《Unexpected》[6] - beach party

Willow and Diane were on their way to a party. Diane and Willow have been trying to create a bond, they both wanted to get to know each other better, and have a good relationship, so Diane wanted to take Willow out to one of her friend's party. Willow had nothing better to do tonight, so she decided to go. It was more of a beach party. Willow never really fancied parties. It was just an excuse for teens to get drunk and do whatever they wanted without adults present.

Willow was in a casual dress, it was white with blue and purple little flowers on them. She also had her baby blue cardigan to keep her warm.

As they arrived, Diane talked to some friends for a bit, while Willow followed behind. Soon after, the two communicated, and got to know each other better. An hour later, Diane decided to help herself out with some drinks. She quickly excused herself and made her way to her friends. Willow knew how to defend herself, so she was okay with being alone. She knew that if a boy were to try something with her, her instincts would kick in, so she didn't have to worry about being defenseless.

Throughout the night, Willow walked along the beach, alone in her thoughts. She really didn't want to be here, but she knew how much Diane wanted her to come, even though she had ditched Willow to get drunk.

Willow never really had a problem with Diane. She actually really admired her. She admired the way Diane was. She was confident and beautiful. She also managed to capture Oliver's heart. Willow knew that Oliver was always busy with boxing matches, and such, in order to afford the bills, but she didn't want Oliver to throw his life away trying to take care of her. She was happy when Oliver introduced her to Diane. She was happy for her brother. Diane was actually really nice when Willow got to know her. She was happy that Oliver found someone that treated him well.

Oliver and Diane had been dating since their senior year of high school- about four or five years. They were very much in love. Oliver's eyes would always light up when he saw or even talked about Diane. Diane could ramble about Oliver all day and not get tired of talking about him. They made each other happy. Their mother would've adored Diane, and they would've gotten along well.

Walking towards the water, Willow accidentally bumped into someone. She didn't crash too hard, so she stumbled a bit, but she never fell. Before she even looked up, she felt that same warmth surrounding her, just like the night she went to the amusement park. She looked up and saw Maxwell.

She never really got a good look at him, until now. The sun was barely setting so she was able to make out his appearance.

Maxwell had dark brown hair, split in the middle, that stopped just above his eyes. His eyes were light brown, but light enough to be mistaken for gray. Maybe it was a mix of brown and gray, she couldn't tell. His eyes reminded her of pools of honey. Looking at him, she noticed he was a head taller than her, if not maybe more. He looked to be about 6'3, and she was 5'8. Maxwell was quite attractive. She wouldn't be surprised if girls were swooning over him, but by the looks of it, she could tell he brushed them off and never gave them the time of day. Glancing at his eyes, she noticed he was too distracted or thinking in his head to notice that she was staring at him.

Whilst she was staring at him, he was admiring and drinking in her beauty.

Willow had quite long dark brown hair. It was the length to her waist. She had dark brown eyes. In those brown eyes were the warmth of an eternal fire, as if somehow, they were the wood that could burn with golden flames in the rays of dawn. She was very beautiful to say the least. Something about her just seemed to calm Maxwell down. As if she was everything he could ever want or ask for. Again, he quickly shoved it off. However, he could tell that Willow was all pure and good.

Maxwell had nearly gotten into a fight earlier when the party started. Some boy had pissed him off and tried to push his buttons, which worked by the way, but Romeo was able to stop before Maxwell beat the boy up to a pulp. Everyone in town knew better than to mess with Maxwell. He had it all; power and money. They knew Maxwell could hurt them and ruin their lives if he really wanted to, so everyone tries to avoid him. That didn't mean there weren't boys who acted tough, try to entice him. Maxwell was furious. The boy managed to get under his skin, and he couldn't even solve his issue by punching the dude. When Maxwell was infuriated, he was fuming with anger. It wouldn't be a surprise if smoke started coming out of his ears and nose. However, seeing, or bumping, into Willow, made him calm down. Romeo noticed this as well, so he was shocked. No one had ever calmed Maxwell down like that before. Romeo decided to walk away as he didn't want to meddle, but stayed close enough to keep an eye on Maxwell.

He didn't even know her name. Yet she made him think and feel things. Things he never wanted to feel or experience. However, he was curious to know her name. He wanted to know the name of the girl who made him feel things he tried to avoid.

Just like the first time they bumped into each other, Willow quickly apologized. As soon as she was about to walk away, Maxwell opened his mouth. "What's your name?"

She looked at him before answering. She was curious as to why he would ask her something as simple as that. She knew he was never up for small talk. He didn't even look like he was. However, she answered him nonetheless.

"Willow. My name is Willow." She said softly before walking away.
