《A Fiery Love: A Charlie Weasley Love Story》Chapter 8: My Girl

I woke up feeling completely exhausted, but it was a good exhausted. I looked at the clock at it read 5:30 AM. I woke up way to early, but once I was awake there was no going back to sleep for me. I got out of bed and decided to take a long shower. The water was warm on my skin, and the smell of strawberries filled my bathroom as I washed my hair. I finished my shower and wrapped a towel around me. I searched desperately for my brush, but it had seem to be missing. I found a small comb and figured this would do. I dried off my hair and went to put some make up on. Instead of my bag being on my counter it was on the table in the kitchen. That’s strange… Did I leave it there?
I finished getting ready and walked out of the cottage. I was starting to feel a little paranoid so I decided to place a protective charm around the cottage. Once I felt safe I walked to the Institution. Charlie was waiting for me outside the doors. He noticed the concerned look on my face and walked over to where I was.
“Everything ok Izzy?” He began to look worried.
“I.. I don’t know… My hair brush is missing and my make up bag was in the wrong place this morning.” Charlie gave me a strange look. “Maybe I’m just being paranoid.”
“Well I have something to show you that will take your mind off this!” Charlie seemed excited.
We walked through the doors and he took me to one of the glass windows.
“Look!” He told me.
As I looked closer I noticed one of the eggs was moving, wait, no it was hatching! My eyes got bigger as more little eggs began to hatch.

“You want to help them?” Ask Charlie.
I shook my head excitedly. He took me into the room where he gave me some thick gloves to put on. Little by little the baby dragons were hatching. One little guy looked like he was struggling.
“You can help him you know!” Said Charlie.
I grabbed the egg and it was softer than I thought it would be. I saw a little crack and pulled a little part off. Inside I could see the little creature gawking up at me. The baby made a funny noise and I helped him finish hatching. The dragon was a baby Welsh Green, my favorite type of dragon. A big smile over came my face watch the little guy move around.
“What are you going to name him?” Charlie asked. “After all you are practically him mommy!”
I looked at him hard thinking of a cute name to give him. I decided to call him Baby, since after all he was technically my baby.
Charlie told me I could visit him everyday so he would get used to me. Baby was a little dragon compared to the others that were born that day, but that’s what made him so special.
After a long day of playing and feeding Baby I asked if Charlie would care to join me for dinner. I’d made something real fast so we can spend more time with each other. As we walked back to my cottage Charlie took a hold of my hand and gave it a quick kiss. I took the charm off the cottage and unlocked the door. Looking around everything seemed to be in place. I quickly made some ravioli for the both of us, something Charlie wasn’t used to out here.
“I’m so used to just making a few sandwiches then heading to bed. It’s nice to have a warm meal every once and a while.” Apparently he liked it, he went back for seconds.

When dinner was finished we sat on my couch and I grabbed two bottles of Firewhiskey. We laughed and talked about everything in our lives. We talked about Hogwarts, ex’s, family issues and drama. I even opened up about my ex-boyfriend Sebastian that broke up with me after three years of being together, and how I’d never met my dad and my mom refused to talk about him. Charlie was a great listener and extremely funny, but was serious when needed. He told me how he felt he needed to be strong about the death of his brother, but at times he wanted to just break down.
“I feel so empty sometimes. I feel bad that Fred and I were never as close as I had hoped to be. I have such a guilty conscience that I didn‘t protect my little brother.” His eyes seemed to glisten over.
“You know if you need to talk I’m always here right?” I touched his arm and gave him an assuring smile.
“It’s so weird… I’ve never really been into girls all that much. I always threw myself into my work. You’re the first girl I’ve ever felt this way about and it’s scary.” He looked down at his hands, embarrassed about what he said.
“So what are we Charlie?” I decided to just ask and get it over with.
“Well I was already thinking you were my girl? If I’m wrong just tell me!” He put his hands in front of him as if he was surrendering.
I grabbed his face and gave him and deep kiss.
“So I take it I was wrong?” He joked. I play hit him and we started laughing.
We looked up at the clock and it read 10:47 PM. Neither of us wanted this to end but we needed it to. We stood up and walked to my door.
“Thank you for coming over Charlie!” I smiled up at him.
“Anytime Sweetheart.” He gave me a wink. I felt my knees get weak. “I’ll see you in the morning.” He bent down and gave me a quick kiss.
“Goodnight Charlie!” And I shut the door behind me.
Charlie’s POV
As she closed the door I did this weird back bend thing and ran my hands through my hair. This girl had me wrapped around her finger. All I wanted was to be with her. It doesn’t even feel like we just met two weeks ago. I walked home whistling a tune my Mum used to sing when she was in a good mood. I loved this girl no doubt about it.
Entering my house a strange feeling over came me. Almost as if someone was watching me. I pulled out my wand to be safe. I searched my house and there was nobody but myself inside. I took a shower and hopped into bed. I laid there for a while just thinking about her. Her hair, her smile, the way her nose crinkled when she was joking with me. She was perfect and she was mine.
Isabella Jennings was My Girl.
With this thought in my head I drifted off to sleep.
