sir." Wilson said in a very businesslike manner.
"Call me with some proper news next time." I snapped and hung up the phone.
I'm dead sure this lady is who I think she is. But proof, I need proof. I know I'm exaggerating the situation too much but I'm a lawyer, right? And this is about my best friend.
Don't ask me what I'm going to do with all these info's because I don't know myself. This is just to sate my curiosity, perhaps?
I'm glad that I'm not a cat, otherwise I would have got killed because of my curiosity.
My phone started ringing, the caller was Annie. A smile graced my face.
Last two years I've wondered that if I would ever get a chance to meet her again and here I am. Call me a typical romantic dude I do not care because I believe in fate. I had a deal with fate that if I ever meet her again only then I'll persue her, that'll be a sign that she is only meant for me. And, in the last two years, I have done whatever I was supposed to do with Life. I have lived as life had demanded me off, until she came again.
She is not like the other models, she eats like a pig and enjoys life, she is wild, she is just too good, she is... I really like her.
"Hey sweetheart!" I greeted, knowing very well she will get annoyed by my endearments.
"Hey Asshole!" See? That's my girl! "Don't be late! Its already 7:30."
"Missing me so much, darling?" I teased.
"You have only 2 minutes!" She hung up.
Five minutes later I was standing with Annie, where she booked us a table for dinner, by looking at the seats it seemed like more people are going to join.
I had no idea who were they until I saw them.
----------
"Hey princess." I caressed her long black hair, it was straight and silky.
"Polar bear!" Avery exclaimed.
"Polar bear?" I asked and chuckled a little.
"Yes, that's you." She pointed her small, thin finger at me and started giggling. I laughed at my new name.
"And you're my Snow princess." I told her. "So what is Snow doing here now?" I asked.

"I was taking pictures. Can you take a picture of mine in my camera, please?" She took out her camera and handed over to me.
Snow was wearing a red dress with white frills and her long black hair fell straight on her back. She looked incredibly beautiful and just like a princess.
I took some pictures of her in her camera and then I took pictures from my camera too.
I made her sit on my lap and again took a few pictures together. Snow kept on giggling.
"What is the time, Polar bear?" She asked.
"Its 7:30 p.m. princess." I informed her.
"C'mon we will be late."
Avery grabbed my hand and told me to take her to the left wing of the hotel. She was in a rush.
I did as I was told; who can deny this sweetheart after all? The left wing of the hotel was decorated beautifully with red lanterns, and in the middle was a five seater table set for dinner.
I saw Parth and the model. Parth called her Annie. Holding wine glasses in their hands, they were chatting and the lady was laughing.
"We are here." I informed Snow.
"We will have dinner." Snow smiled.
I waved at Parth.
"Hey man!" Parth greeted, excitement filled his voice.
"You planned this?" I asked Parth.
"No, it was Avery's idea. She wanted us to meet someone." Annie spoke. How did she know Avery?
"Thank you, aunt Ann." Avery hugged Annie, they both whispered something to each other.
Parth and I looked at each other with confused looks.
"Polar bear, you are my date tonight." We all laughed at what Avery said.
"Definitely princess." I took her hand and led her to the table.
"I want ice cream!" Avery exclaimed, clapping her hands to get everyone's attention.
"Sweetie, ice cream is after dinner." Annie told her.
"Please, aunt Ann." Snow ended up pouting and giving us the puppy dog eyes. Who can resist that? This child is overloaded with adorableness.
"Let her have, but only one." I said.
"But..." Annie tried to speak but Parth stopped her.
"Darling, what are you doing when you get back?" Parth winked at her, smoothly changing the subject.
Someone please tell me what's going on here? From when did Parth start flirting? Well, he is improving his skills.
"Ass..."
Before Annie could curse in front of Snow, Parth stopped her. "You will not want her to hear what you were going to say, sweetheart."
"You..."
This time I cut her mid-sentence. "Where is Ashna? She should join us." I suggested.
"I am here."
I heard a very feminine voice. She had the same pitch black eyes and the same spark like...
"Momma!" Avery jumped from her chair.
What? Ashna is her mother? But how is that possible? Ashna is not married. How?
Why do I care?
I turned to look at the woman. She looks exceptionally beautiful. My mouth hung open and I was awestruck.
My mouth opened and closed like a fish as she bent down to come to Avery's height.
"My baby." Ashna greeted Snow as they kissed each other.
"Momma, I want you to meet Polar bear." Snow pulled Ashna by her hands and towards us.
Our eyes met and I saw the same spark. The same eyes that I admired 7 years ago. Ashna resembles Ashu.
"Polar bear!" Avery introduced us.
Ashna laughed. "You are Polar bear?" She asked me and tried to suppress her laughter.
"Ms. Kapoor, I must say Snow has a very beautiful mom." I smirked.
A very beautiful smile appeared on Ashna's face. "Thank you." She muttered. Was she really oblivious to my open flirting or did she choose to ignore it? Maybe, she is used to it.
Rest of the dinner went with sneaky glances to Ashna, Parth and Annie's constant flirting.
My eyes were on two most beautiful ladies. One was my date, my Snow and the other one was her mother. This lady who resembles so much to the one woman I left behind years back but still she was imprinted in my mind.
I have never tried to go back. Don't ask me why, because I don't know the reason. Parth tells me that I'm scared, scared to face her. Maybe, he is right. Or do I regret? I regret what I did and now I want to make it all right? God knows!
But its high time now, I have to go back and find her. And that's what I'll do.
I'll go back. Back to my hometown.
But it's been seven years.... The doubts always linger.
