Willow was about to leave school by going through the double doors at the front as school was over. She stopped in her tracks when she heard something or someone.

"No, why would I ever date someone like Willow? Are you crazy? She's not my type, she's too sweet and innocent. If I were to be with her then it was probably some funny dare, but then again, you'd have to pay me to be with someone like her." The voice belonged to no other than Everett Smith. He was with a girl and his friends, and they were all laughing. Although, his friends looked rather uncomfortable as they just awkwardly laughed.

They couldn't believe it. Everett was talking bad about Willow, the girl who seemed to always make his heart swell and his bad days better. They knew about what Willow had done, but they thought it was too good to be true. The twins of the group, James and Jonathan, were quite fond of Willow. She always made their day better as she was a ray of sunshine. Mason was closer to her than the rest, except for Everett of course, he always saw her as a sister. While Dylan always loved to tease her as he found it amusing when she blushed from embarrassment. Everyone in the group thought of Willow as someone they could trust and confide in. None of them ever had romantic feelings for her as they always thought she was good for Everett, she made his smile and laugh genuine. She truly changed him. He was a player before Willow. Ever since they started hanging out, the boys noticed how he never gave anyone else his time of day.

Willow and Everett had a complicated relationship. Everett was the school's golden boy whilst Willow always kept to herself. Being the golden boy, everyone adored him and he had his ways with girls. Though, Willow never batted an eye towards him. Everett had been eyeing Willow from afar. He always admired her beauty, but of course, he would never admit that out loud. After a while, Everett decided to ask her out on a date, and they hit it off pretty well. Willow, being the kind-hearted girl she is, accepted his offer. However, she never really felt sparks, or an attraction towards him, like the ones she had read in books. They were never really public with their relationship though, as they both wanted privacy, but nothing was ever official due to the fact that they both knew taking the next step was going to complicate things, and people were going to start asking questions.

Hearing those words made Willow's heart break. She was devastated and upset. She did nothing, but shower Everett with kindness, and tried everything in her heart to make him happy, while he was over here, talking bad about her, behind her back.

What they both didn't know was that they were set up. The school's queen bee, Marissa Winters, had a plan to separate the two. Though they were private about their lives, Marissa knew something was going on between them as Everett's face would always light up whenever he saw Willow. She wanted him, but he wanted Willow. That bruised her ego badly. Her plan was simple. She would get Noah Jones, someone who wanted to separate the two as well, as he wanted Willow, to kiss Willow, and catch her off guard. Marissa knew Willow would push him off, but Marisa was smarter than that. She was going to stop the video right before Willow makes a move. It was all about the power of editing a video, so it would appear as if Willow had kissed back. Marissa, then, would proceed to send the video to Everett, knowing he would believe it and come running to her. In her defense, the plan worked great.

That day, Willow walked home, upset and heartbroken about the boy. Ever since then, Everett made it official with Marissa. She finally got what she wanted, and she couldn't be more happy.

Willow avoided them like the plague, but the boys that were apart of Everett's group, gave her a look of sadness and pity. They missed her dearly. She didn't want to make a scene as her mother taught her better than that. She was always told to be the bigger person. It doesn't matter what anyone says or thinks because at the end of the day, she can't help what goes through their brains. It only matters about what she thinks about herself. She decided to move on and forget about him as he would rather be a child and talk behind her back, rather than talk to her about it. That doesn't mean that she wasn't sad.

The day after she overheard Everett, she went straight to the cemetery. She wanted to talk to her mother, who died from a severe car accident. She couldn't be saved as she died from sudden impact. It was a stormy night and her mother was on her way home from work, when a car swerved into her. Both drivers were killed instantly. The roads were very slippery, which was the main cause for the accident.

Willow had missed her mother dearly, and tried to visit as much as she could. Talking to her mother gave Willow peace. It calmed her. She loved her mother more than anything. Although she couldn't reply, she knew she was watching over Willow. Her mother and brother were all she had. Her father had left her a few months after she was born, so she never met him.

Since she didn't have her father, her brother, Oliver, taught her boxing, as he was a good fighter, and fought at The Oasis every once in a while to earn money to support the both of them.

The Oasis was a place where people would constantly go for fights. The name was due to the fact that the place looked enchanting. The building was surrounded by trees. In order to get to the place, you'd have to pass the stone stairs. The main reason behind the name was the sunlight. The sunlight hit the spot so perfectly, the place looked as if it were from a fairy tale, but that didn't mean that the place wasn't dangerous. Oliver was one of the best, which meant that he was paid generously, more than enough to buy the two of them food and pay the bills. Oliver was close with the owner of the place, so the owner was very fond of Willow. They had grown very protective over Willow. So whenever Willow was over, the owner, Marino Romero, always had people watching over her, making sure she was safe at all times as the place did tend to have bad people who never knew their limits.

Willow never really liked hurting people, but she knew how to fight. She would only use physical strength when it was needed. Sure she looked innocent and harmless, but if someone were to try to hurt her, she knew how to injure them. She was quite strong and knowing she didn't look like the sort, she used that to her advantage.

Though her and her brother were loaded with cash, they always remained humble. They knew their mother taught them better, so they never really spent their money on unnecessary items. They were fine with their two story house. They were grateful for everything they had. They didn't need anything more or less.

While Willow was busy in her own little world, trying to forget about Everett, his friends had come to the realization that Willow was set up. They were relieved as they always knew she would never do that, but there was only one problem. Everett wouldn't believe them as he was stubborn and would think that his friends had turn their backs on him to side with Willow. They were determined to find out the real story.
