The lights went out

They went to sleep,

But little did they know

That I, that night

Cried myself to sleep.

Anxiety blocks out your words

Cracks up your vocal cords,

And stabs you with a bazillion swords.

Her silky hair runs through my fingers.

Her white soft skin covering her skinny body.

Her brown dark eyes throwing glances.

Her petite nose so small and cute.

Her small hands and arms on either side of her.

Why can't I be like her,

Or stand right at her side?

I walked away to see if you would follow.

You didn't.

I guess you don't care enough.

Guess you don't care enough to remind me,

That you're my friend.
