Those boys must have thought I was like 18, dazzled up in tons in makeup, wearing a dress that made me look like I was performing at a club. But no. ABSOLUTLEY NOT. I was Jennifer Alvera, a ALMOST FIFTEEN year old actress/singer/dancer goodie two shoes.

I live with my two younger sisters, my aunt and a father and cousin in a large house on Beverly street. My Mother passed away when I was nine, so I have been surviving without her for a while.

Being the oldest in the house, and since my aunt and my father had a full-time jobs, I took care of my sisters most of the time. Nothing I grieved about, I loved doing it and had no problem being responsible for it. Especially the cooking! No one has ever turned down my creations...yet.

The next day on Beverly Hills street, I walked a few blocks. A house caught my attention, It was large with a swimming pool and a basketball court. I hadn't noticed it before but I was too timid to go see it closer. So I kept walking, until someone opened the door. And then someone yelled, "HEY!" I turned around and saw that it was Michael, from the other night. "Oh wow! Hi!"

" Come up over here!" he urged, and I had the biggest smile. I walked up to his house, a bit nervous.

"What are you doing here?"

" Well, I had a bit of some free time so I decided to take a stroll." I pointed to my house, which had made mine look liks a small church compared to a cathedral.

" You live on Beverly Hills Street?"

" Sure do!"

" Wow," he smiled, and then it faded into a guilty grin, remembering last night, "I hate to keep apologizing but I really am sorry about what happened at the show backstage, I wanted to talk to you but my Dad wanted us to leave and I couldn't find you at all."

" It's all okay Michael, but if I catch you again you better watch yourself," He laughed. I noticed the basketball in his hand." Hey, you play basketball?"

" Sometimes, I'm pretty awful!"

" I have some experience, sports are so much fun during any free time I can get."

" Wanna shoot home hoops?"

" I thought you said you were bad?" I laughed.

" Doesn't stop me from playing the game!"

" Fair enough, sure then!"

"So your name is Jennifer?"

" Yeah! But you can call me Jeni." I smiled taking the ball from him and making a free throw.

" Were you born here? In California?"

" My family actually comes from Chile. But you're from Gary, Indiana right? You sang it in a song, I saw it on television!"

" Yeah, thats right!"

The front door opened again, and there were the brothers, and they smiled yelling my name, gathering around us.

" Hey!" they all shouted, "Jeni, girl, how are you? What are you doing here?"

" Doing good, and I just came to shoot hoops with Michael. I don't live too far, just about two blocks away!"

" You play basketball?" Jermaine asked.

" What's the matter? Never seen a girl slam dunk?"

" Well, then, let's get playin!"

It was quite a game; Jackie, Jermaine, Randy and Tito against me, Marlon, Michael and me. Every once in a while, during the game, particularly Marlon, would nudge me when they got the ball. It was the same way he looked at me last night. Then Jackie stole the ball, and I just laughed, " Maybe you are a dog, cause you're a foolin and droolin."
